A funeral Mass for Rose Vittore (nee Priolo), 92, will be held at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday, at St. Celestine Church, Elmwood Park.
Born Nov. 17, 1906, in Italy, she died Saturday, June 19, 1999, at home. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Vito; mother of Nicholas (Adrienne) and Phillip (Kaye) Vittore, and Catherine (David) Flanigan; sister of Mary Passentino and Catherine Priolo, and the late Sam, Joseph (Louise), Ross (Marie) and Vincenzo Priolo; grandmother of three; and great-grandmother of two.

Ricardo Barrett of Elgin
Services for Ricardo Barrett, 48, will be held at 1 p. m. Thursday, at Living Gospel Church of God in Christ in Elgin.
Born Feb. 4, 1951, in Elgin, to Robert and Elliant (nee West) Barrett, he passed away Friday, June 18, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Interment will be private.
A lifelong resident of Elgin, Mr. Barrett was a member of Living Gospel Church of God in Christ and a former Elgin police officer. Most recently he was employed for Arthur Anderson Consulting. A veteran, Mr. Barrett had served in the
Army in Germany.
Survivors include his daughter, Rhiannon Barrett of Elgin; son, R. David Barrett of Arizona; grandson, Xavier Medina of Elgin; parents, Robert and Elliant Barrett; sisters, Jante Evon Cox of Wisconsin, Bobbie Graves of Elgin and Shawana Barrett of Chicago; and brothers, Mervin Barrett of Elgin and Chauncey Barrett of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Terrie Barrett, and nephew, Shawn Barrett.
There will be no visitation.

Gertrude A. Benedetti of Palatine
A funeral Mass for Gertrude A. Benedetti (nee Pollak), 77, will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, at St. Theresa Church, Palatine.
Born March 30, 1922, in Chicago, she died Friday, June 18, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Mrs. Benedetti was a retired executive secretary with 20 years of service for Deluxe Check Printing in Chicago. She was a member of the Rolling Meadows Senior Center.
She was the wife for 57 years of Leo N.; mother of John N. (Mary Jo), Raymond L. and Ronald D. (Lisa) Benedetti; grandmother of John, Michael, Bryan, Leslie and Nathan Benedetti; sister of the late Ida Sommer, and Richard and Henry Pollak.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. today, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows.

Edith M. Bennett of Palatine
Services for Edith M. Bennett (nee Pomrenke), 86, will be held at 11 a. m. Tuesday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Rd., Palatine. She will lie in state from 10 a. m. until the time of the services.
Born Aug. 12, 1912, in Lafe, Ark., she died Friday, June 18, 1999, at Manor Health Care Center in Rolling Meadows.
Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
A 50-year Palatine resident, Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and a life member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (David)Abramson of Palatine; son, Donald (Sharon) Bennett of Fort Myers, Fla.; grandchildren, Scott, Lynn, Todd, Kimberly, Kelly and Katrina; brother, Robert (late Bea) Pomrenke of Bloomington, Ill.; and great-grandchildren, Patrick Joseph, Adam, Erin, Lauren, Drew and Erik.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Bennett; parents, Julius and Bertha Pomrenke; sister, Gertrude Kopp; and brother, Walter Pomrenke.

Born July 6, 1907, in Chicago, he died Friday, June 18, 1999, in Chicago. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Mr. Hartman was a retired captain in the Chicago Police Department. In 1956 he had received the Carter Harris Award for heroic actions in the line of duty.
He was the beloved husband of Frances Hartman (nee Daeger); loving father of John (Yvonne) Hartman of Chicago, David (Judy) Hartman of Mount Prospect, Mary (Edward) Reilly of Mount Prospect, and Thomas (Barbara) Hartman of Prospect Heights; proud grandfather of Michael, Michele, Kimberly, Jennifer, Daniel and Brian; great-grandfather of Quinn, Kelly and Michael; and brother of Bluette Kirchoff of San Francisco, Calif., and the late Louis Hartmann, Aline Henderson and Elsie Jacobs.

Anne Duich of North Chicago
A funeral Mass for Anne Duich, 82, will be celebrated at 11 a. m. Tuesday,at Queen of Peace Church, 14th and Lincoln Street, North Chicago.
Born June 14, 1917, in North Chicago, she died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at the Winchester House, Libertyville. Interment will follow the services, in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
A lifelong resident of North Chicago, Anne had retired from Fansteel Metallurgical after 25 years of service. She was a member of Holy Family and Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the Catholic Foresters Women's Group, and the Croatian Cultural Center.
Surviving are her brother, George Duich of North Chicago; niece, Terrie (Bill) Morrissey of Gurnee; and greatnieces, Debbie Morrissey of Gurnee and Michelle Morrissey of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary (nee Styrmatich) Duich; brother, John Duich; and sister, Mary Zorc.
Visitation will be from 10 a. m. until the time of Mass at 11 a. m. Tuesday, at the church.

Betty M. Gastorf of Willow Lake Estates, Elgin

Born Feb. 19, 1924, in Chicago, the daughter of Robert and Mae (nee Prassel) Miller, she died Saturday, June 19, 1999, at Sherman Hospital. Burial will be private.
She was a resident of the Willow Lake Estates area for the past 10 years, Mrs. Gastorf was very fond of square dancing and was a former member of the Happy Twirlers Square Dancers Club.
Surviving is her loving husband and friend of 54 years, Robert A. Gastorf, whom she married on Feb. 17, 1945. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Bonnie (John) Whiting of Tyler, Texas, William (Patricia) Gastorf of Athens, Ill.
and Bert (Deborah) Gastorf of Green Bay, Wis. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steve Whiting, Stacey (Joshua) Foster, Trent, Holly, Robin, Benjamin and Derek Gastorf; brother, Robert (Patricia) Miller of Park Ridge;and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Hachtel was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of East Dundee.

Hachtel of West Dundee; granddaughters, Cindy (Doug) Morrison of Hampshire and Susan (Mark) Heining of Prior Lake, Minn.; grandson, Bradley (Laurie) Hachtel of Phoenix, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Joel, Abbey and Luci Morrison, and Katie, Mollie and Scott Heining; and many nieces and nephews.
She waspreceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles G. `Chick' Hachtel, whom she married Sept. 14, 1929 and whopreceded her Feb. 21, 1990; brothers, Charles, William, Clarence, Frank and Roy Meier; and sisters, Rose Hagenow and Emma Scheer.
