Andrew Rippel of Itasca
A visitation for Andrew Rippel, 73, will be held from 4 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Road, Itasca.
Born June 21, 1925, in Chicago, he died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Lexington of Elmhurst. Burial will be private.
Retired, Mr. Rippel had been a meat cutter for Stockyard Packaging.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Rippel; children, Thomas (Judy) Rippel and Patricia Murray; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Catherine Lindquist and Nancy (Joseph) Rubel; and brother, John Rippel.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Merlin G. Robey of Des Plaines
A funeral Mass for Merlin G. Robey, 70, formerly of Norridge, will be held at 10 a. m,. Tuesday, at St. Mary Church, Des Plaines.
Born Oct. 28, 1928, he died Saturday, June 19, 1999, at Holy Family Medical Center. Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
A retired engineer for Adams Elevator Company in Skokie, he also worked for 20 years at Ampex in Elk Grove Village. He was a Korean War Navy veteran.
Hewas the husband of the late Connie F. (nee Polizzi); father of Richard D.
(Laurene) Robey of McHenry and Carol F. Robey of Des Plaines; brother of Reggie (Mary Jo) Robey of Grand Rapids, Mich., Virginia (Leo) Driscoll of Valparaiso, Ind. and the late Harold Robey; and grandfather of Sarah, Richard and Robert.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. today, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.

Lawrence E. Rohrer of Mount Prospect
A funeral Mass for Lawrence E. Rohrer, 75, will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, at St. Raymond Church, Elmhurst Road (Route 83) and Lincoln Street, Mount Prospect.
Born Dec. 29, 1923, in Chicago, he died Saturday, June 19, 1999, at ManorCare in Rolling Meadows. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Mr. Rohrer was an Army sergeant during World War II, and a retired engineer for the telephone company.
He was the husband of Virginia Rohrer (nee Wetter); father of Lawrence A. (Nancy) Rohrer, Patricia (Richard) Rohrer-Walsh, John M. (Lynn) Rohrer, Mary Ellen (Jeffrey) Holdsberg and the late Michael Edward Rohrer; and grandfather of 11.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. today, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, Inc., 320 W. Central Road at Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect, and from 9 a. m. until the time of the Mass Tuesday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Marian J. Spirito of Palatine
Services for Marian J. Spirito (nee Costarella), 74, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, and continue with Mass at 10 a. m., at Holy Family Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness.
Born July 5, 1924, in Monroe, N. Y., she died Saturday, June 19, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
For the past five years Mrs. Spirito had been employed as a customer service representative for Portillo's in Schaumburg. Previously she had worked as a medical receptionist at the Family Chiropractic and Sports Injury Center in Lake Zurich.
She was the loving mother of Donna (Frank) Schaffeld, Carole (Joseph) Younis and Tucker Spirito; and cherished grandmother of Daria and Daryl Schaffeld, and Lauren and Jordan-Taylor Younis.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Phyllis Marie Steinhoff formerly of Rolling Meadows
Services for Phyllis Marie Steinhoff (nee Beck), 78, of Fort Myers, Fla., will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Born March 28, 1921, in Chicago, she died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation in Florida. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Steinhoff had been employed in inventory control for National Steel in Evanston.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Carl; daughter, Sandra Daleiden of Arlington Heights; grandchildren, Nicholas (Cathy) Daleiden of Rolling Meadows, Nanette (William) Schwantes of Wisconsin, Jeannine (Randy) Farwell of West Dundee and Elizabeth (Daniel) Krueger ofMinnesota; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Dolores (Ernest) Aylesworth of Niles and Jeannine Thompson of Rolling Meadows.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William Beck.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Marie Stolzman of Mount Prospect
Services for Marie Stolzman (nee Russell), 78, will be held at 8:30 p. m. today, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. at Northwest Hwy., Mount Prospect.
Born Nov. 25, 1921, in Chicago, she died Saturday, June 19, 1999, at Bloomingdale Pavilion of Bloomingdale.
A retired bookkeeper, she was the wife of the late George Stolzman; sister of the late Frank Russell, Violet Russell and Ethel Nehlsen;and aunt of Carol Gast, Judith Grubb, Dorothy Reynolds and Kathy Bertini.
Visitation will be from 4 p. m. until the time of the services today, at the funeral home.

