William `Bill' Olmstead of Naperville/Aurora
Memorial services for William `Bill' Olmstead, 44, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Born July 25, 1954, in Ellsworth, S. D., he died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago. Interment will be private.
Previously of Tucson, Ariz., and Rapid City, S. D., Mr. Olmstead was a graduate of Central High School in Rapid City and attended the University of South Dakota.
He had lived in the Naperville/Aurora area for the past seven years and had been employed by Miller Laundry Companies for two years. He was also a member of the Fox Valley Aero Club.
He was the loving husband for 17 years of Mary Olmstead (nee Rasmusson); special father of twin sons, Jeffery and Jonathan of Aurora; dear son of Milo and Beulah Olmstead of Rapid City; and dear son-in-law of Vernon and MildredRasmusson of Rapid City.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

August W. Petty of Arlington Heights
Funeral services for August W. Petty, 61, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove.
Mr. Petty died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare.
A veteran of the Marine Corps, Mr. Petty was a retired chauffeur for Household International of Prospect Heights with 25 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Carol F. (nee Cwiklinski); sister, Barbara Petty; niece, Diane Holek; and nephews, Russell Anderson and Joseph, David and Daniel Cwiklinski.

Karen Platt of Buffalo Grove
Funeral services for Karen Platt (nee Saval), 51, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Temple Chai, on Checker Road west of Arlington Heights Road, Long Grove.
Mrs. Platt died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, following a difficult battle with cancer. Interment will be in Shalom Memorial Park.
Mrs. Platt was a longtime member of Temple Chai and was involved with the sisterhood, choir, and board of directors. She was the past president of Na'Amat, a board member of the Midwest Federation of Temple Sisterhoods, and a life member and past president of Bnai Brith Women.
She was the dearly beloved wife of Paul; devoted mother of Jeffrey; dear daughter of the late Betty and Jack Saval and daughter-in-law of Shirley and the late Leon Platt; and fond sister of Alan Saval and sister-in-law of Jack (Karen), David and Jay Platt.

Born April 19, 1934, in Hamburg, Germany, he died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk GroveVillage. Interment will be private.
Mr. Reimann came to the United States at the age of 14 and worked as a bricklayer. He eventually became a partner in Flex Construction, Inc., a company involved with the development of industrial construction, a position he held for 16 years.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Reimann; sons, Andrew (Kristen) Reimann, Kenneth Reimann and Christopher Lakeman; mother, Elisabeth Henrichsen; and brother, Frank Reiman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willi Reimann.

Jennie L. Roff formerly of St. Charles
Services for Jennie L. Roff, 88, of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. The Rev. Kenneth Alhstrand will officiate.
Born Nov. 3, 1910, in St. Charles, to Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson, she died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, after a long illness. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Roff was a longtime resident of St. Charles and had moved to Sturgeon Bay 23 years ago. She was formerly employed by the DuKane Corporation. On June 19, 1964, she married John Roff in St. Charles.
Survivors include her husband, John, and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Harold, Lloyd, Herbert and Thure.

Charles Ludwig Schulz III formerly of Hoffman Estates

He was the beloved husband of the late Helen C. Schulz; loving fatherof Charles L. Schulz IV, Charlene V. Chilo and Susan M. Bernasek; and cherished grandfather of Gary A. Chilo Jr., Katie Lynn Bernasek and Christopher G. Bernasek.

Virginia `Sherry' Sherman of Arlington Heights

Born April 2, 1922, in Mount Cory, Ohio, she died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Manor Care of Arlington Heights. Burial will be in Irving Park Cemetery.
She was a member of Christian Liberty Academy, where she worked as school secretary for many years and was the regular soloist for Sunday School services. She was also a singer for many of the Big Bands from the 1930's and 1940's.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Michael F., whom she married on Nov. 17, 1959; children, Gary Mullett of Denver, Colo., Michael (Kelly)Mullett of Minneapolis, Minn., John (Rebecca) Sherman of Elkhart, Ind. and James Sherman of Arlington Heights; four grandchildren; and sister, Jeanette `Mickey' Moyer of Park Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth; and sister, Ernestine.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Charles A. Stulb lifelong resident of Wheaton
Memorial services for Charles A. Stulb, 55, will be held at 7 p.m. today, at Faith Evangelical Covenant Church, 2 S 571 Lake View (off of west Butterfield Road, across from Herrick Lake Forest Preserve), Wheaton.
Born March 21, 1943, he died at home Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999.
Mr. Stulbworked for many years at the Wheaton Post Office where he was superintendent of postal operations and manager of customer relations. Following his retirement from the post office, he remained active in the National Association ofPostal Supervisors, serving as president from 1988 to 1993. He also worked briefly for United Airlines and most recently for the National Association of Evangelicals. He graduated from Eureka College in Eureka, Ill., where he wasa member of Lambda Chi Fraternity. He was long active in various charities and service organizations. He was a charter member of DuPage County Kiwanis Club and supported the March of Dimes and the National Hemophilia Association. Friends remember him as a longtime member of the Wheaton Thursday Night Bowling League. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Covenant church, where he served as deacon. As a youth, he had been a charter member of the Pleasant Hill Church Sunday School in Wheaton.
He is survived by his brother-in-law and sister, Richard and Jackie Morris of Toronto, Canada; niece, Michelle Rutledge; and nephew, Kevin Morris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Virginia Stulb.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church, prior to the memorial service.

Robert J. Thoreson formerly of Villa Park

Mr. Thoreson died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at home.
A World War II veteran, he retired from Northern Illinois Gas Company in 1982, after 40 years of service.

John F. Uscila of Round Lake Park
A visitation and prayer service for John F. Uscila, 82, was held Sunday, Jan. 17, at Justen's Round Lake Funeral Home.
Born Dec. 16, 1916, in Chicago, to Joseph and Marcella (nee Paulauskas) Uscila, he died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Inurnment will bein Hammond Cemetery, Hammond, Ill.
Mr. Uscila was a resident of Round Lake Park since 1943. He was employed by the Grand Trunk Railroad for 20 years in the freight division, and later by Anchor Coupling in Libertyville for 20 years. He also served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Mr. Uscila was a retired member of the United Auto Workers Union #1755. Among his special interests, he enjoyed classical music.
Survivors include his children, Richard Lee (Rosemary) Uscila of Round Lake Park, Roger Lee Uscila of Milwaukee, Wis., Nancy Jean (Don Moreno) Arendt-Moreno ofLake Villa and Marcy Jean (Jim) Friedle of Muncie, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Daisy Uscila of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie Jean Uscila (nee Gentry), in December 1985; grandson, Richard Lee Uscila Jr., in 1986; and brothers, Anton and William Uscila.
