CLINTON -- Aleta Z. Hendrix, 91, of Clinton died 4:43 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 27, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Argenta Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Michael Wakeland officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, and one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials: DeWitt County Friendship Center or Argenta Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Hendrix was born Sept. 8, 1911, in Bement, the daughter of Bert and Clara Burchard Loudenback. She joined the Clinton United Methodist Church after the Shiloh United Methodist Church closed. She was a member of Creek Township Home Extension. She enjoyed working with her hands, knitting, crocheting, plastic canvas, embroidering and quilting. She married Paul E. Hendrix on June 22, 1929, in Cerro Gordo. He passed away in 1968. She and her husband farmed in the Maroa area for many years.
Surviving are her daughter, Betty Ann (Victor) Kizer of Maroa; grandchildren, Randall (Lisa) Kizer of Jacksonville, Fla.; Kevin Kizer of Chicago; Kenneth (Lori) Kizer of Zwingle, Iowa; Pamela (Doug) LeConte of White Heath; great-grandchildren, Devon Kizer, Preston Kizer, Paige Kizer, Payton Kizer, Hunter LeConte, Hayden LeConte and RubyAnn Kizer; brother, Robert (Luan) Loudenbeck of Decatur; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
She will be missed very much by her family.

Erna O. Schlachter Mock, 86, of Latham was called home to be with her beloved husband Sam at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 26, 2003) in Manor Care Nursing Home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, with visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Memorials: Zion Lutheran Church, Mount Pulaski or Manor Care Nursing Home.
Erna was born July 16, 1916, in Decatur, the daughter of Emil and Bertha Starosta Schlachter. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski. She was a homemaker, registered nurse and Latham waterworks clerk for more than 30 years. She married Cecil Sam Mack in Decatur.
Surviving are her son, William "Bill" Mock of Latham; daughter, Gretchen Alexander of Decatur; sister, Agnes McKay and husband Dude of Decatur; grandson, T.J. Alexander and wife Allie of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Zoey; great-stepgrandchild, Dakota.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Robinson was born Oct. 9, 1937, in Lovington, the son of Faye A. Abbleby and Roy E. Robinson. He accepted the Lord on Dec. 31, 2001. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Arthur and retired from Yellow Freight Truck Lines, Chicago. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, vacationing, golfing
and visiting. We will carry his love with us.
Surviving are his sons, Monte (P.J.) of Greenup; Rick (Dawn) of Arthur; James of Colorado; daughters, Jill (Scott) Beals of Effingham; Rita (Brad) Cox of Charleston; grandchildren, Holly and Mallory Robinson of Greenup; Liberty and Lance Robinson of Arthur; Nathan Cox of Charleston; Jordan and Allison Beals of Effingham; fiancee, Sharon Bulow of Chicago; sisters, Judy (Larry) Shafer and Carolyn (Albert) Sowers, both of Jewett.

Lola Colclasure of Flora dies at 102
FLORA -- Lola Alice Colclasure, 102, of Flora, formerly of Clay City, died 2 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 27, 2003) in Flora Healthcare Center.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, Flora, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Oak Mound Cemetery, Xenia.
Mrs. Colclasure was born May 3, 1900, in Xenia, the daughter of Lonnie and Molly Frye Lee. She was a homemaker and affiliated with Bethlehem Christian Church, Clay City. She married Clyde E. Colclasure on Oct. 24, 1916. He preceded her in death July 5, 1949.
Surviving are her sons, Ivan "Ike" Colclasure and wife Vera of Flora; Melvin "Jiggs" Colclasure and wife Peggy of Olympia, Wash.; Tommy Colclasure and wife Betty Ann of Mattoon; Jackie "Jake" Colclasure of Washington, Ind.; Gerald Ray "Rich" and friend Rita Caywood of Mattoon; daughter, Betty Cooper of Clay City; brother, Ernest Lee and wife Dolly of Flora; 28 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, one sister, three sons, two daughters and two great-grandsons.
Alma Cross of Emden dies at 101
EMDEN -- Alma J. Cross, 101, of Emden died 12:15 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 26, 2003) in Christian Village, Lincoln.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Emden, with the Revs. David L. Hofer and Frank Pieper officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and one hour before services, both in the church. Burial will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: St. Peter Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Cross was born Jan. 22, 1902, in Emden, the daughter of Edward and Anna Bruns Conklen. She was affiliated with St. Peter Lutheran Church and a member of Ladies Aid and Good Samaritans Society. She married William C. Cross on Sept. 3, 1924, in Emden. He preceded her in death Oct. 3, 1975.
Surviving are her daughter, Betty Ann (Leonard) Krusemark of Emden; sons, William W. (Frances) Cross and Gene L. (Wanda) Cross, all of Emden; brother, George (Donna) Conklen of Sherman; sister-in-law, Margot Cross of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, one sister, one daughter and two grandsons.
Grace Nash of Nokomis dies at 100
NOKOMIS -- Grace Virginia Howell Nash, 100, of Nokomis died 12:05 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 26, 2003) in Hillsboro Area Hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Sutton Funeral Home, Nokomis, with visitation 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery. Memorials: St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Nokomis.
Mrs. Nash was born Dec. 27, 1902, in Nokomis, the daughter of Albert and Mary Grimes Howell. She was a homemaker, charter member of Order of the Eastern Star and member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She married John Nash on Feb. 7, 1925, in Nokomis. He preceded her in death Sept. 4, 1947.
Surviving are her son, John Nash and wife Lori of Port Richey, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Ann Nash of Nokomis; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Leona Kroenlein and husband Ambrose, Mary Workman and Velma Kicks, all of Nokomis.
She was preceded by her parents; husband; son, Donald Nash; grandson, Larry Nash; sisters, Marjorie Compton, Lola Howell, and brothers, Dale Howell and Lewis Howell.

WARRENSBURG -- Mary Helen Lyons Brubeck, 79, of Warrensburg went home to be with her Lord 1:40 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 27, 2003) in her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Brubeck was born April 3, 1923, in Taylorville, the daughter of Preston A. and Alberta Hayward Lyons. She was a homemaker.
