Geneva Beard of Elgin
Funeral services for Geneva Beard, 94, will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday, at First United Presbyterian Church of Elgin. The Rev. Douglas Hall will officiate.
Born April 30, 1905, in McHenry, Ky., to James and Rebecca (nee Taylor) McConnell, she died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at her home. Burial will be private, in Lakewood Memorial Park.
A resident of Elgin since 1935, Mrs. Beard worked as a nurse at the Elgin Mental HealthCenter for 43 years until her retirement. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church of Elgin, Bethel Chapter #291 Order of the Eastern Star, and the White Shrine of Jerusalem #26.
Surviving are her nephews, Frank (Marie) Minas of Phoenix, Ariz., James (Mary) McConnell of Verona, Wis., Richard McConnell of LaPorte, Ind., and Thomas(Judith) McConnell of Elgin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Beard, in 1982; brother, William McConnell; and sister, Mary Sager.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be madeto First United Presbyterian Church.

John J. Borodzik of North Chicago
A memorial Mass for John J. Borodzik, 80, will be celebrated at 9 a. m. Saturday, at Queen of Peace Church, 910-14th St., North Chicago.
Born Oct. 17, 1918, in Hillsboro, Ill., he died Monday, May 24, 1999, in Waukegan.
Mr. Borodzik had lived most of his life in North Chicago and was a former member of Holy Rosary Church. A veteran, he had served in the
Army during World War II. Mr. Borodzik had retired after 20 years of employment with the Great Lakes Civil Service. Previously he had worked at Cyclone Fence for 14 years.
Survivors include his sister, Stephanie Bobrowski of Park City; nephew, Robert (Maryann) Bobrowski of Lincoln,Neb.; and niece, Joan Sasavage of Longvalley, N. J.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Borodzik; brother, Edward; and sister, Virginia.

Vincent B. Boylan formerly of Naperville
Services for Vincent B. Boylan, 77, of Wauwatosa, Wis., formerly of Lake City, Fla., and Naperville, will be held at 9:30 a. m. Saturday, from Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville, going to St. Margaret Mary Church, Naper Blvd. and Green Trails Drive, Naperville, for a 10 a. m. Mass of Christian Burial.
Born Oct. 7, 1921, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, he died Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at St. Camillus Health Care Center. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery

Mr. Boylan had served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and was a graduate of the University of Detroit with a degree in commerce and finance. He had been employed by Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Mich., for 30 years before retiring in 1980.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalind (nee Baxter); daughter, Catherine A. (Michael) Pruyn of Naperville; sonsDaniel V. of Novi, Mich., and William T. (Peggy) of Overland Park, Kan.; six grandchildren, Carrie and Colleen Pruyn of Chicago, Ill., Aaron Boylan of Livonia, Mich., and Adam Boylan, Matthew Boylan, and Molly Boylan, all of Overland Park.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Patrick and Mary Jane (nee Keelty).
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p. m., today, at the funeral home.

Lorraine E. Bracke formerly of Twin Lakes, Palatine

She was the wife of the late John; mother of Lois (Raymond) Ennes; grandmother of Mark (Mary) Ennes, Dean (Wendy) Ennes, Davis (Ala) Ennes and Karen (John) Flickinger; and sister of Olive Meszares. She was the great-grandmother of nine.

Lorraine H. Byrnes of Arlington Heights

Mrs. Byrnes had been a secretary for F. H. Bohn in Arlington Heights for more than 10 years.
She was the wife of Richard M. Byrnes; mother of Deborah Ann (William) Rooney and Nancy (Robert) Kern; grandmother of Billy and Megan Rooney, and Richie and Colleen Kern; and sister of Jane Quigley and the late Evelyn McDonald, Dorothy Quigley and John Quigley.

Donald M. Cook formerly of St. Charles and Geneva
Services for Donald M. Cook, 91, of Knoxville, Tenn., will be held at 11 a. m. Monday, at Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake, 5 N 600 Hanson Road. The Rev. Winfield Johanson will officiate.
Born June 5, 1908, in Lost Nation, Iowa, to Melvin and Freda Cook, he passed away Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville.
Burial will be in Lily Lake Cemetery.
Mr. Cook was employed for 40 years by Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company as a CLU insurance agent. He had attended the University of Illinois and Northwestern University. Don was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Knoxville.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Elsie Cook; daughters, Carol (Nicholas) Muller of Madison, Wis., Suzanne (Arthur) Cothran of Beaver Dam, Wis., and Shari (David) Grace; brother, Glidden Cook of Hemet, Calif.; sister, Gladys Neise of Savanna, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Orville Cook.

Cecelia Mary Dugas formerly of Elgin
A Mass of Christian Burial for Cecelia Mary Dugas, of Aurora, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Thomas Dempsey will officiate.
Born Jan. 25, 1908, in Burlington, Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Mary (nee Grollemond) Herrmann, she died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, in Aurora.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Dugas was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary and Catholic Daughters of America in Elgin. She was a former owner of Rose Bud Beauty Salon of Elgin.
A volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital, she formerly lived in Orlando, Fla. for 16 years.
Survivors include seven nephews and nieces in the Fox Valley area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter T. Dugas, in 1968; sisters, Mary and Anna Engle; and brothers, Joseph, Edward, Ernest and William Herrmann.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p. m. today, at O'Connor and Homeier Funeral Home, 364 Division St., Elgin, with a Rosary at 4 p. m.
