Helen P. Lundblad of Batavia
Memorial services for Helen P. Lundblad, 85, will be held at 2 p. m. Monday, July 5, at The Holmstad's Ahlstrand Chapel, Batavia.
Born Dec. 16, 1913, in Carthage, Ill., the daughter of William G. and Margaret (nee Lauf) Price, she passed away Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at the Michealsen Health Care Center in Batavia. Graveside services will he held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, July 6, at Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Chicago.
A resident of the Holmstad in Batavia, Mrs. Lundblad was a former school vice principal and teacher, prior to serving the Lord as a teacher in the mission field in Congo, Africa, along with her husband, Rev. Arthur M. Lundblad.
Survivors include her stepdaughter, Rev. Janet Lundblad; stepsons, David (Anna) Lundblad and Daniel (Joan) Lundblad; stepgrandchildren, Katarina, Kristina, Emily and Carl Lundblad; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition toher parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Price; and sister, Margaret Stattman.

John H. Martin of Arlington Heights
Services for John H. Martin, 76, formerly of Lyndhurst, Ohio, began with prayers Friday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, with Mass following at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, Anderson and Williams Drive, Palatine.
Born March 25, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio, he died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at home. Interment was in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Martin had been employed by Sears Roebuck & Company as a department manager for more than 30 years. He was an
Army veteran and had been a Eucharistic minister at St. Clare Catholic Church in Lyndhurst for more than 20 years.
Survivors include his children, Robert C. Martin of Winston-Salem, N. C., Kenenth G. Martin of North Hills, Calif., Nancy J. Martin of Chapel Hill, N. C. and Diana (Roy John) Hoppe of Arlington Heights; grandson, Ryan J. Hoppe of Arlington Heights; brothers, Henry (Alma) Martin of North Carolina and George Martinof North Carolina; sister, Irene Russell of Alaska; and former wife, Marjorie J. Martin.

Scott A. Paez of Rolling Meadows
Services for Scott A. Paez, 44, will be held at 8 p. m. Sunday, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows.
Born Dec. 12, 1954, in Oak Park, he died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wis.
Mr. Paez had been employed as a computer operator and was a former paramedic.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara M. Paez (nee Francione); loving father of John A., Shawn and Jessica Paez; cherished son of Alice and the late Raymond Paez; dear brother of Patti and the late Raymond (Marsha) Paez; and fond son-in-law of John and Geraldine Francione.
Visitation will be from 3 p. m. until the time of services at 8 p. m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
James A. Pavlus of Libertyville
A memorial service for James A. Pavlus, formerly of Waukegan, will be held at 7 p. m. Monday, at St. Joseph's Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville.
Mr. Pavlus, 52, is believed to havemet with a fatal accident while hiking in California's Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in late April 1998. Despite search efforts during the past 14 months, his remains have never been found. The memorial service will bring closure for his family and friends, and honor his life.
A native of Syracuse, N. Y., he received his undergraduate degree in biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and his masters degree in library science from CaseWestern Reserve University. He was a 25-year employee of Abbott Laboratories, having worked the majority of those years as a librarian.
Most recently he held the position of emerging technologies analyst.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne; son, John, a senior at Ithaca College in Ithaca, N. Y.; daughter, Sarah, a junior a Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.; parents, John and Janet Pavlus of Brooksville, Fla.; and brothers, David (Wendy) of Skaneateles, N. Y. and Donald (Carol) of Liverpool, N. Y.
A service for family and friends in the Syracuse area will be held at the end of July.

Helen R. Przybylo of Arlington Heights
Services for Helen R. Przybylo (nee Findysz), 89, will begin at 9:30 a. m., Monday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, and will continue with a Mass at 10 a. m., at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Born March 25, 1910 in Chicago, she died Thursday June 24, 1999 at the Lutheran Home and Services for the Aged in Arlington Heights. Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery
in Niles.
Helen had been a resident of Arlington Heights for the past eight years, and had served as a caterer in food services for many years. She was also a former member of St. Walter Catholic Church in Roselle.
She was the wife of the late Walter Jezior, who died June 25, 1935, and the late Stanley Przybylo, who died March 8, 1978; loving mother of Helen (Jacob) Pipowski of Arlington Heights, Walter (Mary) Jezior of Schaumburg and the late Lottie Schoepke and Irene (the late Gregory) Bojarski; mother-in-law of Walter Schoepke of Medinah; dear grandmother of six and great-grandmother of eight.
She was also the loved sister of Pauline Novicki, Lottie Millazzo, Clara Behrendt, Irene DeCaro, and the late Stella Laskowski, Emily Bukowski, and Joseph, Henry and Edward Findysz.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Marie G. Rankin of Schaumburg
Services for Marie G. Rankin (nee Gears), 93, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, Ill. Burial will be in Linn-Hebron Cemetery, Hebron, Ill.
Born June 16, 1906 in Lonaconing, Md., she died Wednesday, June 23, at Friendship Village, Schaumburg.
For many years Mrs. Rankin taught child Evangelism classes in her home.
Survivors include her sons, Alexander (Joanne) Rankin V of Bedminster Pa. and William G. (Vivian) Rankin of Chicago; daughter, Lesley R. (Phil) Judson of Gurnee; and sister, Ruth (the late Howard) Wood of Park Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Rankin IV; and brothers, Thomas, Wilbur and Royal.

