CLINTON -- Travis C. Rasor, 20, of Clinton died 7 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 11, 2003) in his parents' home in Clinton.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church, Clinton, with Ernie Harvey Jr. and J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton.

Travis was born April 22, 1982, in Springfield, the son of Jeffery Lee and Kathy Sue Merz Rasor. He graduated from Clinton Community High School in 2001 and was employeed at Lowes in Forsyth. He was a member of First Christian Church of Clinton.
Surviving are his parents; grandparents, John "Jack" and Sharon Merz of Springfield; Charles and Donna Rasor of Clinton; great-grandmother, Myrtle Tremain, Springfield; brother, Justin Rasor of Clinton; sister, Alyssa Rasor of Clinton; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Gertrude Merz and great-grandfather, Leo Tremain.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Stepping
PANA -- Lela Roberta Stepping, 86, of Pana died 11:40 p.m. Friday (Jan. 10, 2003) in Aspen Ridge Care Center.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Mound Cemetery, Pana, with the Rev. Walter B. Carlson officiating. There will be no visitation. McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Alzheimer's Association.
Mrs. Stepping was born Dec. 3, 1916, in Pana, the daughter of Joseph and Onema Vaughn Lester. She was a graduate of Pana Township High School and lived most of her life in Pana. Mrs. Stepping was a homemaker and a member of United Methodist Church, Pana; Pana Optimist Club; and Pana Community Hospital Auxiliary. She married Philip Stepping. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Surviving are her son, Jerry Stepping of Oreana; grandchildren, Andrea Garcia of Dallas, Texas; Phil Stepping of Chicago; friend, Karla Stepping of Pana.

DECATUR -- Jimmy Allen Crose, 67, of Decatur made a peaceful transition 8:27 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) in St. Mary's Hospital with his daughters by his side.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes with visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery
with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials: American Lung Association.
Jimmy was born Feb. 19, 1935, in Decatur, the son of Robert Lester and Martha Mae Munson Crose. He served in the Marine Corps during the
Korean War. His favorite pastimes were reading and fishing. He married Judith Muzzy on Oct. 26, 1964.

DECATUR -- Mary Marguerite Duncan, 88, of Decatur passed away Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) in her home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes with visitation one hour before services. Memorials: Forsyth United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Duncan was born Sept. 5, 1914, in Mount Auburn, to the late George Tipton and Hattie Antonette Reindl Deavult. She was a graduate of Illiopolis High School Class of 1933. She worked as an assembler for General Electric Co. until her retirement and was a member of Forsyth United Methodist Church. She married Willard Duncan on Nov. 13, 1937, in St. Louis, Mo.
Surviving are her husband; daughter, F. Charline Finch and husband George of Decatur; grandchildren, Clay Finch and wife Robin of Florida; Trudy Jones and husband Mike of Dawson; Sharon Moyer and Rick Finch, both of Decatur; seven great-grandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Van, Cline and Lyle Deavult; sister, Geneva Wright; and grandson, Steven Finch.
Harred
DECATUR -- Robert A. Harred, 86, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) in Columbus.
Memorial services to celebrate the lives of Bob and Dorothy Harred will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Schoedinger East Chapel, Columbus. Visitation will be one hour before services. Inurnment will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Beloit, Wis. Condolences may be left for the family at www.schoedinger.com.
Robert married Dorothy Ellen Majers on Dec. 30, 1939, in Decatur. She preceded him in death Jan. 6, 1996.
Surviving are 11 nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends.

DECATUR -- Lester J. Grant, 96, Decatur, died Thursday (Jan. 9, 2003).

DECATUR -- Mabel Ann Hayes, 86, of Decatur died 3:20 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) in McKinley Court Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Honey Bend. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
Mabel was born April 19, 1916, in Litchfield, the daughter of Champion and Minnie A. Brown Paden. She married Orval C. Hayes in 1947.
Surviving are her son, Terry Hayes and wife Mary Ellen of Bridgeton, Mo.; grandchildren, Michelle Hayes of Springfield; Sean Hayes, Robert Cody Hayes and Kelsey Hayes, all of Bridgeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
LeHew
DECATUR -- Ola M. LeHew, 96, of Decatur died Monday (Jan. 13, 2003) in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor J. Martin Eckert officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in LaPlace Cemetery. J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials: Holy Cross Lutheran church.
Mrs. LeHew was born Sept. 8, 1906, the daughter of Charles and Mary Peck Weakley. She worked in Ready to Wear at Linn & Scruggs, retiring in 1968. She was a charter and former member of Christ Lutheran Church and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She married Arnold LeHew in 1923 in Monticello. He preceded her in death in 1991.
Surviving are her son, Jack (Sharon) LeHew of Tampa, Fla.; daughter, Louise Kelly of Decatur; sister, Amanda Whitmore of Danville; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, three brothers, two sisters, one grandson and one great-grandson.
