BEMENT -- Larry Rainey, 66, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Bement, died April 22, 2001, in his home.
Services were April 26 in Mesa, with burial in City of Mesa Cemetery. Tempe Mortuary, Tempe, Ariz., handled arrangements.
Mr. Rainey was born July 28, 1934, in Decatur, the son of Lynn and Elizabeth Dobson Rainey. He was formerly associated with Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Homes in Decatur and Argenta. He married Carolyn Gayer in September 1956. She preceded him in death in April 1997.
Surviving are his daughter, Jill (David) Porter of Mesa; sons, Kevin (Nylene) of Gilbert, Ariz.; Craig of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Betty (David) Youngberg of Andover; stepmother, Charlotte Rainey of Bement; 13 grandchildren.

DECATUR -- Robert William Bonds I, 79, of Decatur died 12:37 p.m. Sunday (May 6, 2001) in Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Mount Zion.

Mr. Bonds was born July 29, 1921, in Mount Zion, the son of Granver Ray and Goldie Mae Denson Bonds. He was a retired mechanic from Ecoff Trucking Co. in Tuscola. He was a World War II
Army veteran and a member of VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge and Masonic Lodge. He married Edith Ione Brandenburg Jan. 28, 1940.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Sharon Heger and husband Michael and Karen "Sue" Betzer and husband Lynn, all of Decatur; son, Robert W. "Poke" Bonds II of Decatur; sister, Dorothy Roderick and husband Leonard of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren, Cristy McEldowney and husband Randy; J Betzer; Kendra Mattison and husband Drew; Michael Heger II and fiancee Margaret Gerharz; Robert W. Bonds III and wife Dee-Ann; Amanda S. Bonds and fiance Ron Giglio; seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Greanias
DECATUR -- Mary Anne Greanias, 77, of Decatur died Sunday (May 6, 2001) in her home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes with a 7 p.m. Trisaghion service. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Greanias was born April 11, 1924, in Mattoon, the daughter of Clifford and Beryl Scott Hampson. She was most recently employed as a secretary for Sam Chihade & Associates Insurance Agency. She was formerly employed by the Salvation
Army for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Greanias owned and operated the Lincoln Square Cafe and the Lincoln Cafe for many years. Mrs. Greanias was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, where she was a member of St. Catherine's Philoptochos Society. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority at Millikin University and a volunteer for Decatur Memorial Hospital. She married Nicholas G. Greanias Nov. 18, 1945. He preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1986.
Surviving are her children, Chris A. Greanias and wife Sandy of North Chicago; George H. Greanias and wife Linda of Grosse Pointe, Mich.; Georganna "Janna" Greanias of Ottawa; Anthony C. Greanias and wife Cindy of Saginaw, Mich.; grandchildren, Angela Howe, Rachel Hird, Becky Haney, Nicole Haney and Nicholas, Carolea and Olivia Greanias; great-grandchildren, Logan Hird and Laney Howe; brothers, Jack Hampson and wife Carol of Warren, Pa.; Gene W. Hampson and wife Zula of Gays.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nicholas, and son, Nicholas Greanias Jr.

DECATUR -- Roberta T. Mohn Bethel, 92, Cairo, formerly of Decatur, died Wednesday (May 2, 2001).

Burket
BLUE MOUND -- Carolyn M. "Nan" Burket, 70, of Dawson, formerly of Blue Mound, died noon Thursday (May 3, 2001) in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, from a stroke.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in her home.
Nan was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Stewart and Elizabeth King McMillen. She was an animal lover and was active in and past president of the Sussex Spaniel Society. She was a member of the Coton de Tuleur Rescue Society and owner of a beloved Coton dog. She was a charter member of Al Khamsa Inc. and the Davenport Conservancy, organizations dedicated to the preservation of certain strains of Arabian horses. She married Richard E. Burket Feb. 22, 1951, in Florida. They divorced in 1979.
Surviving are her daughters, Leslie Burket of Alexandria, Va.; Buffie Burket of Monticello; Lynn Burket (Mike Murphy) of Decatur; sister, Dell Sanford (Allen) of Mansfield, Ohio; brother, Stewart McMillen (Mimi) of Kerrville, Texas; four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Sylvia Jo Schleuter in March and her parents.
Nan will be missed by her family and many devoted friends.
