William Michael McAndrews of Arlington Heights
Services for William Michael McAndrews, 49, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, at Arlington Heights Evangelical Free Church, 1331 N. Belmont Ave., Arlington Heights. The Rev. John Sheaffer will officiate.
Born June 6, 1950, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mr. McAndrews had been the owner of McAndrews Tool Sales for more than 20 years. He was a member of Grace Community Church in Palatine and had served in several areas of children's ministries, including teaching Sunday school and being a club leader and a member of the Children's Ministry Council.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia McAndrews (nee Schuh), whom he married Aug. 25, 1974; children, Timothy, Laura and Kathleen; mother, Anne; sister, Christine (Kenneth) Hauser; and brothers, James (Lanette) and John McAndrews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James McAndrews, and sister,Virginia Grazioso.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Friday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, and from 9 a. m. until the time of services at 10 a. m. Saturday, at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 625 North Court, Suite 280, Palatine, IL 60067.

Marie McElroy formerly of West Chicago
A memorial service for Marie McElroy (nee Nielsen), 81, of Castle Rock, Colo., will be held at 11 a. m. Friday, at Community Presbyterian Church, 1111 E. Madison, Lombard.
She died Monday, June 21, 1999, in Colorado. Interment will begin at 9 a. m. Friday, from Brust Funeral Home Ltd., 135 S. Main St., Lombard, going to Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace.
Mrs. McElroy had lived in West Chicago from 1962 to 1997 and formerly had resided in Westchester from 1959 to 1962 and in Maywood prior to that time. She was a 1936 graduate of Proviso High School.
She was a collector of dolls and antiques, and had become a well-known lecturer on these subjects.
Surviving are her daughter, Carol (Ron) Fippinger of Castle Rock; granddaughter, Lisa (Paul) Sorbo of Colorado; grandson, Peter Fippinger of Colorado; great-grandsons, Paul Lukas and Kalle Sorbo of Colorado; sister, Christine Linda Berg of Moline; nephew, Richard K. Berg Jr. of Aurora; nieces, Joyce Macdonald of Lombard, Judy Kuale of Lombard, Karen Roehlke of Bloomingdale and Shirley Lander of Walnut, Calif.; and lots of loving great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvan `Mac' McElroy.
Please omit flowers. Memorials made in her name to Porter Hospice Care, 2420 W. 26th Ave., #200D, Denver, CO 80211, would be appreciated.

Helen Medernach of Virgil
A funeral Mass for Helen Medernach, 77, will be held at 10:30 a. m. Friday, at S. S. Peter & Paul Church. Fr. Aloysius Neumann will officiate.
Born Sept. 21, 1921, in Sycamore, the daughter of Anton and Jessie (nee Anderson) Bleifuss, she passed away peacefully Sunday, June 20, 1999, at Bethany Care Center in Sycamore, where she had made her home since May. Interment will be in S. S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Virgil.
Helen grew up in Sycamore and graduated from Sycamore High School, class of 1939. She went on to take business courseswhich shortly landed her a job at Anaconda Wire Company in Sycamore. She went to California with her sister, Lois, and was employed in a business office for a few years before returning to work in Chicago. The last 20 years of her working career were spent in the business office at the Duplex Company in Sycamore.
She was united in marriage to William H. `Willie' Medernach on May 16, 1959.
They made their home in Sycamore for a short time before moving to Virgil where they lived across the street from the church for many years.
Survivors include her sisters, Virginia Stran of DeKalb, Irene Luty of Covina, Calif., Lois (Lawrence) Totman of Tucson, Ariz. and Dorothy (`Trig') Troeger of Sycamore; several nieces and nephews; and a family of dear friends. In addition, she leaves the quiet, simple legacyof one who cared. Her many thoughtful words of thanks, encouragement and friendship were patiently penned into countless cards that found their way into the hearts of many friends and neighbors through the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1997; and brothers, Albert, Lyle, Leslie and Donald Bleifuss.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p. m. today, at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, and from 9:30 a. m until thetime of the Mass Friday, at the church.
Memorials in her name may be made to Masses in her memory.

Donald E. Muller of Wauconda
Memorial services for Donald E. Muller, 58, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, at Ivanhoe Congregational Church, 21078 W. Highway 176, Mundelein.
Born July 21, 1940, in Waterbury, Conn., he died Monday, June 21, 1999, at Condell Memorial Hospital in Libertyville. Burial will be private.
Mr. Muller was a Wauconda resident for seven years and was employed for seven years as a NIR applications specialist for Bran & Luebbe, Inc. in Buffalo Grove.
He was the husband of Virginia (nee Sitz); father of Hans (fiancee, Jennifer) and Heidi; son of Roberta and the late Edward Muller; brother of Robert (Barbara) and William Muller, and Virginia (William) Eckert; and uncle of many neices and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes. Association, c/o Mrs. Pamela Hirschfield, JDF TRibute Chairwoman, 291 Hastings, Highland Park, IL 60035.

