Private services will be held for Bernice M. Erickson, age 91.
Born Aug. 31, 1907, in Chicago, she passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at home.
A five-year resident of Fox Lake, she had formerly lived in Round Lake and was a member of the Round Lake `Happy Seniors.' She leaves her stepdaughter, Donna J. Sass of California; brother, William (Evelyn) Abramovske of North Riverside; nephews, William (Sherry) Abermoske of Ingleside and Arthur (Lou) Ingerman of Marengo; niece, Marilyn (Joe) Sajdak of Douglas, Mich.; and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Minium in 1950, and Nels Richard Erickson.

Mary Phyllis Falk of Carpentersville
Mary Phyllis Falk, 71, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at ProvenaSt. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. She was born April 10, 1927, in Chicago.
A 43-year resident of Carpentersville, sheis survived by her husband of 19 years, LeRoy; son, Thomas Chorley of Belmont, Calif.; stepsons, Michael (Mary) Falk of Maryshill, Wash. and Steven Falk of Las Vegas, Nev.; and grandchildren, Ethan, Jennifer, Justine and Dillon `Gus'.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Catherine Quinn Trombo; and one sister.
At Mary Phyllis's request, there will be no visitation or service and interment will be private.

A member of the Screen Actors Guild, he was the beloved husband of Irene Fisher (nee Weiss); loving father ofDiane Fisher; and dear brother of Howard (Mary) Fisher and Sarah Selwyn.

Henry A. Flentge of Des Plaines
Services for Henry A. Flentge, 90, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
Born Sept. 3, 1908, in Des Plaines, he died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at Holy Family Hospital, Des Plaines. Burial will be in Town of Maine Cemetery.
A lifelong residentof Des Plaines, Mr. Flentge had worked for 30 years as a plant engineer for Benjamin Electric. He retired in 1963.
He was the dear brother of Herbert Flentge of Des Plaines and the late Louis G. Flentge; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Grace F. Gates of Naperville
A memorial service for Grace F. Gates, 89, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Grace United Methodist Church, 300 E. Gartner Rd., Naperville. Rev. Paul Whittle will officiate.
Born Dec. 7, 1909, she died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Manorcare Health Services in Naperville. Interment will be private.
A lifelong resident of Naperville, Mrs. Gates did clerical work for Koehler Manufacturing Company, the Favor Ruhl Company in Chicago and worked for 16 years at the Naperville National Bank. She had been a life member of the Grace United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for more than 25 years. She was also a lifetime member of theNaperville Art League.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy MacLeod of San Antonio, Texas and Carol Szymanski of Des Plaines; sisters, Eunice Jacobsen of Seminole, Fla., and Roberta (Everett M. D.) Schaeffer of Berea, Ky.; one grandson; five granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Minnie (nee Fey) Fry; husband, Sanford Gates in 1975; brothers, Arthur, Robert and Clinton Fry; and sons-in-law, Robert MacLeod and Richard Szymanski.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Sunday, at the church.

Lawrence E. Greer of Elgin
Services for Lawrence E. Greer, 66, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.
Born Dec. 19, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio, to Lawrence and Lillian (nee Harper) Greer, he died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at home. Burial will be private in Circleville, Ohio.
Mr. Greer had been a resident of Elgin for the past 37 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Elgin.
Survivors include his sons, Ronald L. (Rita) Greer of South Elgin, Donald L. (Bette) Greer of South Elgin and David R. (Susan) Greer of Elgin; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Greer of Seattle, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Marlene Greer (nee Rife), Dec. 7, 1998.

Warren G. Hess of Ontarioville

Born Nov. 5, 1919, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Hospice House. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Bartlett.
A lifelong resident of Ontarioville, Mr. Hess was the former postmaster for the town as well as a volunteer for the Ontarioville Fire Department. A veteran, he had served in the Navy during World War II.
He was the beloved husband of the late Marie Hess; loving father of Frank Miller and Marlene (Ross) Flinchem; dear brother of Margaret (the late Paul) Ruiz and the late Carl (the late Kay) Hess; cherished grandfather of four; and great-grandfather of four.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Julia T. Irving

Mrs. Irving was a veteran of World War II, having served in Europe. She continued in civil service in Japan after the war. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in Algonquin.
Survivors include her daughters, Terese Kathleen Constantino of South Elgin and Maureen M. (Dean) Schuette of Marengo; grandchildren, Joseph (Brandy) Constantino of Colorado, Katherine T. Faulds of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and Leonore Belle Faulds of Chicago; great-granddaughter, Sky Lea-Terese Constantino; brother-in-law, Henry Pieniazek of Lombard; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Eileen von Axelson, Peggy Murphy and Nellie Rose Pienizaek; and brother, Daniel Murphy.

Klara Ida Kollacks of Libertyville
Services for Klara Ida Kollacks, 96, formerly of Chicago, will be held at 3 p.m. today, at the Faith Lutheran Church, Deerpath Rd. and Route 41, Lake Forest.
Born Sept. 13, 1902, in Hoernitz, Germany, she died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at the home of her son in Libertyville. Interment will be in Concordia Cemetery, Forest Park.
She came to the United States in 1924 and was a Chicago resident most of her life. She was a member of the German American National Congress and the Ascension Lutheran Church. Before her retirement, she had been employed as a dress maker for the Adrian-Tabin Clothing Manufacturing Company in Chicago.
Surviving are her children, Ingeborg (Peter) Drotleff of San Diego, Calif., Wolfram (Linda) Kollacks of Libertyville and Barbara Kollacks of Chicago; grandchildren, Ann Marie, Werner, Erich, Christina, Lisa and Diana; and great-grandchildren, Kurt, Stephanie, Rebekah and Deborah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ida Richter; husband, Walther on Dec. 20, 1973; sister, Lisabeth; and brothers, Erich, Werner and Albert.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services today, at the church.

Wilbert Donald Leschke of Elgin

Born Aug. 25, 1922, in Elgin, to Henry and Erna (nee Spohnholtz) Leschke, he passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in Plato Center Cemetery.
A World War II veteran, Mr. Leschke served in the Air Force from 1942 to 1945 in England and Germany. He was employed by the Shakeprof Division of Illinois Toolworks in Elgin for 29 years, prior to his retirement in 1983. He was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church (formerly FaithUnited Methodist Church), the Golden `K' Kiwanis Club and American Legion Post 57.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Leschke, whom he married Dec. 18, 1954; sons, Larry (Sharon) and Donald (Eileen) Leschke, both of Elgin; stepsons, Larry (Nancy) Studt of Roselle, James Studt of Chicago and Michael (Jane) Studt of Elgin; grandchildren, Todd, Sheri, Troy and Stephanie Leschke, and Geoffrey, Matthew, Sean and Ashley Studt; great-grandchildren, Sara, Tiffanyand Donovan; brother, Henry (Shirley) Leschke; niece, Judy; and nephews, Richard and Cory.
He was preceded in deathby his parents; and brother, Howard Leschke, on June 25, 1998.
