Rae M. Hague
Rae M. Hague, 84, a resident of Longwood, Fla. and former resident of Lake Forest, died Oct. 12 in Apopka, Fla.
Mrs. Hague was born Nov. 29, 1918 in Morgantown, W. Va, daughter of the late Lee R. and Mary M. Taylor.
She attended Morgantown High School and West Virginia University.
Mrs. Hague was active in volunteer activities and, in 1975, chaired the Lake Forest Academy Antiques Show.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Pribus of Apopka, Fla. ; her son, Gregg R. Hague of Winnetka; five grandchildren, including Courtney, Connor and Will Hague of Winnetka; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dorothy (Jeryl) Taylor Root of Morgantown, W. Va.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lou R. Hague; and three brothers, Denver Taylor, Junior Russell Taylor and Harry C. Taylor.
Services were held on Oct. 22 at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

Edwin Affron Kartman
Edwin Affron Kartman, 68, died Saturday, Nov. 8 in San Leandro, Calif.
Mr. Kartman was born June 3, 1935 in Chicago to Leah and Ben Kartman.
A graduate of New Trier High School and Cornell University, Mr. Kartman continued his education at Medill School of Journalism, Starr King Center for Religious Leadership, and San Jose State University.
In high school, Mr. Kartman was a member of the Chicago Youth Symphony and later played the French horn in several Bay Area community groups in California, including the Holy Names College Orchestra, Kensington Symphony, Oakland Civic Orchestra, The Oakland Philharmonia, Ohlone College Symphony and the Castro Valley Adult School Chamber Orchestra.
Mr. Kartman's worked in public relations with the Chicago firm of Daniel J. Edelman & Associates, and later in politics as the campaign manager of "Tyler Thompson for Congress, Democrat, Illinois" in 1960.
During the 1960s, he was active in the civil rights movement, participating in voter registration work in the South, with "Freedom Summer. " He was active in the anti-war movements of the 1960s, 1970s and the present.
In 1989, Mr. Kartman pursued an advanced degree in library science at San Jose State University. He was a reference librarian in many Bay Area communities and most recently was employed at the San Francisco Public Library, in the music and art department.
Survivors include his wife Elissa Kartman, his son, Adam Kartman; his daughter, Carrie Kartman; his grandchildren, Kate, Martina, Ben, Christopher and Caleb; extended family members, Susan, Joseph, Sarah, Eugene and Gerald; and four cats.
He is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Keith Harris.

Marcia Thompson Leekley
Marcia Thompson Leekley, 66, a longtime resident of Kenilworth and Wilmette, died Friday, Nov. 28, in Ft. Myers, Fla. of cancer. At the time, she was on vacation at her home in Captiva, Fla. with her entire family who were all down visiting with her.
Mrs. Leekley was born Nov. 20, 1937 in Denver, Colo. She graduated from Evanston High School in 1955 and from the University of Michigan in 1959.
She was very active in real estate on the North Shore for more than 25 years having worked for Koenig & Strey and Baird & Warner.
Survivors include her son, Richard H. (Amy) Thompson of Green Bay, Wis. ; her daughter, Kristen T. (Bruce) Daley of Denver, Colo. ; five grandchildren, Richard, Jennifer, William, James and Brooke; her stepchildren Philip Leekley, Jr. of Chicago and Gina (Shawn) McCarthy and their daughter, Shannon, of Valencia, CA; and her sister, Phyllis B. Slife of Provo, Utah.
She was predeceased by her husband, Philip A. Leekley.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p. m. on Thursday, Dec. 11 at the Kenilworth Union Church, 211 Kenilworth Ave. , in Kenilworth.