James A. Pavlus of Libertyville
A memorial service for James A. Pavlus, formerly of Waukegan, will be held at 7 p. m. Monday, at St. Joseph's Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville.
Mr. Pavlus, 52, is believed to havemet with a fatal accident while hiking in California's Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in late April 1998. Despite search efforts during the past 14 months, his remains have never been found. The memorial service will bring closure for his family and friends, and honor his life.
A native of Syracuse, N. Y., he received his undergraduate degree in biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and his masters degree in library science from CaseWestern Reserve University. He was a 25-year employee of Abbott Laboratories, having worked the majority of those years as a librarian.
Most recently he held the position of emerging technologies analyst.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne; son, John, a senior at Ithaca College in Ithaca, N. Y.; daughter, Sarah, a junior a Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.; parents, John and Janet Pavlus of Brooksville, Fla.; and brothers, David (Wendy) of Skaneateles, N. Y. and Donald (Carol) of Liverpool, N. Y.
A service for family and friends in the Syracuse area will be held at the end of July.
Arrangements were made by McMurrough Chapel, Libertyville.

Kevin David Pfeiffer of Little Angels Nursing Home, Elgin
A funeral Mass for Kevin David Pfeiffer, 16, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Palatine.
Born March 20, 1983, in Glendale Heights, the son of David and Karen (nee Kline) Pfeiffer, he passed away Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at Sherman Hospital. Burial will be in private.
He attended Kirk School in Palatine.
Survivors include his parents of Hanover Park; sister, Jessica of Hanover Park; his maternal grandfather; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded indeath by his paternal grandparents; maternal grandmother; and uncle, Kerry Kline.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p. m. Friday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.
The omission of flowers is requested.

William J. Pionke of Buffalo Grove
A memorial Mass for William J. Pionke, 49, will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Friday, at St. Mary Church, 75 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove.
Born July 7, 1949, in Chicago, he died Saturday, June 19, 1999, at his home. Inurnment will be in St. Mary Church Cemetery.
A resident of Buffalo Grove for 13 years, Mr. Pionke had been employed as the central maintenance manager for the Western Division of Montgomery Wards.
He was the beloved husband for 23 years of Deborah Pionke (nee Santos); loving father of Devin Pionke; cherished son of Constance Pionke (nee Winger) of Lake Villa and the late `Val' Pionke; and dear brother of Robert (Teri) Pionke of Oregon, Patricia (William) Page of Lake Villa, Elizabeth (Corky) Lege of Florida and Constance (David) Wahl of Round Lake Beach.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a. m. until the time of Mass at 10 a. m. Friday, at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Devin Pionke Education Fund, c/o Harris Trust & Savings Bank, 1191 N. McHenryRoad, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.

Barbara J. Riedel of Naperville
A memorial service for Barbara J. Riedel, 59, will be held at 2 p. m. Friday, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 750 W. Aurora Ave., Naperville. Rev. Jeffrey Liddy will officiate.
Born March 8, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pa., she died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
She had been a resident of Naperville since 1988, moving from Burr Ridge. For many years she worked in retail for Chernin Shoes and Von Maur Department Store in Yorktown Shopping Center.
She was most recently employed by the State of Illinois as a bookkeeper at the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Survivors include her husband, Owen Sam Roberts of Naperville; daughter, Melissa (Jeff) Chrystal of Kalamazoo, Mich.; son, Daniel Cunningham of Downers Grove; sister, Norman (late Edward) Muller of Churchville, Pa.; and grandchildren, Kelsey, Emma and William Chrystal of Kalamazoo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Regina (nee Basalik) Riedel.
Memorials in Mrs. Riedel's name may be made to the Children's Memorial Foundation, 2300 Children's Plaza, Box 4, Chicago, IL 60614.

Donnegan J. Riley
ervices for Donnegan J. Riley, 42, of Kenosha, Wis., will be held at 8 p.m. today, at McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville.
He passed away Monday, June 21, 1999.
Burial will be private.
Mr. Riley was a longtime employee of Northwest Town Refrigeration, a division of Reedy Industry, in Glenview.
He was the former husband of Beth; father of John Porter; and brother of Patricia (Don) McWhorter, Charles Riley, Buzz Riley, Margaret (Joseph) Ciminera and Herb Riley.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, with services at 8 p.m., at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Don M. Ringler of St. Charles
Private funeral services will be held for Don M. Ringler, 56, of St. Charles.
Born July 24, 1942, in Stow, Ohio, to Ralph and Marguerite (nee Smith) Cruickshank, he died Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva.
For 26 years, Mr. Ringler had been employed as a trust officer for Pittsburgh National Bank, Central Trust Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Harris Bank of Chicago. He also had been the CEO of a local antenna manufacturing company and was in the process of forming a business locally, to be known asSt. Charles Wireless. In addition, Mr. Ringler was an amateur radio operator and a member of the Radio Club of America, and his call sign was WD8BZD.
Surviving are his wife of seven years, Muriel Anne Ringler; daughter, Dawn Michele Ringler of Tucson, Ariz.; and son, Donald Mead Ringler Jr. of Cincinnati.
Contributions in Mr. Ringler's name may be made to the American Heart Association, Dot Phillips Memorial Chair, 36 W 604 Oakridge Lane, St. Charles, IL 60174.
