A memorial service for Mignon L. Foss (nee Lindquist), 82, of Bensenville, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at First United Methodist Church, 232 S. York Road, Elmhurst. The Rev. Berty Hakeem will officiate.
She passed away Sunday, June 13, 1999, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Foss had been a resident of Bensenville for 40 years and previously had lived in Chicago for 42 years.
She was the beloved wife for 40 years of the late Robert Foss; loving mother of David (Sharon) Foss and Judith (Ray) Bieze; proud grandmother of Aaron, Brian, Becky, Raymond and Robert; great-grandmother of Tatiana; and devoted sister of Charles and Carol (Al) Johnson.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Road (three blocks north of North Avenue), Elmhurst.

Evelyn Genisio of Arlington Heights
Services for Evelyn Genisio (nee Kundert), 77, formerly of Des Plaines, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Born April 3, 1922, in Chicago, she died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at home. Intermentwill be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
She was the wife of Philip Genisio; mother of Ron (Karen) Genisio; and grandmother of Mike (Vanessa) Genisio and Ben Genisio.

Baldwin K. `Winn' Jacob
Graveside services for Baldwin K. `Winn' Jacob, 70, of Vero Beach, Fla., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
Born Aug. 2, 1928, in Hackensack, N. J., he died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at his home, following a prolonged illness.
Mr. Jacob was the retired executive vice president of marketing for the Modine Manufacturing Company. He had moved to Vero Beach 10 years ago from Racine, Wis.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Chris Jacob (nee Gies); sons, James Jacob of Algonquin and Michael Jacob of Racine; and three grandchildren.

Cecelia M. Janik of Plainfield
Services for Cecelia M. Janik (nee Morvay), 81, formerly of Chicago and Westmont, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 309 Joliet Road, Plainfield, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 129 S. Born March 18, 1918, in Chicago, she died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at Lakewood Nursing Center, Plainfield. Interment will be in St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Plainfield.
Mrs. Janik had been a resident of Plainfield since 1990 and had attended St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church of Plainfield. Prior to that she had been a resident of Westmont from 1971 to 1990.
An avid Cubs fan, she was known to watch two televisions at one time so she wouldn't miss the game.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Maurice) Wilson of Peoria, Ariz.; son, Rick (Sue) Janik of Plainfield; grandchildren, Kelli (Shawn) Campbell of Salado, Texas, Michelle (Chad) Verna of Peoria, Ariz., Kristie Wilson of Peoria, Ariz., Richard (Chris) Janik of North Liberty, Iowa, and Marcie Janik of Plainfield; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Cassie and Kaley Campbell, Dillion Verna, and Timmy and Aubry Wilson; sisters, Sr.
Magdalita Morvay of Louisville, Ohio, and Gerry (Jim) Sellers of Gila Bend, Ariz.; and brothers, Ray Morvay of Cary and Frank (Gloria) Morvay of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Janik, in May 1998; and her parents, Frank and Stella Morvay.

Born June 9, 1928, in Chicago, she died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at Hampton Plaza Nursing Home, Niles. Interment will follow the services.
A homemaker, she was the wife of Merle Kelly of Round Lake Park; mother of Brian (Connie) Kelly and Dawn (Charles) Burke, both of Round Lake Park; and 10 grandchildren.

Beatrice M. `Bea' Krippner of Arlington Heights
Services for Beatrice M. `Bea' Krippner, 71, formerlyof Ingleside, will begin with prayers at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Raymond Catholic Church, 301 S. Born Nov. 30, 1927, in Ingleside, she died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Burial will be at 1 p.m., in St. Bede Cemetery, Grand Avenue and Wilson Road, Ingleside.
Ms. Krippner was a dedicated Lake County school teacher for almost 25 years in Mundelein School District #75, until illness forced her to retire. She had her master's degree in education from Northern Illinois University and had enjoyed traveling and studying in many parts of the world. Bea was a member (retired) of the IEA and the Retired Teachers Association of Lake County. She enjoyed the manyfriendships she made through teaching and her hobbies of genealogy, studying French, and photography. She had devoted many hours of the last several years towards encouraging other cancer patients.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Anna Krippner, the former owners of Charley's Corner in Ingleside; dear sister of Geraldine `Gerry' (Ralph) Spears of Prospect Heights; and fond aunt of Rory Spears of Prospect Heights and Reid (Stacey) Spearsof Streamwood. She is also survived by many other close relatives.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Frances E. Nilsson of Elk Grove Village
Services for Frances E. Nilsson (nee Clark), 84, will be heldat 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village.
Born in Kankakee, she died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at her home. Interment will be private, in Acacia Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Nilsson had been a resident of Elk Grove Village for 35 years. She had worked as a school bus driver for 20 years for District 214 and Clearbrook, prior to her retirement, and was also the former owner of Harry's Snack Bar in Elk Grove Village. She was a member of the Bucks and Does Square Dance Club and the Elk Grove Senior Center.
She was the beloved wife of the late Harry E. Nilsson, who died in 1988; loving mother of Ronald E. (Frances) Nilsson, Joanne M. (Richard) Armstrong and Marlene E. (Dennis) Migasi; dear sister of Mary (Jim) Pullen, Beatrice Martin, Jean Neal and the late Gerald and Jimmy Clark; cherished grandmother of 14; great-grandmother of 17; and great-great-grandmother of one.

