She was a farm wife and had owned and operated a grocery and general merchandise store.
Surviving are her husband, J.T.; a daughter, Brenda Pyle; a son, Larry; a sister, Ruth Knight; and three grandchildren.

Edward Hannel
BRIDGEPORT - Edward Hannel, 95, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at Lawrence Community Healthcare.
He had been a farmer and worked for the Ohio Oil Co.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris Gosnell; and nine grandchildren.
Graveside services 11 a.m. Thursday in Sumner City Cemetery. There will be no visitation at Cunningham Funeral Home.

BROWNS - Jean (Lankford) LaVange Nelson, 76, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2002, at her residence.
Surviving are three daughters, Diana Outlaw, Donna Peter and Audrey Christian; a brother, Robert Lankford; and four grandchildren.

He owned and operated Gallatin County Painters.

ROSICLARE - Floyd Shetler, 95, of Indianapolis formerly of Rosiclare, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, in Indianapolis.
He was a carpenter.
Surviving are a daughter, Wilma Smith; a son, Robert; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, burial in the church cemetery.

McLEANSBORO - George "Slim" Vincent, 73, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at his home.
He was a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Bulah; four daughters, Wanda Moore, Geraldine Hutcheson, Brenda Robertson and Ronda Glenn; a son, Allen; six sisters, Jean Smith, Martha Asberry, Jackie Wells, Lenora Kemplen, Brenda Mueller and Linda Porter; and 10 grandchildren.

FAIRFIELD - Sharon Sue Young, 53, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at her home.
Surviving are her husband, Earl; a son, David; four sisters, June McCullough, Betty Webb, Judy Downer and Jennie Wylie; two brothers, Ed and Jack Williams; and five grandchildren.

She had been a supervisor at a sewing factory.

ROBINSON - Stanley J. "Sarge" Novakoski, 73, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at Crawford Memorial Hospital of an apparent ruptured ulcer.
He retired from the
Army and had been a dispatcher for the sheriff's department.
Surviving are three daughters, Stanetta J. Novakoski, Normella Moore and Dorena Beckerman; three sons, Stanley B. William and Anthony W. "Tony"; three sisters, Betty Schimmelbusch, Bernadine Davis and Theresa Gentile; two brothers, Bernard and William; and 16 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pulliam Funeral Home, burial in Kirk Cemetery.
