CAVE IN ROCK - Ida Verneta Colbert, 83, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Surviving are three sons, Clarence Donald Milligan, Alvin Bradford Colbert and Kevin Wayne Colbert; two daughters, Thelma Lorene Milligan and Brenda Joyce Ruch; two sisters, Vevith Hobbs and Velma "Dee" Dobbs; a brother, Howard Glenn Ozee; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Potters Church, burial in Ozee Cemetery.

Charles Craig
OBLONG - Charles O. Craig, 79, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at Valley Regional Hospital in Brownsville, Texas.
He retired in 1983 from the production department and was a heavy equipment operator at Marathon Oil Co.
Surviving are his wife, Frances; a son, Terry; a sister, Opal Houser; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a Masonic service at 7:45 p.m., at Pulliam Funeral.

McLEANSBORO - Joseph E. "Joe" Cross, 83, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital of complications of diabetes..
He was a general laborer.

HUTSONVILLE - Harvey Thomas Hoerr, 81, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson.
He retired from Corn Products Co. Surviving is a brother, Stanley.

SUMNER - Beatrice A. (Fornshell) Poland, 93, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Methodist Oaks Nursing Home in Orangeburg, S.C.

FLAT ROCK - Hazel (Duncan) Cawood, 95, of Vincennes, Ind., formerly of Flat Rock, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Gentle Care Nursing Center in Vincennes.
She had been a secretary in the Pike County trustee's office and Petersburgh (Ind.) High School principal's office.
Surviving are her daughter, Jamie Williams; two sons, Jim and David L.; a grandchild; and three stepgrandchildren.

He worked in emulsions for 46 years.

CARMI - Norwood F. "Woody" Proctor, 85, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at White County Medical Center.
He was deputy sheriff from 1954 to 1958 and sheriff from 1958 to 1962.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Genevieve; a daughter, Woodra Hamilton; two sons, Bill and John; a stepbrother, Paul Moore; and seven grandchildren.
