CLINTON -- Dale D. Taylor, 56, of Clinton died 1:40 a.m. Thursday (March 27, 2003) in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to DeWitt Co. Friendship Center, Clinton.
Mr. Taylor was born Dec. 16, 1946, in Monticello, the son of Arlen Taylor and Hazel Irene Lowery. Dale enjoyed fishing and riding his bicycle.
Surviving are his mother of Clinton; sister, Linda Schmid of Clinton; brothers, Steve Taylor of Lincoln; Jim (Judy) Taylor of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his father.

MOUNT ZION -- Edythe M. Bayless, 91, of Burbank, Calif., formerly of Mount Zion, died 8:50 a.m. March 11, 2003 in Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.
Graveside services were held 9 a.m. March 14, 2003, in Forest Lawn Mortuary, Hollywood Hills, Calif.
Edythe was born Dec. 12, 1911, in Mount Zion, the daughter of William and Minnie Dennis of Dalton City. She graduated from Mount Zion Community High School in 1930, attended Browns Business College, worked for A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. and the Farm Bureau in Decatur. She also was a member of Mount Zion Presbyterian Church.
Edythe moved to Burbank in 1941 and worked for Lockheed Aircraft during World War II. She was a medical secretary for the Department of Pathology at USC School of Medicine in Los Angeles, Calif., and retired Dec. 1, 1976. She married Bennie F. Bayless (Navy) of Los Angeles on June 4, 1944. He retired from the motion picture industry in 1973 and preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1989.
Surviving are her sons, Bernard F. (Susanne) Bayless of North Hills, Calif.; Ronald F. (Bonnie) Bayless of Frazier Park, Calif.; grandchildren, Wendy Walter of Calabasas, Calif.; Casey Bayless (Coast Guard) of Kodiak, Alaska; Chris (Sheerah) Bayless of San Diego, Calif.; great-grandsons, Keenan and Terris Walter, both of Palmdale, Calif.; brother, Joseph Russell Dennis of Dalton City; sisters, Edna Dennis Smith of Normal; Dorothy Dennis Rutherford of Rochester; Erma Dennis of Burbank.

Janet was born Oct. 2, 1951, in Decatur. She graduated from MacArthur High School. She moved to Sarasota from Milwaukee, Wis., in 1995 with her two sons, Steven and Matthew. Janet was a homemaker and skin care specialist. She enjoyed her profession, but always felt her most important job in life was providing love and guidance for her sons.
Surviving are her sons, Steven and Matthew, both of Sarasota; sisters, Susan Greenwell and Nancy Clapp, both of Sarasota; brother, James Straza of Fort Myers, Fla.
The family would like to thank Pastor Keith Kruck, who gave Janet peace when she needed it most and the hospice for their knowledge, sensitivity and support during her illness. Janet wanted her friends and family to remember her with fond memories and to be happy that she was going home to be with her savior.
