Brosamer

DECATUR -- Vivian Shofner Brosamer, 67, of Decatur died Monday (Feb. 17, 2003) in her home.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Dennis Kollross officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home with 4:30 p.m. vigil prayer service. Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Habitat for Humanity, Box 4112, Decatur, IL 62521, or St. Teresa Educational Foundation.

Vivian Joyce Shofner was born Sept. 12, 1935, in Greenup, the daughter of Oliver and Gladys Sherwood Shofner. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School and graduated with honors from Springfield College. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Vivian was an avid reader and master gardener who enjoyed needlepoint and other crafts. She was a loving caregiver and provider to her family. She married Lowell Brosamer on Dec. 28, 1957 in St. Mary's Church, Lincoln.

Surviving are her husband; son, Peter (Dawn) Brosamer of Decatur; daughters, Melissa Brosamer and friend Leonard Leach of Springfield; Laura (Chris) Brosamer-Senger of Decatur; Mary (Sean) Keohane of Canyon Country, Calif.; Elizabeth (Ariel) Valdes of Countryside; Jane (Steve) Allison of Decatur; Sarah Brosamer of Decatur; grandchildren, Jessica, Alexander, Mary Katherine "Katie" Brosamer-Senger; Blake, Jackson and Madeline Allison, Paxton Brosamer, all of Decatur; Gabriel, Sebastian and Pilar Valdes of Countryside.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and brother, Sherwood Shofner.

Special thanks to the Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois and DMH Home Health & Hospice Services for the care they gave Vivian.

McMillion

DECATUR -- Michael James "Mike" McMillion, 18, of Decatur went home to be with the Lord Wednesday morning (Feb. 19, 2003) in his home, as a result of a congenital heart defect that was undetected.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes with visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials: Mound Chapel Church of God.

Mike was born Nov. 28, 1984, in Decatur, the son of Richard Alan and Dianne Ellen Deck McMillion. He was an active member of Mound Chapel Church of God. Mike was a senior at Meridian High School and a member of the choir. He was employed at Blockbuster Video. Mike was in the delayed entry program for the U.S. Navy Corps and was planning to specialize in cryptology upon graduation. He enjoyed all aspects of computers and was an avid hunter. He was a NASCAR fan, especially of 24, Jeff Gordon.

Surviving are his parents of Decatur; brother and sister, Nick and Erin, both at home; grandparents, Pastor C.Q. and Betty McMillion of Decatur; Wilbur and Mary Deck of Redondo Beach, Calif.; aunts and uncles, John McMillion and wife Joyce of Argenta; Rhonda McMillion-White and husband Bryan of Decatur; Marsha McMillion-Koonce and husband Jason of Elwin; Julie Deck-Dickey and husband Steve of Alpharetta, Ga.; Terri Sue Deck-Sherlock and husband Dave of Long Beach, Calif.; 11 cousins; close friends, Kyle Meece and Tyler Tharp; girlfriend, Sarah Riley; confidant and close friend, Elly Perry; many close friends from church, work and school.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and uncle, Sam Brown.

His lovely smile will be greatly missed.

Baker

MOUNT ZION -- Wilma B. Fulford Baker, 75, of Terre Haute, Ind., died Wednesday morning (Feb. 19, 2003) in Mount Zion.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday, DeBaun Springhill Chapel, Terre Haute, with the Rev. Larry Mathias officiating. Visitation will be two hours before services. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials: American Cancer Society or First Church of the Nazarene, 801 Fort Harrison Road, Terre Haute, IN 47804.

Wilma was born Nov. 9, 1927, in Greene County, the daughter of Elmer G. and Via Miller Fulford.

Surviving are her son, the Rev. Robert R. Baker and wife Debra of Mount Zion; daughter, Sherry M. Dunbar of Terre Haute; stepson, Thomas Baker and wife Melony of Terre Haute; brother, Hubert G. Fulford and wife Frances of Terre Haute; sisters, Ruth Drocasler and husband Wilfred of California; Leona Taylor and husband Harold of Brazil; Carolyn Sons and husband Gene of Terre Haute; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and stepgrandchildren and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Donna Patrick; stepdaughter, Mary Lu Gibbons; sister, Norma Summerlot; and brother, Elmer Eugene Fulford.

Camp

DECATUR -- Mary Beth Camp, 23, of Decatur went to be with the Lord Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kirk Cunningham officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home and one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or Lutheran School Association.

Mary was born Sept. 24, 1979, in Decatur, the daughter of Jeffrey and Cheryl Hedrick Camp. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and the church bell choir. She had worked for United Parcel Service. Mary was a 1997 graduate of Stephen Decatur High School and a 1999 graduate of Richland Community College, where she was a member of the Breakfast Club and Trio.

She is survived by her parents, Jeffrey and Cheryl Camp of Decatur; grandparents, Kenneth and Phyllis Hedrick and Eleanor and Bob Spracklen, all of Decatur; Leo Camp and Betty of Griffin, Ga.; sister, Michele Camp of Decatur; uncle, John (Lisa) Hedrick of Decatur; aunts, Judy (Mark) Burrow of Altamont; Lori Mellon of Decatur; several cousins and a large church family.

Crow

DECATUR -- Margaret Rose Crow, 89, of Decatur died 6:52 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) in Lincoln Manor.

