Rodgers
FORSYTH -- Harold W. Rodgers, 73, of Forsyth passed away 4:56 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) after a long battle with heart disease in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Dawson & Wikoff Colonial Chapel North Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Weldon Cemetery. Memorials: Ronald McDonald Charities.
Mr. Rodgers was born Feb. 17, 1929, in Wayne County, the son of Vern and Dixie Thompson Rodgers. He farmed for many years in the Maroa area. He was formerly employed by Decatur Public School District 61 and had assisted with services at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Homes. He was an Air Force veteran. He married Norma J. Fugate on Sept. 10, 1950. He later married Betty Wilson Shaw on July 6, 1972.
Surviving are his wife; children, David Rodgers and wife Connie of Maroa; Paula Hall and husband Mike of Mount Zion; Monte Rodgers and wife Britne of Decatur; stepchildren, Cynthia Wiott of St. Louis, Mo.; Steven Shaw and wife Dee Dee of Dewitt; Marcia Boyer and husband Steve of Six Lakes, Mich.; brothers, Bernard Rodgers of Ludlow; Leonard Rodgers and wife Judy of Lafayette, Ind.; Howard Rodgers of Effingham; sisters, Mary Hitchens and husband Lloyd of Urbana; Vera Lee of St. Charles; Loretta Chaney and husband Kenny of Rantoul; grandchildren, Mike Rodgers and wife Heather; Nick Rodgers; Jamie Rodgers; Austin Rodgers; Kristen Hall; Melissa Rodgers; Matthew Rodgers; stepgrandchildren, Eric Swanson and wife Brandy; Jon Swanson; Britta Swanson; Danielle Edwards; Alison Williams; Kathleen Case; Kassandra Case; Jacob Shaw and wife Sarah; great-stepgranddaughter, Alexandria Shaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth; two brothers and three sisters.

MOWEAQUA -- Frances May Bilyeu, 90, of Moweaqua died 8:30 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) in Moweaqua Nursing & Retirement Center.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with visitation two hours before services. Burial will be in Bilyeu Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials: Christian Church Memorial Fund.
Frances was born Oct. 11, 1912, in Prairieton Township (Assumption), the daughter of James and Mary Mitts Johnston. She was a homemaker and member of the Christian County Farm Bureau and First Christian Church of Moweaqua. She married Haldon Bilyeu on March 9, 1935, in Mattoon. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Surviving are her sons, Larry Bilyeu and wife Margaret Ann and Dale Bilyeu, all of Moweaqua; twin brother, Roy Johnston and wife Marcella of Moweaqua; granddaughters, Theresa Ann Zachek of Appleton, Wis.; Mary Robling of Moweaqua; Marcie Evans of Taylorville; Joe Aaron Bilyeu of Moweaqua; five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Earl.
Frances loved to cook for her family. She was a wonderful caretaker of her family and will be greatly missed.

Lloyd was born on Oct. 16, 1931, in Lincoln, the son of Harold and Margaret Bruns Hellman. He served in the
Army from 1952-54. Upon discharge, he began farming and continued to farm in Atlanta, Beason, Hartsburg and Emden areas. He was a member of Logan County Board, Logan County Farm Bureau Board and Prairie Creek Drainage District. He was a Hartsburg Emden school board director, served 28 years as a farm credit director, past commander of the Emden American Legion Post and director of the Logan County Conservation Agency. He married Alberta Luken on June 29, 1952, in San Jose.
Surviving are his wife; son, Brent (Bonnie) Hellman of Emden; daughter, Ann Marie (Brian) Hilgendorf of Emden; grandsons, Blaine Hellman and Taylor and Timothy Hilgendorf; brothers, Norman (Loretta) Hellman of Emden; Don (Donna) Hellman of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Melvin.
