Cora B. Carlisle-Anderson of Batavia
Services for Cora B. Carlisle-Anderson, 95, will be held at 11a. m. Tuesday, at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, where visitation will take place from 10 a. m. until the time of services. The Rev. Michael S. Stoner and the Rev. Rolla Swanson will officiate.
Born June 26, 1903, in Alvin, Ill., to Charley and Fannie (nee Bever) Mitman, she passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Provena Pine View Care Center, St. Charles. Interment will be in West Batavia Cemetery.
Cora was raised in Hillsboro, Ind. As a young woman she moved to Batavia to study nursing at the former Bellevue Place, and there she met her future husband, Dewey Carlisle. Together they owned and operated for 25 years the former Carlisle Restaurant, located on the corner of Carlisle Road and Route 31 in Batavia. She later worked for the former Campana Corporation and the former Shuman Label Company in Batavia.
Cora devoted her life to her family, friends and neighbors. She always enjoyed spending special times with children and her pet dogs, traveling, collecting rocks, gardening, and shopping. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Batavia.
She is survived by her daughter, Gene (Don)Borman of Geneva; grandson, James C. (Diana) Borman of Batavia; and great-grandchildren, Patricia Anne Borman and James P. Borman, both of Batavia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey Carlisle, in 1966; her second husband, Carl Anderson, in 1980; sisters, Pearl and Caroline; and brothers, Frank and Mac.

Harold Comm
Services for Harold Comm, 83, will be held at noon Tuesday, at Shalom Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
He was the beloved husband of Clara (nee Statland); devoted father of Robert Comm, Ronald (Kathi) Comm and Eve (Frank) Celender; loving grandfather of Julie (Bob) Dubicz, Jeffrey (Kimberley) Bilotich, and Jennifer, Christina and Bradley Comm; and dear great-grandfather of Robin, Jilland Amanda Dubicz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4709 Golf Road, Suite 1015, Skokie,IL 60076.

Harold E. Foster, 85, of Schaumburg, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999. Arrangements were made by Grove Memorial Chapel, Elk Grove Village, (847) 640-0566.

Grace F. Gates of Naperville
A memorial service for Grace F. Gates, 89, will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, at the Grace United Methodist Church, 300 E. Gartner Rd., Naperville. Rev. Paul Whittle will officiate.
Born Dec. 7, 1909, she died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Manorcare Health Services in Naperville. Interment will be private.
A lifelong resident of Naperville, Mrs. Gates did clerical work for Koehler Manufacturing Company, the Favor Ruhl Company in Chicago and worked for 16 years at the Naperville National Bank. She had been a life member of the Grace United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for more than 25 years. She was also a lifetime member of the Naperville Art League.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy MacLeod of San Antonio, Texas and Carol Szymanski of Des Plaines; sisters, Eunice Jacobsen of Seminole, Fla., and Roberta (Everett M. D. ) Schaeffer of Berea, Ky.; one grandson; five granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Minnie (nee Fey) Fry; husband, Sanford Gates in 1975; brothers, Arthur, Robert and Clinton Fry; and sons-in-law, Robert MacLeod and Richard Szymanski.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p. m. until the time of services Sunday, Jan. 17, at the church.

