Prayers for Steven Z. Lewinski, 13, will be said at 9 a. m. Wednesday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/ Roselle Rd.) ,Roselle. Mass will follow at 10 a. m. at St. Walter Church. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
He was the loving son of Zenon and Kathleen (nee Gaborek); dear brother of Laura and Zachary; and fond grandson of Zenon and Loda Lewinski, and Norbert and the late Adeline Gaborek.

Andrew B. `Ben' Lytle of Palatine
Services for Andrew B. `Ben' Lytle, 80, formerly of Mount Prospect, will be held at 10 a. m. Thursday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect.
Born Nov. 26, 1918, in Dallas, Texas, he died Monday, June 21, 1999. Interment will be private.
A World War II veteran, Mr. Lytle had been a captain in the Air Force from Oct. 9, 1942 to Nov. 30, 1945, and flew 225 missions out of New Guinea. After the war, he graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas,with a degree in civil engineering. He then moved to Chicago where he eventually started his own business, Custer Construction Company. Mr. Lytle had lived in the Northwest Suburbs for the past 50 years.
Survivors include his wife of more than 24 years, Elizabeth `Betty' Lytle; children, Janice (Darryl) Phillips, Deborah (Dan) Gardinier and the late John Douglas Lytle; and grandchildren, Todd, Corey and Michael Phillips, Sarah (John) Kimbell, and Katie andJoe Gardinier.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

John Joseph McGhee of McHenry
Services for John Joseph McGhee, 79, will begin with prayers at 9:45 a. m. Wednesday, at the Peter M. Justen Colonial Funeral Home, 3807 W. Elm St. (Route 120), McHenry, and continue with Mass at 10:30 a. m., at Transfiguration Church in Wauconda.
Born Oct. 29, 1919, in Glasgow, Scotland, to John and Catherine (nee McGaihe) McGhee, he died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Highland Park.
Mr. McGhee was an
Army veteran of World War II and had worked as a printing pressman throughout his life. He was a member of Transfiguration Church in Wauconda.
Surviving are his children, Kathleen (Douglas) Ulrich of Lake in the Hills and James (Christine) McGhee of Mount Prospect; grandchildren, Douglas (Chris) Ulrich, Michael (Christy) Ulrich and Dawn (Marij) Parikh; great-grandchildren, Mikey, Magen and Madilyn; and brother, Edward (Susie) McGhee of Cicero.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bruna McGhee, whom he married April 8, 1945, in Chicago; and his parents.

Jozef Pasternak of Mount Prospect
A funeral Mass for Jozef Pasternak, 79, will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, at St. Raymond Church, Elmhurst Rd. (Route 83) at Lincoln St., Mount Prospect.
Born Aug. 20, 1919, in Gory, Poland, he died Friday, June 18, 1999, at Claremont Rehabilitation Center in Buffalo Grove.
Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.
Retired, Mr. Pasternak had been a self-employed carpenter.
He was the husband of the late Zofia Pasternak (nee Krzyszton); father of Walter (Bernadine) Pasternak, Irene (Kenneth) Stachowicz, Chestera (Donald) Moravec, Richard Pasternak, Christine Pasternak, Theresa (Robert) Plesniak and Donna (Christopher) DeGiorgio; grandfather of Joseph, Laura, Robert, Erin, Kristen, Marisa and Lauren; and great-grandfather of Joshua.

A member of Schaumburg Senior Citizens, she was the wife of the late Edmund; mother of Edmund (Barbara) and Barbara E. (George J.) Slabowski; grandmother of George, Elizabeth, Joseph, Michelle and Edmund; and great-grandmother of Sarah, Melissa, Thomas, Karen, Michele, Melissa and Nicholas.

Clifford H. `Red' Siercks of St. Charles
Services for Clifford H. `Red' Siercks, 75, will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. The Rev. William Nagy will officiate.
Born April 22, 1924, in Newman, Ill., he passed away Monday, June 21, 1999, following a short illness. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Siercks was employed with the City of St. Charles for more than 24 years. He had also worked for Dempsey ING Construction for three years. Mr. Siercks participated in many different organizations, including the St. Charles Rifle and Pistol Club, the Aurora Sportsman Club, and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 682 in Batavia, and, since 1984, had been a member of the Good Sam Camping Club Chapter #1 of St. Charles. Red devoted 16 years of service to the community as a volunteer fireman for the city of St. Charles and as a Kane County Sheriff's Department volunteer. He was also a former assistant scoutmaster for Troop 13 in St. Charles and was the animal control officer for many years.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Helen Siercks, whom he married April 21, 1949, at St. Patrick's Church in Maytown, Ill.; children, Harold (Carol) Siercks of Manitowoc, Wis., and Annette (John) McKiness of St. Charles; grandchildren, Daniel and Eric Siercks, and Sara and Kevin McKiness; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Siercks; sister, Emmaline Olsen; brother, Charles Siercks; and parents, Emil and Emily Siercks.

For the past five years Mrs. Spirito had been employed as a customer service representative for Portillo's in Schaumburg. Previously she had worked as a medical receptionist at the Family Chiropractic and Sports Injury Center in Lake Zurich.
She was the loving mother of Donna (Frank) Schaffeld, Carole (Joseph) Younis and Tucker Spirito; and cherished grandmother of Daria and Daryl Schaffeld, and Lauren and Jordan-Taylor Younis.

Phyllis Marie Steinhoff formerly of Rolling Meadows
Services for Phyllis Marie Steinhoff (nee Beck), 78, of Fort Myers, Fla., will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Born March 28, 1921, in Chicago, she died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation in Florida. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Steinhoff had been employed in inventory control for National Steel in Evanston.
