Vada Calder
ALBION - Vada Calder, 83, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at her home.
She had been an administrator for a nursing home and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Roger McKibben of St. Louis and Bruce McKibben of Albion; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Earl McKibben, in 1972, and Sam Calder, in 1996, and a son, Brian, in 1997.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nale's Funeral Home, with burial in Graceland Cemetery.

Pauline Moore
PALESTINE - Pauline (Miller) Moore, 81, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.
She was a member of the Palestine First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Charlotte Ann Miller of Teutopolis; a son, Roy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers, Clarence and Glen Miller, both of Palestine; six grandchildren, Jim, Paul, Mark, Chuck and Matthew Miller and Angela Garcia; and 12 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Charles C., died in 1992.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Goodwine Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Francis Shaw
ROBINSON - Francis Levi "Pappy" Shaw, 83, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center.
He retired from the Peabody Coal Co. after 42 years and had worked there as a miner, foreman, track layer, timberman and machine operator.
He was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples and the Elks. He had been president of the Dowell school board.
Surviving are his wife, Opal Irene (Wright); three sons, Gary Don of Kankakee, Jerry W. of Oblong and William E. "Bill" of Robinson; his sister, Genevieve Bullar of DeSoto; four grandchildren, Christine Beckman, Stacy and Brian Shaw and Autumn Burkett; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pulliam Funeral Home, with burial in Robinson New Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Frances McGhee
SHAWNEETOWN — Frances McGhee, 78, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Harrisburg Medical Center of apparent heart failure.
Surviving are three daughters, Ruth Barbre of Equality, Patty Blair of Shawneetown and Judy Holloway of Coulterville; two sisters, Edna Monroe of Shawneetown and Aline McGhee of Clinton; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar McGhee, in 1990; and a son, Paul Maynard.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cox & Son Funeral Home Shawneetown Chapel, with burial in Westwood Cemetery.

Dorothy Frye
ROBINSON — Dorothy J. (York) Frye, 94, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Crawford County Convalescent Center.
She retired from L.S. Heath & Sons and was one of the original "Heath girls" who dipped candy by hand.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, the Robinson Missionary Circle, the Guild Circle, the Ladies Aid Circle, the Pheobe Circle and the Ruth Matheny Sewing and Knitting Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Rhea Adams of Robinson; a sister, Myrtle Kinney of Mount Carmel, two grandchildren, Rhonda Moade and Roger Adams; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Frye, in 1988.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Goodwine Funeral Home Robinson Chapel, with burial in Robinson New Cemetery.

Methyl Anderson
ROBINSON — Methyl M. (Correll) Anderson, 93, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Crawford Memorial Hospital Extended Care Unit.
She was a 1928 graduate of Robinson Township High School.
She worked as an operator for Trimble Telephone, was a secretary for Lincoln Grade School and a financial secretary for First United Methodist Church of Robinson.
She was a member of Crawford County Republican Women, where she was a precinct committeewoman from 1963 to 1967, Crawford County Shrine Club Sweethearts, Robinson Women's Club and was a member and past president of the 20th Century Club.
Surviving are a son, Jon of Robinson; a grandson, Jay Harold Anderson; and a niece and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. "Eck" Anderson, in 1963.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Robinson New Cemetery.

Clye Gaddis
PALESTINE — Clye A. Gaddis, 93, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center.
She was the Palestine correspondent for the Robinson Daily News for more than 36 years.
She served on the Palestine Library Board, was a member and past president of the Palestine and Robinson Business and Professional Women and the Palestine Women's Club and was a member of the Bayview Club, LaMotte Township Firemen's Auxiliary, Modern Woodmen, Royal Neighbors and Palestine First Christian Church, where she was the organist and choir director and taught Sunday school for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Hayes of Tucson, Ariz., and Arlene Wilson of Heathsville; a son, Mervin of Jacksonville, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Lenard, Eric and Jeffrey Clements, Elisa Davis, Jay Wilson and Amy Jarman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace M. Gaddis, in 1993.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Goodwine Funeral Home Palestine Chapel, with burial in Palestine Cemetery.

Herman Hutcheson
MCLEANSBORO — Herman H. Hutcheson, 83, of Dale, Ill., formerly of McLeansboro, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.
He was a retired motor grader operator.
He was a two-time past master and current member of Masonic Tuscon Lodge 630 in Walpole and attended Dale Pentecostal and Dale Christian Churches.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Lucille (Lemay); a daughter, Luanna Prince Smith of McLeansboro; two sons, Roy of Raleigh and Ray of McLeansboro; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Billy.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gholson Funeral Home McLeansboro Chapel, with burial in Digby Hill Cemetery
in Dale.