Helen M. Gibbs of Libertyville
Services for Helen M. Gibbs, 80, of Libertyville, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday, at BurnettDane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville, and continue with a funeral Mass at 10 a. m., at St. Joseph Church.
Born Nov. 24, 1918, in Racine, Wis., she passed away suddenly, Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Interment will be in Charleston, W. Va.
Mrs. Gibbs was raised in the Union Grove, Wis. area and was a resident of Libertyville for the past 31 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish and the Guild of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Libertyville, and was a former volunteer at Condell Medical Center. Before her retirement, Mrs. Gibbs was employed at Lake Forest Bank for 27 years.
Surviving are her husband, John P. Gibbs of Libertyville; daughter, Jacqueline (Augusto) Portillo of Charleston; grandchildren, Kristen, Danielle and Holly Portillo, all of Charleston; and great-grandchildren, Sierra and Gabrielle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mamie Seidel.
Friends of the family may call from 5 to 8 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Robert W. Hampton
Funeral services for Robert W. Hampton, 67, of Grayslake, will be held at 4 p. m. Wednesday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights.
Born April 15, 1931, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan.
Mr. Hampton was a partner with Witt Associates in Oak Brook, retiring in 1986. He graduated from the University of Indiana in 1955 with a bachelor's degree. He was a member of the Glenridge and Northbrook Gun Club and the Glenview Masonic Lodge #1058 AF & AM.
Survivors include his wife, Sandie; daughter, Karen (Thor) Madsen of Palatine; grandchildren, Christine and Kate; and brother, Jack (Negia) Hampton of Lansing.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Hugo V. Henderson of Bensenville
Services for Hugo V. Henderson, 87, will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, at First United Methodist Church, 9857 Schiller Blvd., Franklin Park. He will lie in state from 1 p. m. until the time of service.
Interment will be in Glen Oak Cemetery.
He was the beloved husband of the late Marion (nee McDonough) for 64 years and current dear husband of Myrtle (nee Gatz); loving father of Mary Ann (Duane) Nelson, Theresa (Don) Garrett and Gerald (the late Shirley) Henderson; dearest grandfather of eight; and great-grandfather of 17.

Arthur Howerton of Wood Dale
Services for Arthur Howerton, 72, will be held at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday, at Geils Funeral Home, 260 W. Irving Park Road, Wood Dale.
Born March 24, 1926, he died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mr. Howerton was a foreman for Illinois Bell for 36 years. He was a member of Hesperia Lodge #411 of Chicago.
He was the father of Roberta (Jerry) Maziar, Carol (Skip) Lee, Mary Ellen (George) Bussey; and grandfather of Monica, Julie, Erika, Chris and Michael.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

John A. Koziol of Schaumburg
A funeral Mass for John A. Koziol, 50, will be celebrated at 11 a. m. Wednesday, at St. Matthew Church, 1001 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg, where he will lie in state from 9 to 11 a. m.
Born Oct. 7, 1948, in Chicago, he died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Schaumburg.
Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Mr. Koziol was a deacon at St. Matthew Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Koziol (nee Shine); son, Matt Koziol; daughter, Liz Koziol, and brothers and sister, Nancy (Jim) Barnes, Stanley (Beth) Koziol and Jim (Karen) Koziol.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road (1/2 mile west of Roselle Road), Schaumburg.

Kortni Lynn Larkin of Streamwood
A private funeral Mass for Kortni Lynn Larkin, infant, will be held at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday, at St. John the Evangelist Church, Park Blvd. at Parkside Circle, Streamwood.
She was born Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, and died suddenly. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
She was the daughterof Lisa (nee Gurney) and Ralph Larkin Jr.; sister of Karlee; granddaughter of Helena and the late Ralph Larkin Sr. and Virginia and James Gurney; and loving niece and cousin of many.
Visitation will be from 8 to 8:45 a. m. Tuesday, at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.), Streamwood/Schaumburg.

Edward J. McKeown of Glen Ellyn for 34 years
Funeral Mass for Edward J. McKeown, 60, will be celebrated at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday, at St. Petronille Church, 420 Glenwood Ave., Glen Ellyn, with the Rev. Gerald J. Simonelli officiating.
Born Dec. 15, 1938, in Chicago, he died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Interment will be private.
Mr. McKeown was the president of Ed McKeown and Associates, Inc., of Glen Ellyn. He had graduated from Mt. Carmel High School, Chicago, in 1956, and from Notre Dame University in 1960. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Petronille Council, the Glen Ellyn Rotary Club and the Glen Oaks Country Club. Mr. McKeown was a former board member of the Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, and former owner dealer of Ed McKeown Chevrolet in Glen Ellyn, and past president of the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn McKeown (nee Mayworm); children, Tim (Eve) McKeown of Glen Ellyn, Terry (Elizabeth) McKeown of Naperville, Nancy (Chris) Norem of Oak Park and David McKeown of Glen Ellyn; sisters, Mary (Joseph) Zinkann of Asbury, N. J. and Ruth Anne McKeown of New York City, N. Y.; and grandchildren, Thomas, John Patrick, Ryan and Grace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward P. and Blanche M. McKeown.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. today, at Leonard Memorial Home, Ltd., 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn.
