William Willis Clark of Grayslake
Services for William Willis Clark, 79, will be held at 11 a. m. Thursday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.
Rev. Judith Wang, pastor of United Protestant Church in Grayslake, will officiate.
Born Jan. 29, 1920, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, he passed away Sunday, June 20, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Entombment will be in Highland MemorialPark Cemetery, Libertyville.
A 44-year Grayslake resident, Mr. Clark was employed as a heavy equipment welder with Hough International Harvester at the Libertyville plant for more than 24 years, retiring in 1982. He was a volunteer scripture reader affiliated with Hillcrest Nursing Home in Round Lake for many years.
He leaves his son, Robert (Florence E.) Clark of Spring Grove; grandchildren, Robert (Karen) of Streamwood, Dawn (Bryan) Martin of Clemmons, N. C. and Joseph (Kelly) Clark of Round Lake; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Larry and Richard; and wife, Rose.
Friends of the family may visit from 6 to 9 p. m. Wednesday, at the funeral chapel.
Josephine L. Daly of St. Charles
A funeral Mass for Josephine L. Daly, 93, will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Thursday, at St. John Neumann Church in St. Charles. Msgr. Robert B. Hoffman will officiate.
Born Dec. 11, 1905, in Chicago, to Antonio and Concetta (nee Pichiotti) Leonardi, she died Monday, June 21, 1999, at her home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, St. Charles.
During World War II, Mrs. Daly and her husband owned and operated Daly's Restaurant in Aurora. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in St.
Charles, a charter member of the St. Charles Historical Society, and a member of the National Restaurant Association and the Stewards and Caters Association.
Surviving are her sister, Gwen Howard of Arcadia, Calif.; brother, Quinton (Margie) Leonardi of Aurora; andmany nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Daly, in 1946; her parents; sister, SusanReader; and brother, Louis Leonardi.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Wednesday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles, with the rosary recited at 7:30 p. m.

Carl B. Durley of Lake Bluff
Services and interment for Carl B. Durley, 60, will be held in Tylertown, Miss.
Born Jan. 10, 1939, in Tylertown, Mr. Durley died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at Evanston Hospital in Evanston.
A veteran, Mr. Durley had served in the Air Force during the Vietname War. He was employed as a technical writer for Abbott Laboratories.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Shane (Maureen Ava Bugarin) Durley.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Benton Alvin Durley III and Chuck Durley; and parents, Ruby and Benton Alvin Durley II.
Carl was a loving father to his son, Shane, and Shane's wife, Maureen. His life was dedicated to helping people. Although Carl's formal job was a technical writer with Abbott Laboratories, his true occupation of life was that ofa patient and caring teacher to all he loved. He will live forever in the hearts of those he had touched.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p. m. Wednesday, with a eulogy at 7:30 p. m. at McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville.
Betty H. Edwards of Glen Ellyn
Private memorial services will be held for Betty H. Edwards (nee Holman), 94, of Glen Ellyn.
Born March 23, 1905, in Pennsylvania, she died Monday, June 21, 1999, at Rest Haven West Nursing Center. Interment will be private.
A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Fred Edwards; mother of Fred J.
(Beryl) Edwards Jr.; and grandmother of Gail (George) Visser, Scott (Julie) Edwards and Nancy (Todd) Galloway.

Harry N. Etters Sr. formerly of Cary
Services for Harry N. Etters Sr., 81, also formerly of Barrington, will be held at 10 a. m. Thursday, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary.
Born May 23, 1918, in Exland, Wis., the son of George and Kate Etters, he died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Burial will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
Mr. Etters was a World War II Air Force veteran. He was past commander of Post #158 American Legion of Barrington. A 60-year member of the Carpenters Union, he was former owner of the Broken Oar Tavern in Cary.
Survivors include his children, Ronald `Pepper' (Jan) Etters of Vail, Colo., Sandra (Bob) Kuchenbrod of Helena, Mont., Sue (Al) Mitchell of Phoenix, Ariz. and Jack (Randy) Etters ofVersailles, Ky.; stepchildren, David (Sue) Tanzer of Vail, Meg (George) Byrtek of Dundee, Ore., Catherine (Adam Schlagman) Etters of Philadelphia and Harry `Buddy' (Lynn) Etters of Plainfield; 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, George, Les and Richard Etters; and sisters, Mildred Chabrian, Mae Ketterman and Marian Wright.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ethel; son, Charles `Smokey' Etters; and brothers, Roy and Earl Etters.

