LAWRENCEVILLE - Goldie M. Prier, 91, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at Lawrenceville Manor.
He retired as owner and operator of the Lawrenceville Dairy Queen after 30 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Jane Hensley, June Dedrick, Pearl Goodrich and Vicki Jo Howe; a half sister, Maxine Weisner; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, with burial in Lawrenceville Cemetery.

GRAYVILLE - G. Ruth Risley, 80, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002.
Surviving are three daughters, Janice Mass, Sandra Mass and Tammie Sutphine; two sons, Jerry and Johnny; and four grandchildren.

Daniel Rudesill
LAWRENCEVILLE - Daniel Harrison Rudesill, 86, of Jackson, Tenn., formerly of Lawrenceville, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at his home.
He was a machinist for Texaco Refinery for 38 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel (Ervin); a daughter, Sally Risch; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, with burial in Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites.

Ruth Emmons
MOUNT CARMEL — Ruth I. (Tracy) Emmons, 95, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at Oakview Heights Nursing Home.
She worked at the Methodist Old Folks Home in Lawrenceville and became a partner in the Texaco and DX Service Stations and a Gambles Store in Mount Carmel.
Surviving are a daughter, Carole Saltsgaver; a son, Jack; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Short Funeral Home in Mount Carmel, with burial in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.

FAIRFIELD — Luella Fenton, 75, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at her home of natural causes.
Surviving are her husband, Oscar; a daughter, Donna Haegele; a son, Randy; a sister, Wilma Lichtenberger; a brother, C.A. Hooper; and three grandchildren.

McLEANSBORO - Donald E. Bennett, 77, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.
He had been a salesman.

MOUNT CARMEL - Frank J. Campbell, 83, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at Holiday Manor in Princeton, Ind.
He retired from the local hospital's housekeeping department.
Surviving are his wife, Marie (Turpin); a daughter, Michele Harms; two sons, James Shoultz and Michael Whittler; and eight grandchildren.

Gregory Hanks
HARRISBURG - Gregory K. Hanks, 38, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at his home.
He worked in the heating and air conditioning business.
Surviving are his wife, Melodie (Moser); his mother, Carol (Gates) Hanks; a brother, Jack A.; and a granddaughter.

William W. Crimmin
SUGAR GROVE, Ill. -- William W. Crimmin, 53, died of cancer Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at his home here.
He was born in Aurora, Ill., and attended Oswego High School, graduating in 1966. He attended college at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill. Prior to his illness, he was employed as a machinist for Johnson Controls, and before that, worked for BP/Amoco. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed bowling and cars.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Judy (Paff) Crimmin; one brother, Donald Crimmin of Oswego, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Ginny Beasley of Henderson; three brothers-in-law, Fred Paff, Robert Paff and Richard Paff, all of Henderson; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McKeown-Dunn Funeral Home, 210 S. Madison St., Oswego. The Rev. Brian Pearson will officiate. Cremation will take place in River Hills Crematory in Batavia, Ill.

HARRISBURG - Dennis E. Diefenbach, 46, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, in St. Louis of cancer.
He was a coal miner.
Surviving are two sons, Josh and Cory; his father, Edward; two sisters, Darla Barger and Tara Carney; two stepbrothers; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Palestine Church, with burial in Palestine Cemetery. There will be no visitation at Watson Funeral Home.
Martin Forrester Jr.
ROBINSON - Martin H. Forrester Jr., 39, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, in Robinson.
He worked at the penitentiary in Robinson.
Surviving are a daughter, Elisha Victoria Forrester; a son, Michael Anthony; a sister, Judy Lee Byrum; four stepsisters, Hazel Williams, Ruth Adams, Ruby Lewis and Ethel Wiskersta; and a stepbrother, Pete.
