PANA -- Lola Margaret Hubbartt, 89, of Pana, formerly of Findlay, died 9:49 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003) in Shelbyville Manor.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with the Rev. John Hippard officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Hubbartt Cemetery, Beecher City. Memorials: First Baptist Church Christian Academy,Rosamond.
Mrs. Hubbartt was born Sept. 25, 1913, in Beecher City, the daughter of William and Bertha Laue Huffer. She was a member of First Christian Church of Pana and a former member of First Baptist Church of Shelbyville, where she was baptized. She married Ira George Hubbartt on Feb. 1, 1932, in Taylorville. He preceded her in death March 16, 1984.
Surviving are her sons, Richard Hubbartt and wife Marie of Findlay; Morris Hubbartt and wife Luella of Pana; Bob Hubbartt and wife Rita of Shelbyville; daughter, Mayme Matlock and husband Verne of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Don Hubbartt and wife Glenda of Westervelt; George Hubbartt and wife Brenda; Kathy Buerk and husband Robert and Morris Hubbartt Jr. and wife Lisa, all of Pana; Debbie Carr and husband Mike and Robin Bear and husband Mike, all of Findlay; Bill Hubbartt and wife Laurie of Shelbyville; Bradley Matlock and wife Mona of Shelbyville; Beverly Harlow of Findlay; Jerry Matlock, James Matlock and wife Christine, Terry Matlock and Greg Matlock, all of Shelbyville; stepgrandchildren, Mike Allen and wife Bobbie and Brian Allen and wife Shannon, all of Shelbyville; Mark Allen of Nashville, Tenn.; Brad Allen of St. Louis, Mo.; Rick Allen of Arthur; 25 great-grandchildren, nine great-stepgrandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Storm
WINDSOR -- Velma Marie Storm, 89, of Windsor died Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003) in St. John's Mercy Hospital, Washington, Mo.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Windsor Christian Church. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor, and an hour before services Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Memorials: Alzheimer's Foundation, Windsor Christian Church or donor's choice.
Velma was born Jan. 6, 1914, in Raymond, the daughter of William Jasper Bethard and Lydia May "Mamie" Boatwright Bethard. She attended Lincoln College and began her teaching career instructing students from grades one through eight in a one-room schoolhouse near Vernon. During that time, she met her future husband George J. Meador and they were married on Nov. 23, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa. They were blessed with two children, Ardis Louise (who died at childbirth) and David Joel. George preceded her in death. She married C. Dean Storm of Windsor on Dec. 23, 1959, and after completing her degree in education at Greenville College, taught elementary classes in both Sullivan and Windsor school districts. After retiring in 1976, Mrs. Storm continued to fill in as a substitute teacher and often tutored private reading classes for adult students.
Mrs. Storm was an active member of Windsor Christian Church, Shelby County Home Extension, Illinois Retired Teachers Association and Daughters of the American Revolution. She often did volunteer work with other church members in area nursing homes in Sullivan, Shelbyville and Neoga. She loved growing flowers, house plants and spent a good deal of her spare time researching her family's genealogy.
Surviving are her son, David (Deborah) Meador of Washington, Mo.; grandsons, David Joel Jr., Stephen Lawrence Meador and William Curtis Meador, all of Washington, Mo.; brother, Bruce (Hazel) Bethard of Everett, Wash.; stepson, F. Dwight (Cindy) Storm of Littleton, Colo.; stepgrandchildren, Jeff Storm of Littleton; Brad Storm of Fort Worth, Texas; Christine Perry of Springfield; Phillip Storm of Marshall, Ind.; Gary Storm of Gibson City; Ronald Storm of Asheville, N.C.; several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in deathby her parents; first husband; second husband; daughter; stepson, Kenneth Storm.

Warters
TUSCOLA -- Naomi G. Warters, 79, of Tuscola died 6:50 p.m Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003) in the Arthur Home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Tuscola United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Clyde Snyder officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Hilligoss-Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola. Burial will be in Tuscola Cemetery. Memorials: Tuscola United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Warters was born March 29, 1923, in Tuscola, the daughter of Claude and Hazel Kinney Sterling. She was a homemaker. She graduated from Tuscola High School in 1941. She was a member of Tuscola United Methodist Church. She was a member and served as the first president of Douglas County Republican Women. Her hobbies included knitting and raising flowers. She married Clarence E. Warters on Dec. 19, 1943, in Tuscola. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 1981.
Surviving are her son, Steve (Carolyn) Warters of Tuscola; grandchildren, Doug Warters of Champaign; Amy Warters of Tuscola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Warters; brother, Melvin Sterling.

OLD RIPLEY -- Milton "Bud" Zeller, 80, Old Ripley, died Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003).

DECATUR -- Donna Louise Akers, 62, of Decatur died 12:45 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 19, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Donna was born June 26, 1940, in Decatur, the daughter of Willard and Ruth Nelson Rucker Sr. She was a homemaker and affiliated with Parkway Church of the Nazarene. She married William Akers in November 1963.
Surviving are her husband of Mode; sons, William Lee Akers Jr. and Donald E. Akers, both of Decatur; daughters, Penny Stiles and husband Phillip of Bradley; Mary Akers of Decatur; Ruth Martin and husband Tom of Florida; brother, Willard Rucker Jr. and wife Dixie of Decatur; sister, Grace Floyd and husband Stephen of Decatur; six grandchildren; cousins, Ruth and Ron Covey and John and Carol Bunton, all of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Delmar Rucker; and cousin, William Bunton.

DECATUR -- Emma Mae Ater, 85, of Decatur died 2:45 a.m. Monday, (Jan. 20, 2003) in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Ater-Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound. Memorials: First Christian Church, Blue Mound or Fair Havens Christian Home.
Mrs. Ater was born May 8, 1917, in Blue Mound, the daughter of William and Mary O'Bryan Clements. She was retired from St. Mary's Hospital and a member of First Christian Church. She married Leland J. Ater on Dec. 4, 1937, in Rockville, Ind. He preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1984.
Surviving are her daughter, Shirley Trolia and husband Marty of Decatur; sons, Michael Ater of Decatur; Richard Ater and wife Marilyn of Sallisaw, Okla.; sister, Wilma Beatty of Decatur; grandchildren, Jeffery Trolia and wife Kim of Mahomet; Jody Dawson and husband Tony of Warrensburg; Rodney Ater and wife Linda of S helbyville; John Ater and wife Kelly of Manchester, Tenn.; Jackie Nash and husband Brad of Sallisaw, Okla.; nine
