SULLIVAN -- Eula Ann Redman Kenney, 93, of Salem Village, Joliet, passed away Friday (March 21, 2003).
Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Green Hill Cemetery, Sullivan. As it was Eula's final wish, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation. Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Joliet, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: donor's choice.
Mrs. Kenney was born in Moultrie County and had been a Joliet resident since 1998.
Surviving are her children, Robert Kenney of Decatur; Doris (William) Sharpe of Joliet; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Mary Lou Flennikin of Bement; Betty Kenzil of Monticello; brothers, Gerald Redman of Macomb; Dale Redman of Lovington; Harold Redman of Atwood; Wayne and Lowell Redman, both of Bement; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry S. Kenney in 1967; grandson, Jeffrey Sharpe; parents; one sister and two brothers.

TUSCOLA -- Margueriete Reeder, 90, of Tuscola died 10:14 p.m. Saturday (March 22, 2003) in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Tuscola United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clyde Snyder officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hilligoss-Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola. Mrs. Reeder was born June 12, 1912, in Parke County, Ind., the daughter of Ira and Ora Tresner Smith. She was a homemaker. She married Robert H. Reeder on June 19, 1938, in Bridgeton, Ind. Mrs. Reeder and her husband farmed for 63 years northwest of Tuscola, before retiring to Jarman Center in Tuscola. She was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Tuscola Women's Club and Douglas County Museum Association. She was a former Douglas County 4-H leader.
Surviving are her husband; son, Gayle H. Reeder and wife Diane of Yuba City, Calif.; daughter, Joyce Wells and husband Don of Geneva; grandchildren, Marcella Allison and husband Tom, Jennifer Wells, Bethany Wells, Lori Powell and husband Kevin and Brian Reeder and wife Beth; great-grandchildren, Jake Allison, Nathan Allison, Kodee Powell, Kayla Powell, Kaden Powell, A.C. Reeder, Brittany Reeder and Zachary Reeder; brother, Stanley Smith of Brazil, Ind.; sisters, Genevieve Blair of Terre Haute, Ind.; Berniece Lincoln of Tuscola.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters and granddaughter, Shelby Reeder.

Mary Nash of Edinburg dies at 102
EDINBURG -- Mary Nelle Nash, 102, of Edinburg died of cancer 4:43 a.m. Monday (March 24, 2003) in Taylorville Care Center.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville, with the Rev. Ken Lawson officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Memorials: Grace Memorial Church Education Fund & Child Evangelism Fellowship of Illinois, Peoria.
Mrs. Nash was born Aug. 27, 1900, in Willeys, the daughter of Henry J. and Lucy McAdoo Hanauer. She attended Willeys Grade School, Taylorville High School and Normal University, after which she taught for five years. She moved to Edinburg in 1976.
For more than 57 years, she taught Bible classes, which included Sunday school, Good News Club for boys and girls, Child Evangelism Fellowship Teachers Training classes and Ladies Midweek Bible Study groups in Edinburg and Taylorville. She was a charter member of Grace Memorial Church in Edinburg and charter member of Edinburg Lioness Club, serving as chaplain for many years. She was honored as a community leader at the Christian County Millennium Milestones in 2000. She was co-chairman of the Edinburg Labor Day Parade. She married Orrin S. Nash Jr. on March 19, 1925, and lived in Sharpsburg until his death. He preceded her in death June 3, 1972.
Surviving are her sons, Wendell Orrin Nash and wife Julia Lee of Peoria; Harlan Eugene Nash and wife Sue of Godfrey; Donald Henry Nash and wife Genie of Colts Neck, N.J.; daughter, Margaret Boggs and husband Alvin of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Hanauer of Taylorville; one niece and one nephew; cousins in California, Connecticut and Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Harlan Hanauer.

DECATUR -- Dorothy Burnett, 86, of Decatur, passed away 5:50 a.m. Sunday (March 23, 2003) in Aspen Ridge Care Centre.

Dorothy was born March 21, 1917, in Decatur, the daughter of Harry D. and Margaret Lyons Briggs. She was a homemaker. She married Russell Burnett in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1974.
Surviving are her son, Gary Burnett of Decatur; daughter, Shirle (Stanley) Catlin of Decatur; sister, Mary Brown of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother; two sisters.

DECATUR -- Danny Neil Gandy, 61, of Decatur died 4:45 p.m. Monday (March 24, 2003) in Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Mount Zion.

Mr. Gandy was born April 21, 1941, in Decatur, the son of Gerald L. Gandy and Janet Ann Rosebraugh Gandy. He received his associates in art from Richland Community College in 2002. He loved sports and fishing. He played basketball for Stephen Decatur High School.
Surviving are his sons, Todd Daniel Gandy and wife Mary Beth of Harrison, Ohio; Chad Michael Gandy of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Becky J. Sadomytschenko and husband John of Decatur; grandson, Nicholas D. Gandy; special aunt, Wanda Stickles of Decatur; special friends, Sherry Reed and family of Decatur; faculty and friends from Richland Community College.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