Funeral liturgy will be 1 p.m. Friday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Visitation was Thursday. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials: St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Mrs. Crow was born Dec. 29, 1913, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Harry McLaughlin and Amelia McFarland Coburn. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was a loving homemaker. She married Harold J. Crow on March 16, 1935.

Surviving are her husband; daughters, Norma Cooper and husband Floyd and Gloria Shutter and husband Gary, all of Decatur; sister, Mary Spidle and husband Clark of Flint, Mich.; grandchildren, Leesa Lauderdale and husband Richard of Streator; Laura Armon and husband Tony of Salt Lake City, Utah; Stacey Hedden and husband Brad, Shannen Ray and husband Josh and J.J. Shutter, all of Decatur; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Lincoln Manor for all their loving care. Margaret will be sadly missed by everyone.

Eckart

DECATUR -- Billy Lee Eckart, 51, Decatur, died Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003). Arrangements incomplete: Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home.

Henry

DECATUR -- Autry Henry Jr., 67, of Decatur passed from this life 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2003) in his home.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Christ Tabernacle Church. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Walker Funeral Service and Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Henry was born Nov. 10, 1935, in Arkansas, to the union of Autry Henry Sr. and Frankie Gulley Henry. He formerly worked in Caterpillar Inc. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. One of his favorite hobbies was fishing. He married Edna M. Rice.

He leaves to cherish memories of him, his wife; children, Johnnie Henry, Shonda Tyson, Timmy Henry, William Henry, Shrita Woodley, Alan Henry, Hannibal Henry and Julia Henry, all of Decatur; stepchildren, whom he loved as his very own, Antoine and Michael Whitfield, both of Colorado; Sissy Bowers of Texas; Cindy Smith and Rebecca T. Lynn, both of Decatur, Solomon Lynn and La'Vall Tumer, both of Iowa; brothers, Alan Henry of Georgia; William Henry of Florida; Tony Henry of Louisiana; sisters, Lauretha Jackson of Muncie, Ind.; Lavette and Carla Henry, both of Kansas City, Kan.; 23 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brothers, Theoplis and Theodis Henry.

Autry Henry was a family man who loved not only his kids, but all those who knew him.

Harvey

DECATUR -- Gene Edward Harvey, 66, Decatur, died Monday (Feb. 17, 2003).

Services: noon Saturday, First Church of God in Christ. Visitation: one hour before services in the church. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, with military rites. Arrangements by: Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes. Memorials: First Church of God in Christ.

Kennedy

DECATUR -- Franklin Bruce "Balooka" Kennedy, 44, of Decatur died Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2003).

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials: Bruce Kennedy Burial Fund at Soy Capital Bank.

Bruce was born Feb. 17, 1959, in Hardinsburg, Ky., the son of Silas and Nancy Pate Kennedy. He worked as a bouncer in many local clubs and taverns. He was a 10-year recipient of the Channing Rock Award in recognition of friendship and service of many local bands.

Surviving are his sisters, Darlene Dasenbrock and husband Jim, Janette Lucas and husband James and Tammy Esposito-Rodgers and husband Josh, all of Decatur; sister-in-law, Margie Pate of Kentucky; brother, Bubby Kennedy and wife Judy of Maroa; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Samual "Scotty" Pate.

He was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by us all.

Livingston

DECATUR -- Myrtle Frances Livingston, 100, Catlin, formerly of Decatur, died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003).

Services: 2 p.m. Friday, J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation: one hour before services. Burial: Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorials: American Heart Association.

Magill

DECATUR -- John Edward "Bones" Magill, 89, of Decatur died 10:24 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2003) in his home.

Committal services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Graceland Star of Hope Chapel. There will be no visitation. Entombment will be in Star of Hope Mausoleum. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John was born July 2, 1913, in Quincy, the son of Edward M. and Callie Green Magill. He was an engineer for the Wabash and Norfolk & Western Railway Co. for 31 years. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose 684, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks 401 and Engineers Union Local 49. He married Margaret Ellen Prater on Sept. 10, 1938. She preceded him in death Sept. 15, 1999.

Surviving are his son, Michael Magill and wife Penny of Phenix City, Ala.; sister Vera Magill of Quincy; four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister, Jane.

Miller

DECATUR -- Loren Harold Miller, 78, Paxton, formerly of Decatur, died Sunday (Feb. 16, 2003).

Graveside services: 11 a.m. Friday, Fairlawn Cemetery with military rites. No visitation. Arrangements by Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials: Parkinson's Foundation.

Adams

TAYLORVILLE -- George E. "Ernie" Adams, 56, Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Taylorville, city of Phoenix, Ariz., employee, died Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2003).

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Christ's Tabernacle Church, Herrick. Visitation: one hour before services in the church. Arrangements by: Wallace-Carroll Funeral Home, Herrick.

Member: Christ Tabernacle Church, Herrick. Survivors: daughter, Dawn L. Cox, Herrick; mother, Hattie G. Adams, Taylorville; brother, Danny Adams, Taylorville; sister, Anita Netherton, Decatur; two grandchildren.

Fleming

LOVINGTON -- Marcia L. Fleming, 44, Champaign, formerly of Lovington, died Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003). Arrangements incomplete: Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan.

Curran

CERRO GORDO -- Gerald Nevell Curran, 75, Cerro Gordo, retired farmer, died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003).

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Church of the Brethren, Cerro Gordo. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the church, with 8 p.m. Masonic services. Burial: Cerro Gordo Cemetery, with military rites.