Alvena Reckzeh of Schaumburg
Private funeral services were held for Alvena Reckzeh (nee Knoblauch), of Friendship Village retirement home in Schaumburg, also of Metamora, Ill.
Mrs. Reckzeh passed away Thursday, June24, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.
A resident of the Chicago area since 1921, she was chairman of the Piano Department at the Chicago Conservatory of Music for many years, retiring in 1973.
She was past president of the Society of American Musicians and Mu Xi Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon National Honor Music Sorority, member of the Chicago Artists Association and the Musicians Union Local 10-208. She and the late Kathryn Anderson concertized extensively in Chicago and the midwest as a two-piano team.
They performed several times at the Twilight Musicales at the old Edgewater Hotel in Chicago. Mrs. Reckzeh was also a well-known accompanist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Reckzeh, a prominent Chicago musician.

Lydia Rowe of Elgin
Private graveside services for Lydia Rowe (nee Volkening), 99, will be held on Monday in Lakewood Memorial Park. The Rev. Joellen Hosler will officiate.
Born March 28, 1900, in Bartlett, to Herman and Emma (nee Thies) Volkening, she died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at ManorCare Health Services in Elgin.
Mrs. Rowe had been a resident of Elgin for most of her life and had been employed by Sherman Hospital for 30 years beforeretiring. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Bartlett and of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).
Survivors include her daughters, Jeanette (Floyd) Vogel and Arleen (Robert) Applehoff, both of Elgin; grandchildren, Ellen Vogel, Jean Larsson, Robert L. Applehoff, Randy (Carol) Vogel, Jill (Tom) Graff and JackVogel (fiancee, Michelle Franke); and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Rowe, in 1984; sisters, Martha Klug, Adelia Fleischer and Ella Kassien; and brother, Herman Volkening.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p. m. Sunday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.

Ana Mae Schotanus of Mundelein
Services for Ana Mae Schotanus, 72, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville.
She passed away Thursday, June 24, 1999. Interment will be in Warren Cemetery, Gurnee.
Mrs. Schotanus was a 1948 graduate of Grant Hospital School of Nursing, the last class in the
Army Cadet Corps of Nursing to graduate from there. She served as a nursing administrator for Winchester House in Libertyville from 1964 to 1981, the culmination of a 35-year career dedicated to the nursing field. A proud, lifelong resident of Lake County, Mrs.
Schotanus was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Libertyville and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She will always be remembered for her measureless generosity.
Shewas the loving wife of the late William Schotanus; dear mother of Lynn (John) Rhett of Auburn, Wash., Cheryl (Bill) Barbera of Lindenhurst, Joel (Denise) Bracher of Round Lake Beach and Tracey (Gary) Reimers of Kenosha, Wis.; loving grandmother of Erika Conkling of California, Justin Rhett of Washington, Tiffany Schotanus of Illinois, Jennifer Barbera of Illinois, Jeremy Reimers of Wisconsin, Erik Reimers of Wisconsin and Chantal (Rich) Laskowski of Illinois; dear great-grandmother of Brooke and Colin Laskowski, both of Illinois; fond sister of Herb (Penny) Bracher of Libertyville, and the late Leland `Slim' (Mary) Bracher and Phyllis (the late Don) Des Lauriers; good friend of EdieClaven and Mary Ann Gibbs; and dear friend to many.

Robert Earl `Bob' Sharpe formerly of Palatine
A memorial service for Robert Earl `Bob' Sharpe of Peachland, N. C., was held Saturday, June 19, in Hiddenite, N. C.
Born Oct. 2, 1926, in Hiddenite, he died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Monroe, N. C. Burial was also in Hiddenite.
Bob, a veteran of World War II, worked for 32 years at International Harvester Company (Navistar) in Chicago before retiring in December 1981, at the age of 55.
He enjoyed almost 17 years of retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Hyatt Sharpe of Peachland; daughter, Terry (Frank) Hill of Schaumburg; sons, R. Daniel (Meredith) Sharpe of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Richard (Christi) Sharpe of West Dundee; daughter-in-law, Terri Sharpe-Alvarado of Ottawa, Ill.; stepchildren, John (Deborah) Hyatt, Steve (Melody) Hyatt and Mack (Judy) Hyatt, all of Peachland; grandchildren, Carla Hill at Purdue University in Indiana, Nathan and Ryan Sharpe at Orange Coast College in California, David, Patrickand Jessica Sharpe of Ottawa, Bron (Tanya) Hyatt, Blake, Brent and Lauren Hyatt, Ryan and Luke Hyatt, and Katie and Lindsey Hyatt, all of Peachland; sisters, Carm Gant and Libby Shook of Taylorsville, N.