Katherine L. Rosemann
Katherine L. Rosemann died Friday, Nov. 28 at her Wauconda home surrounded by her family. Visitation was Monday, Dec. 1. A private cremation is being arranged.
Ms. Rosemann worked as a reporter for Pioneer Press Newspapers for nearly 32 years, spending much of her tenure working in the Lake County office. In 1987, Ms. Rosemann and a team of reporters and editors won the prestigious Peter Lisagor Award for a series of articles on attorney registration and disciplinary commission in the wake of Operation Greylord, an investigation on a corrupt judicial system.
After retiring from Pioneer Press in 1998, Ms. Rosemann spent time with her family and riding horses.
Ms. Rosemann was born in Evanston Sept. 12, 1934. She grew up in Wilmette and Winnetka.
Survivors include two sons, J. Gomer (Torph) Roseman and Rob (Lynn) Rosemann of Union; three daughters, Maudeen (Jim) Meyer of Bristol, Wis. , Peggy Selfridge of Wauconda and Becky (Gus) Interial of Galva; a brother, Joe (Connie) Golden of Scotts Valley, Calif. ; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Steven W. Bradford
Funeral services for Steven W. Bradford, 37, of Carpentersville, will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee.
Born in Redwood City, Calif. on Sept. 22, 1960,the son of David and Ersel Bradford of Bolingbrook, Mr. Bradford died Sunday, Oct. 19, 1997, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Burial will be private.
A very accomplished artist and musician, he was a 12-year employee of Northrop-Grumman in Rolling Meadows, and a member of the Joseph Campbell Society.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Penny B. (nee Schwartz) Bradford, whom he married May 20, 1979; his three daughters, Elizabeth, Emily, and Eva, all athome; his parents; a sister, Joan of Bolingbrook; and his paternal grandfather, Walter (Bertha) Bradford of Birch Tree, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother.
Visitation will be from5 to 8 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Adele Kuechenberg DeRosier
Services for Adele Kuechenberg DeRosier, 87, of Palatine, will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Born May 30, 1910, in Chicago, she died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997, at Northwest Community Hospital.
Burial will be private.
A school crossing guard for the City of Chicago, she was the mother of Robert (Anita) Kuechenberg, Michael Kueschenberg and Nancy von Helms; sister of Walter (Martha) Kuhlen; and grandmother of Kurt and Eric von Helms and Elaina and Robert Kuechenberg.

Alice Forrest
Services and interment for Alice Forrest (nee Jacobson), 87, a longtime resident of New Iberia, La. , will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, at Wheaton Cemetery, Wheaton.
Mrs. Forrest died Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997, at a New Iberia nursing home.
A native of St. Paul, Minn., Alice known to her friends as `Jakie' was active in numerous community projects. She will be remembered by many for her volunteer work in fund raising for charities and as a supporter of Shadows on the Teche.
She was a member of the Acorn Gardens Club and Friends of the Shadows.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, L. Albert `Bud' Forrest and Adele Simon Forrest of New Iberia; and granddaughters, Lizabeth Forrest Clarke MD of New Orleans and Laura Adele Forrest of Baton Rouge.
She was precededin death by her husband, L. Albert `Bert' Forrest; parents, Maurice Dewitt and Mabel Annette Shaver Jacobson; and grandson, Lawrence Albert `Larry' Forrest.

Joan M. Hardin

She participated in charitable events for Resurrection Hospital Monarch Ball and Chicago Boy's Club and was a board member and director of the Chicago Women's District Golf Association.

Maude M. Hawks
Memorial services for Maude M. Hawks, 92, of Plymouth Place, LaGrange Park, will be held at2 p. m. Thursday, at Dole Hall in Plymouth Place, 315 N. LaGrange Rd., LaGrange Park. She died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1997.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Nellie Patterson and Theron Butler Hawks, and the loving sister of the late Ruth Evangeline and Theron Hawks. A 23-year volunteer for Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, she had retired as an executive secretary of the Chicago office of Standard Railway and Equipment Co., later Stanray Corp.

A real estate broker for more than 25 years, she was employed by ReMax Suburban of Mount Prospect. She was the past president of Northwest Suburban Chapter of Womens Council of Realtors (WCR). She was past president and director of Northwest Suburban Association of Realtors. She was director of United Way of Des Plaines, member of Rotary Club of Des Plaines, and past president of American Association of University Women-Northwest Suburban Branch.
