DECATUR -- Kenneth R. Toca, 62, of Decatur died 9 p.m. Wednesday (March 26, 2003) in St. Mary's Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorials: American Cancer Society, Cancer Care or First Church of the Nazarene.
Kenneth was born June 6, 1940, in Taylorville, the son of Kenneth Stephens and Ethel M. Harrison Toca. Kenneth worked at A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. as a supervisor and boiler operator, where he retired in 1993. He then worked at Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. until 2001. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He married Janice Doore on Oct. 18, 1959.
Surviving are his wife; mother of Decatur; daughter, Sherilynn M. and Jim Shelton of North Canton, Ohio; brothers and sisters, Jack L. Toca Sr. of Decatur; Duane and Sharon Roe of Poteau, Okla.; Glen and Treva of Phoenix, Ariz.; Tanya and Phil Schneider of Bozeman, Mont.; Dorothy and Fred Durbin of Taylorville; Delores and Rolland Riddle of Granite City; grandson, Joshua A. Shelton, and granddaughter, Lyndsey M. Shelton, both of North Canton; many special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and his little dog, Gizmo.
He was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Suzanne M. Toca; son, Thomas E. Toca; sister, Delores Durbin; and brothers, Kerry Roe and Paul Toca.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Jurgens
ARTHUR -- Eugene E. "Yukor" Jurgens, 79, of Arthur passed away 2:10 p.m. Wednesday (March 26, 2003) in the home he was born in.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Zion United Church of Christ, rural Arthur, with the Rev. Kenneth Roedder and the Rev. Ralph Deal officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until services in the church. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home, Arcola. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: Zion United Church of Christ or Lincolnland Hospice.
Yukor was born March 15, 1924, in Douglas County, the son of Claus and Eva Hall Jurgens. He was a 1942 graduate of Atwood High School. He was a lifelong farmer and steward of the land. He was also a great sports enthusiast. His greatest joy and pride was his loving, close-knit family. He married Dorothy Maxine Scheffer on April 23, 1944, in Zion United Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife; son, Michael Jurgens and wife Connie of Chatham; daughters, Gaye Powell and husband Danny of Arthur; Kelli Barnett and husband Terry of Rockford; grandchildren, Kirk Jurgens and wife Julie of Lovington; Kristen Jurgens of Denver, Colo.; Matthew Jurgens and wife Stephanie of Champaign; Griffith Jurgens of Chatham; Kara Powell Butler and husband James of Farmer City; Joseph Powell of Mattoon; Adam Barnett of Portland, Ore.; Jack Barnett of Mattoon; Katie Barnett of Rockford; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Rachel, Jacob, William, Christopher, Trenton and Stephanie; brother, Melvin Jurgens and wife Bonnie of Grand Junction, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Kathleen Romine Jurgens.
