Robert Edward Koe of Carol Stream
A memorial service for Robert Edward Koe, 80, of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, formerly of Lake Bluff and Riverside, will be held at 3 p. m. Sunday, at First Presbyterian Church, 715 N. Carlton Ave., Wheaton, with Dr. Douglas J. Brouwer officiating.
Born March 15, 1918, in Chicago, he died suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital.
Mr. Koe graduated from Morton High School and Northwestern University, and received his master's degree from Southern Connecticut University. He served in the Navy during World War II and the
Korean War. In 1939, Mr. Koe began his career with General Electric, where he workeduntil retiring in 1981, having served in the Hotpoint division for several years. His career at G. E. took him to Puerto Rico, where he was controller for two plants. He then returned to work in New York and Bridgeport, Conn.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Sharon Koe Berryman of Houston, Texas and Robert E. (Marlene) Koe of Lake Forest; grandchildren; Kim, Wendy, Linda and Scott Berryman and Robert, Kirsten and Kathy Koe; great-grandson, Nathan Berryman; and sister, Jean Zavod of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Willard Koe.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p. m. today, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.

Elizabeth L. (Torroll) Kovar of Aurora
Services for Elizabeth L. (Torroll) Kovar, 75, were held earlier this week at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. The Rev. John Rodgers officiated.
Born Dec. 27, 1923, in DuQuoin, Ill., the daughter of Peter and Florence Girup, she died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Countryside Care Center in Aurora. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, St. Charles.
Survivors include her sons, Peter (Cindy) Torroll of St. Charles and Joseph (Sue) Torroll of Wheaton; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred (Mary Ann) Girup of Florida, Glen Girup of South Carolina and John (Mary Lou) of Wisconsin; and several niecesand nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jerry Girup and Peter Girup.

Arthur J. Kwerneland formerly of Arlington Heights
Memorial services for Arthur J. Kwerneland, 81, of North Fort Myers, Fla., will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at Prince of Peace Methodist Church, northwest corner of Devon and Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village.
Born June 22, 1917, in Chicago, he died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, in North Fort Myers. Burial was private.
Former owner of Fred Busch Sausage Company, he was past president of Skokie Valley Barbershop Chorus (S. P. E. B. S. Q. S. A. ).
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Helen (nee Malec); children, Arthur S. (Carolyn) Kwerneland of Littleton, Colo., Ann (David) Robert of Chesterfield, Mo. and Marjory (Paul) Adams of McHenry; and grandchildren, Erica and Dana Robert, Katie, Scott and Steven Adams, and Luke and Betsy Kwerneland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alf and Anna Kwerneland; and brother, Lee A. Kwerneland.

Evelyn Lawrijan of Mount Prospect
Services for Evelyn Lawrijan (nee Strzok), 72, will begin at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday, at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect, and continue with Mass at 10 a. m., at St. Emily Church, 1400 E. Central Road, Mount Prospect.
Born July 23, 1926, in Chicago, she died Thursday, Jan. 7,1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Entombment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
Mrs. Lawrijan had been employed as a cashier at the Dominick's Store in Mount Prospect Plaza.
She was the beloved wife of the late Alphonse F. Lawrijan; loving mother of Lawrence E. and Laurie D. Lawrijan; cherished grandmother of Jesse A.; dear sister of Adam (Patricia) Strzok and the late Edward Strzok and Jean (Theodore) Henowich; dear aunt of Arlene, Justin, Christine, Charles and Daniel; and cherished close friend of Jodi L. Shenefield.

Sidney Miller of Elk Grove Village
Services for Sidney Miller, 72, will be held at 11 a. m. Monday, at Beth Tikvah Congregation, 300 Hillcrest Blvd., Hoffman Estates.
Born June 25, 1926, in Brooklyn, N. Y., he died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Rush Presbyterian Hospital.
A resident of Elk Grove Village since 1959, Mr. Miller served on the first Park District Board. He served his country from 1943 to 1945 in the Navy and was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Miller is best remembered for his love of flying model airplaines and as a respected educator. He taught elementary education in School District 59 for 25 years.
He was the loving father of Mitch, Eric, Brett and Gregg; loving grandfather of Ryan, Lindsay, Sarah, Clint, Ellen, Joshua, Jack and Henry; and loving friend of JudithCohen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Frauenthal Miller.

Vincent B. Mullins of Batavia
A memorial service for Vincent B. Mullins, 95, was held earlier this week at Holy Cross Church in Batavia.
Born July 4, 1903, in Freeport, Ill., he died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Mullins graduated from the University of Wisconsin and, for many years, worked at Walgreens, where he helpedto start many of the pharmacies in Wisconsin. For more than 30 years, he also helped his wife at Mullins Real Estate, which they owned and operated.
He was a member of the Illinois Thoroughbred Breeders Association.
He is survivedby his wife of 58 years, Hertha.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Corinne, and a sister, Edith.

Paul J. Raabe of West Chicago
Funeral services for Paul J. Raabe, 69, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at St. Mary's Church in West Chicago.
Mr. Raabe died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999.
He was born in Louisville, Ky., grew up in Cincinnati, and lived the last five years in West Chicago.
He is survived by 11 children, Christine (Gustave) Essig, Joseph (Doris), James (Barbara), Susan, Thomas (Kristie), Mary (Phillip) Tinnes, Dorothy Dee, Julie (Michael) Tyler, Peggy (Mark) Kinnaman, Patricia (Kevin) Wales and Paul; and 13 grandchildren.