Elmer Joseph Nothnagel
Services for Elmer Joseph Nothnagel, 91, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles.
Born March 2, 1908, Mr. Nothnagel entered eternity on Sunday, June 13, 1999.
Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
The first born child of Joseph and Helen (nee Katt) Nothnagel, he was a lifelong resident of the Chicago area. He was an active member of several Lutheran Churches, including St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church on Montrose Ave. for 20 years. Mr. Nothnagel started his employment as a baker and eventually owned his own bakery, Palmer Bakery in 1941.
He continued his career as a maintenance engineer at Lutheran High School North, where he retired after 20 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Dorothy Dorman and Ruth McCarty; brother, Gerhardt (Eleanor) Nothnagel of California; grandchildren, Linda (Don) Smith, Ken (Diane) Dorman, Bob (Kim) Dorman, Karen (Joe) Mika and Glen Dorman; and great-grandchildren, Rachel, Robin and Rebecca Smith, Amanda and Melissa Mika, and Kelly, Jennifer, Robert and Matthew Dorman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Eleanor (nee Winkelhake); brothers-in-law, Earl McCarty and Herbert Dorman; siblings, Stuart, Russell and Lillian; and best friend and grandchild, John McCarty.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the services today, at the funeral home.

William E. O'Brien formerly of Dundee and Elgin
A memorial Mass for William E. O'Brien will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 845 West Main St., West Dundee.
Mr. O'Brien of Naples, Fla., died Thursday, March 18, 1999.
Born in Boston, Mass., hereceived a B. A. degree from Boston College, class of 1925, and an M. E. degree from New York University in 1933. Hewas a winter resident of Naples since 1974 and a permanent resident since August 1989.
Mr. O'Brien was employed by the Toastmaster Division of McGraw Edison Company, retiring in 1958, as vice president of sales and advertising. Hewas very active in the Elgin community having served as a director of the Association of Commerce, general chairman of the Community Chest, president of Catholic Charities, and president of Elgin Country Club. During his businesscareer, he was vice president and director of National Housewares Manufacturers Association and director of National Electric Manufacturers Association.
In 1958 he became president of Sunbeam Electric Puerto Rico, San Juan, Puerto Rico until the company was dissolved in 1965. Returning to Elgin, he served as executive director of the Economic Development Commission from 1967 to 1969.
Mr. O'Brien was a founder and chairman of The Anvil Club in Dundee. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples and Wyndemere Country Club, a Paul Harris Fellowof Rotary International, BPOE 2010 (Elks), former member of the Union League Club in Chicago, Berwin Country Club, Dorado Beach Club of Puerto Rico and president of the Elgin Country Club.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Patricia Ann Moylan of Encino, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Since his death, his sister, Katherine Marston of Belfast, Maine, has died.
He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 67 years, Irene; and brother, Paul S. O'Brien of Baton Rouge, La.
Edward J. O'Dowd of Naperville
Prayers for Edward J. O'Dowd, 85, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 1215 Modaff Rd., Naperville Rev. William Donnelly will officiate.
Born April 4, 1914, in Chicago, he died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
Mr. O'Dowd grew up in the St. Gabriel Parish neighborhood on Chicago's south side. He graduated from Engelwood High School and then served in the
Army stationed in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. O'Dowd was a 38-year resident of the St. Dennis Parish neighborhood in Chicago where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus COuncil #1135 and the Veterans of Foreign War Post #9912. Mr. O'Dowd was last employed by Fannie MaeCandy Company in Chicago and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
He moved to Naperville five years ago and resided at Independence Village. He was also a member of St. Raphael Church. An enthusiastic baseball fan, he loved the Chicago White Sox.
Survivors include his son, Terrance M. `Terry' (Marjorie) O'Dowd of Naperville; grandchildren, Kymberly, Brian and Kevin O'Dowd of Naperville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (nee Griffin) O'Dowd, in 1971; infant son, Edward O'Dowd; sisters, Viola Schuble and Margaret `Sis' Bowan; brother, Thomas O'Dowd; and parents, Joseph and Hannah O'Dowd.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