David Strauss
Graveside services for David Strauss, 78, will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W. Montrose Ave., Norridge.
He was the beloved husband of Miriam Strauss (nee Friedman); cherished father of Ellen Strauss, Arlene Strauss, Janice (Michael) Davidow and Charles (Cheryl) Strauss; loving grandfather of Jacob and Devyn Strauss, Cliff Strauss, Jamie Silverman, Dana (Jim) Dembiniski, Evy Briggs, and Casey and Troy Davidow; loving great-grandfather of Joey and Jason Silverman; and devoted brother of Sydelle Gabrielle and the late Nate, Phil and Max Strauss.

Timothy Sullivan of Schaumburg
Services for Timothy Sullivan, 51, will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Born Aug. 6, 1947, in Chicago, he died Friday, June 18, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Mr. Sullivan was an active member of the Marine Corp. League, Elk Grove VFW and Palatine American Legion.
Survivors include his children, Michael (Tracey) Sullivan and Sharon Sullivan of North Carolina; and siblings, Daniel (Sandi) Sullivan, Maureen (Chuck) Zarlenga, Jeremiah (Dawn) Sullivan and James Sullivan.

Peter Charles Tatooles of Wauconda
Services for Peter Charles Tatooles, 21, will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 S. Roselle Road, Palatine.
Born April 20, 1978, in Chicago, hedied Saturday, June 19, 1999, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, Ill. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove.
Peter had been a resident of Wauconda for eight years and was a 1996 graduate of Wauconda High School, where he had excelled in track and basketball. Recently he had completed his third year at North Central College in Naperville. Among his special interests, he was an avid fisherman.
He was the beloved son of Charles and Connie (nee Kazakos) Tatooles; dearest brother of Perry Tatooles; cherished grandson of Catherine and the late Perry Kazakos, and Sara and the late Peter J.
Tatooles; dear nephew of John A. (Doris) Tatooles and James P. (the late Helen) Tatooles; and fond cousin of Peter J. (Angela), Kristy, Dean J. and Jennie Tatooles.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda.

Roger W. Toohey of Wheaton
A funeral Mass for Roger W. Toohey, 63, will be celebrated at 1 p. m. Tuesday, at St. Michael Church, West and Illinois Streets, Wheaton. (Please meet at church.) He died Friday, June 18, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Mr. Toohey had been a salesman with Revere Electric Supply Company for 40 years. A resident of Wheaton for 30 years, he was a member of the Wheaton Park District board for 10 years and president of the board from 1983 to 1985. During his tenure, Mr. Toohey negotiated the purchases ofArrowhead Golf Club, Lincoln Marsh and the land from the Rice Foundation where the Rice Pool and Community Center are located. He was also a member of the board of directors of the Illinois Association of Park Districts from 1982to 1987, and president of the board from 1985 to 1986.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Toohey (nee Doherty); loving father of Christopher (Amie), Elizabeth, Michael and Catherine; devoted grandfather of Jaryd and Brandon; and fond brother of Susan Toohey.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p. m. today and from 10 a. m. to noon Tuesday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. (one block east of Naperville Rd.) ,Wheaton.

Loren Wennersten of Round Lake
Services for Loren Wennersten, 83, will be held at 11 a. m. Tuesday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Round Lake Park. Pastor Kent will officiate.
Born March 7, 1916, in Chicago, he passed away Friday, June 18, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Interment will be private.
Mr. Wennersten made his home in Round Lake for more than 58 years. He served in the Army during World War II, with the European campaign. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he served as a trustee.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy (nee Lackey), whom he married on Aug. 26, 1940; daughters, Nancy (John) Sloan of Orange Park, Fla. and Kathleen (R. Scott) Murphy of Woodland, Calif.; sons, Loren R. Wennersten of Round Lake Beach and Darrell (Mickey) Wennersten of Lake Villa; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Wennersten.
Family and friends may visit from 6 to 9 p. m. today, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.
