Garrison
BLUE MOUND -- James L. Garrison, 73, of Blue Mound passed away 7:09 p.m. Tuesday (May 1, 2001) in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Ater-Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Hospital Hospice Program, 800 E.
Carpenter St., Springfield, IL 62769, or Blue Mound United Methodist Church.
He was born Jan. 16, 1928, in Decatur, the son of William "Shorty" and Dorothy Doolin Garrison. He served in the Coast Guard, then joined the Naval Reserves. He served in the
Korean War aboard the USS Asthabula. He worked at the Signal Depot in Decatur and farmed in the Blue Mound area for several years. He owned Tayco Enterprises, constructing grain bins and steel buildings. He also drove a semi truck for many years. Up until the time of his illness, he was a training instructor
for CJ's Driver Training Center. He was a member of Blue Mound United Methodist Church, Blue Mound Lodge 682 and ZUE Vandeveer Post 257 American Legion. He married Mary Buzan Aug. 2, 1947, and they shared almost 54 years of marriage.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife; daughters, Sue Sperry and son-in-law, Paul of Lenexa, Kan.; Jan Doty and son-in-law, Larry of Blue Mound; Julie Ward and son-in-law, Matt of Decatur; grandchildren, Scot Sperry and wife Anna of
Chicago; Ryan Sperry and wife Stacey of Olathe, Kan.; Todd Sperry of Denver, Colo.; Krista Sperry of Manhattan, Kan.; Alicia Ward of Normal; Aaron Ward of Decatur; Derrick Doty and Drew Doty, both of Blue Mound; mother of Stockton, Calif.; brother, David Garrison of Fremont, Calif.; sister, Karen Ireland of Carlsbad, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father, William "Shorty" Garrison.
The family would like to give special thanks to Pastor Dennis Brooks and to all the caring people from St. John's Hospice Service, especially Sharon Dunbar. Your many hugs and shows of concern have been a blessing to our family. Daddy
was a loving husband and father and was always thinking of others before himself.
Kellam
DECATUR -- Pamela S. Kellam, 47, of Decatur died 5:35 a.m. Wednesday (May 2, 2001) in Aspen Ridge.
There will be no public services. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Kellam was born June 5, 1953, in Fort Hood, Texas, the daughter of James Burge and Hazel F. Gentry Burge McDaniel. She was a homemaker. She was a member of PTA. She married Robert D. Kellam in 1978.
Surviving are her former husband, Robert of Decatur; daughters, Nicola Lea Kellam of Decatur; Renee J. Hunt and husband Terry of Decatur; sisters, Elizabeth Moore of Greenville, S.C.; Linda Norton and husband Michael of Decatur; Jean Rine and husband Charles of Hundred, W.Va.; brother, James Burge Jr. and wife Glara of Greenville, S.C.; stepbrother, Larry McDaniel and wife Tina of Decatur; grandson, Alex Hunt of Decatur; stepgranddaughter, Ashly Hunt of Decatur; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepbrother, Kevin McDaniel.

DECATUR -- Ray Anthony Neal, 24, of Decatur died Sunday (April 29, 2001) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be noon Saturday in the Church of the Living God with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Walker Funeral Service and Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Ray was born Oct. 6, 1976, in Decatur, the son of Betty Jean Neal and Rachel Gene Murrell. He enjoyed sports, particularly basketball and was a musician and a gifted lyricist. His dream was to become a music producer.
He leaves not to mourn but to cherish his fond memories, daughters, Rayaunna Aurelia Pierre Neal and Misty Victoria Grayned, both of Decatur; Ahmari Pugh of Tennessee; son, Ray Anthony Neal Jr. of Decatur; father, Rachel Gene (Julie)

Roarick
DECATUR -- Henry W. Roarick, 84, of Decatur was born Nov. 17, 1910. He passed away Aug. 16, 1995. Alberta E. Melhorn Roarick, 86, of Decatur was born Oct. 31, 1914. She passed away Feb. 5, 2001.
Graveside memorial services for Mr. and Mrs. Roarick will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown.
They are both greatly missed.
Robinson
DECATUR -- Blair L. Robinson, 65, of Decatur died Monday (April 30, 2001) in St. Mary's Hospital.
Homegoing services will be noon Saturday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Stuart officiating. Visitation will be two hours before services. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery

Mr. Robinson was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Murphysboro, the son of Ezell and Addie Robinson. He was a faithful member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a trustee and deacon and was in the male chorus. He was an employee at
Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. for 33 years as an inspector. He was a licensed barber and employed at Robinson's Barber Shop for 30 years. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1953 and enlisted in the Navy. He united in holy matrimony to Earnette
Vaughn Oct. 24, 1960.

Reinhart
DECATUR -- Margaret E. Lacey Reinhart, 85, of Decatur died 5:25 a.m. Tuesday (May 1, 2001) in Manor Care Nursing Home.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Thomas Catholic Church. Visitation will be 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home with 7 p.m. rosary service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Thomas.
Margaret was born July 19, 1915, in Decatur, the daughter of Jeremiah and Deniese Ireland Lacey. She attended St. Teresa Academy and high school, graduating in 1933. She was employed by the state of Illinois, public aid office, and later was the secretary at both St. Patrick Catholic Church and St. Thomas Catholic Church in Decatur. She had been a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church for more than 75 years and before that a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Margaret married Leo C. Reinhart Aug. 24, 1940, in Decatur.
Surviving are her daughter, Denise Mennel and husband Gene of Decatur; grandson, Eric Mennel of Chicago; granddaughter, Julia Cheatham and husband Doyle of Decatur; Peggy Mennel of Decatur; great-grandson, Benjamin Cheatham of Decatur; nephew, Dennis Reinhart and wife Sue of Decatur; lifelong friend, Lucille Littrell of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Margaret's family, friends and church were very important in her life. She loved everyone and they, in turn, loved her. We'll miss you, GaGa, and will love you always.

DECATUR -- Mary Inez Seybert, 89, Bloomingdale, formerly of Decatur, pharmacy technician, died Friday (April 27, 2001).

Stahlheber
DECAUTR -- Rudolph B. "Rudy" Stahlheber, 66, of Decatur died 9:06 p.m. Monday (April 30, 2001) in St. Mary's Hospital.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Decatur or American Cancer Society.
Rudy was born May 15, 1934, in Pinckneyville, the son of Rudolph J. and Alice Ogilvie Stahlheber. Rudy spent 39 years in education. The last 23 years he was the director of counseling at Richland Community College before he retired in April 1995. A 1952 graduate of Pinckneyville High School, he went on to receive a bachelor's degree in education in 1956. He then received a master's degree in education in 1959 and a specialist in guidance in 1963, all from SIU Carbondale. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, where he was a past president. He married Roberta Needham in 1956, in Pickneyville.
Surviving are his wife; son, Brent Stahlheber and wife Brigitte of Wadsworth; daughter, Jeanne Stahlheber of Decatur; mother, Alice Stahlheber of Springfield; sisters, Oma Burris and husband Bill of Springfield; Diana Borger and family of Carbondale.
He was preceded in death by his father.