George J. Haas of Mundelein

Born July 16, 1925, in Wheeling, he died Friday, June 18, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Intermentwill be private.
A 48-year Mundelein resident, he is survived by his son, George J. Haas III of Mundelein; daughter, Diane Danhoff of Mundelein; sister, Janet Jankowski of Chicago; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion.

Otto Bouc Jr.
Dr. Otto Bouc Jr., 71, of Whitehall, Mich., formerly of Illinois, a loving husband and father, died Sunday, June 20, 1999. Born Oct. 12, 1927, in Chicago, the son of Otto Sr. and Marie (nee Amcha) Bouc, he had lived in the Whitehall area for the past 13 years. On Aug. 3, 1974, in Illinois, he married the former Mimi Zitzler.
A graduate of the University of Illinois and Northwestern University, he had been a board certified orthopedic surgeon. Upon moving to Whitehall, he became co-owner and operator of Crosswinds Marine Service and Crosswinds Restaurant. Dr. Bouc was founder of O'Hare Industrial Clinic in Illinois and founder of Orthopedic Associationof Arlington Heights. He was a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was a staff member of Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Shiners Hospital for Crippled Children in Chicago and Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon, Mich.
Dr. Bouc served in the
Army occupational forces in Germany.
Survivors include his wife, Mimi; children, Scott (Lynn) Harsch of Chicago, Nancy (Joe)Radler of Arlington Heights, Dale (Elaine) Harsch of Whitehall, Dr. Geoffry (Cyndi) Bouc of Wisconsin, Sue (Mike) Keegan of Palatine, Eric (Kim) Harsch of North Muskegon, Mich., Jim (Elise) Bouc of Des Plaines and Andy (Erica) Bouc of Palatine; 18 grandchildren; and brother, Charles (Josephine) Bouc of Wisconsin.

Shirley J. (Pickert) Kyser of North Aurora
Services for Shirley J. (Pickert) Kyser, 74, formerly of Sugar Grove, will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, at St. Mark;s Lutheran Church, Edgelawn, Aurora. Rev. Wayne Miller will officiate.
Born Oct. 15, 1924, in LaSalle County, the daughter of Obert and Susie (nee Monsen) Howe, she died unexpectedly Sunday, June 20, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Kaneville Cemetery.
When she was a child, the family moved to Aurora where she grew up until her high school years when they returned to LaSalle County. They made their home in Earlville where Shirley graduated from Earlville High School.
On Nov. 28, 1946, she was united in marriage to Clarence Leo Pickert. Clarence was a Navy pilot at the time and was stationed in California where they spent their early years. Following his discharge from active duty, they returned to Earlville. Clarence continued to serve in the Navy reserve however, and was stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Station near Chicago, where he lost his life tragically in an air crash over Lake Michigan on Nov. 14, 1958.
Shirley faithfully raised their loving family in Earlville where she was a very personal part of that community. She worked as Torman's furniture for some years as well as Bert's Packing Plant, but many cane to know her as the voice that delivered the daily news on Mendota radio. A woman with a sense of humor and an outgoing sincerity that easily endeared her to everyone she met, Shirley was also famous for her chocolate chip cookies.
They were the classic `thank you' and `thinking of you' gift and countless are those who loved the cookies as much as the `baker'.
On June 4, 1977 she was united in marriage to Edward Kyser in Earlville. They made their home in Sugar Grove not far from Aurora where Ed was a well known real estate broker and appraiser. Following Edward's passing in 1994, Shirley continued to make her home near Sugar Grove for a time before moving to North Aurora. Continuing her active life as a devoted mother and grandmother, she also enjoyedtravel tours with a host of friends. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her children, Sandra L. (Allan) Rhea of Aurora, Stephen J. Pickert of Sugar Grove and Scott R. (Kristi) Pickert of Hinckley; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Duffert of North Aurora, Jeff (Jennifer) Pickert of Earlville, Kristi (Brian) Parrott of Wichita, Kan., David (Cheryl) Pickert of DeKalb and Bryan Pickert of St. Charles; great-grandson, Joshua Hunter Pickert; and a family of good friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence Pickert and Edward Kyser; and sister, Margaret `Peggy' Baird.

Born Oct. 15, 1924, in Chicago, she died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Lemein was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of PEO.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, John Lemein, whom she married Sept. 21, 1946; children, Janis (Bob) Goetz of Elgin, Gregg (Carolyn) Lemein of Kenilworth, Trudy (Wally) Foote of Arlington Heights and Sharon (Steve) Lear of Lindenhurst; and grandchildren, Nancy, John, Robert, Doug, Jonathan, Donovan,Kim, Bryan and Eric.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Mable Thompson; and brother, Richard Thompson.
