AUBURN -- Agnes M. "Agnie" Miller, 94, of Auburn died 2 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) in Lynncrest Manor, Auburn.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home, Auburn, with the Rev. Richard R. Harre officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour before services. Burial will be in Stout Cemetery, Springfield. Nancy Enrietto will be the organist, and pallbearers will be Diana Lewis, Debra, Mark and Joe Moughan, Ronald and Steven Williams, Douglas Turner and William Hagerman. Agnes was born Feb. 3, 1908, in Des Arc, Mo., the daughter of John and Helen Henkle Lard. She was employed as a waitress in various restaurants, including Jack Robinson, Thrifty Drug and The Martinway in Springfield. During World War II, she worked at Allis-Chalmers. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Auburn. She was an avid bowler and baby-sat in her home. She married Alfred H. Miller on Oct. 8, 1927, in Springfield. He preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1971.
Surviving are her son, Alfred H. Miller Jr. of Gulf Shores, Ala.; stepson, Leo (Penny) Miller of Virden; daughters, Helen J. Moughan of Chatham; Donna M. (Robert) Williams of Auburn; Roberta A. (Billie) Brown of Decatur; sister, Marjorie Feeny of Griffith, Ind.; 20 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Ernest and George Lard; sisters, Genieva Jones and Alice Walutkevicz; grandson, Michael Moughan; and stepgrandson, Ricky Miller.

MOWEAQUA -- Frances Negray Rufty, 76, of Moweaqua died 11:45 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) in St. Mary's Hospital.
Services will be noon Saturday in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials: Moweaqua Ambulance Service.
Frances was born Jan. 24, 1926, in Moweaqua, the daughter of Michael John and Elaine Nellie Supina Negray. She retired from Illinois Power Co. after 44 1/2 years in the accounts receivable department. She married William T. Rufty on Sept. 21, 1963, in Macon. He preceded her in death March 6, 1999.
Surviving are her sister, Helen Bingaman of Moweaqua; nephews, John E. Potsick and wife Joan of Carman; Gary Rufty and wife Dee of Moweaqua; great-nieces, Pam and husband Ralph Martin of Carman; Cheryl and husband Tom Gearhart of Raritan; several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Ruth was born March 30, 1932, in Decatur, the daughter of John and Margaret Albers Barnes. She was employed for several years as a bartender/waitress for Elmers Tavern. She married Charles L. Hauck on Aug. 31, 1984, in Decatur.

Lockmiller
DECATUR -- Raymond Lockmiller, 96, of Decatur died 8:40 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 23, 2003) in Moweaqua Nursing and Retirement Center.
Private services will be in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Decatur Macon County Animal Shelter, for all the animals that he loved so much.
Mr. Lockmiller was born Sept. 10, 1906, in McLeansboro, the son of Charles and Sarah Hinkle Lockmiller. He was a schoolteacher in a one-room schoolhouse in Bethany, Macon and Peru. He worked for Singer Sewing Machine Co. for 37 years and for Trans Continental Bolt Co. from 1974 to 1986. He married Elda Macklin on July 7, 1928, in Locust Grove Church.
Surviving are his sons, Richard Lockmiller and wife Norma of Decatur; Marvin E. Lockmiller and wife June of Monticello; David G. Lockmiller of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Sandy L. Cole and husband Bart of Decatur; grandsons, Rick Lockmiller and wife Lisa; Mark Lockmiller and wife Cindy; John Lockmiller and wife Nancy; Paul Lockmiller and wife Judy; Marty Lockmiller and wife Sonya; Jared Cole; Tanner Cole; granddaughters, Julie Lockmiller, Jill Houser and husband Mark and Joy Bott and husband Kirk; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Amanda Blythe; Doug, Ellen and Mary Houser; Laura, Amy, Andy and Stephanie Bott; Rachael, Josh, Tess, Emily, Amy, Andrew, Sarah, Emma and Annie Lockmiller.
He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Wanda Lee; beloved granddaughter, Jennifer Lockmiller; parents; five brothers and two sisters.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Remember him for loving to wear his caps, his love for beagles, Juicy Fruit gum and the Chicago Cubs.
