Thyra Jean Chamerlik formerly of Schaumburg
Services for Thyra Jean Chamerlik (nee Friedman), 78, of Aurora, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village.
Born in Chicago, she died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at Kenosha Memorial Hospital, Kenosha, Wis. Interment will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside.
Mrs. Chamerlik had retired after 17 years of service for the J. C. Penney Company at the Woodfied store.
She was the wife of the late William C. Chamerlik, who died in 1997; mother of William S. (Erin) Chamerlik and Sandra (Roger) Chamerlik-Dean; and grandmother of Carly and Paige Chamerlik, and Eric Dean.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Guy Joseph Colby of Skokie
A funeral Mass for Guy Joseph Colby, 58, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 8100 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.
Born July 6, 1940, in Chicago, he died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Interment will be private.
An encoder operator for Higgins Printing Company, he is survived by his wife, Marie (nee Ziegler); sons, Guy C. and Thomas J.; brothers, George, Dave (Carol), Art (Judy), Frank and Tony (Jan); and sisters, Nancy (Bob) Lullo, Therese (Jim) Smyth and Kitty (Joe) Taylor.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Haben Funeral Home, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Kristine M. Culbertson of Mundelein
Prayers for Kristine M. Culbertson (nee Hill), 47, formerly of the Edison Park community of Chicago, will be said at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at M. J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago.
Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Harlem and Talcott Aves., Chicago.
Born Dec. 11, 1951, in Chicago, she died Friday, June 11, 1999, at Condell Medical Center. Burial will be inAll Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
A homemaker, she was the wife for 25 years of Joey Culbertson; mother of AshleyMorgan and Rebecca Morgan Culbertson of Mundelein; daughter of Sydney J. and the late Lorraine Hill of Edison Park; sister of Steven Hill of Norwood Park; lifelong friend of Rae Knight; and daughter-in-law of Bobby Culbertson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Richard H. Davis formerly of Arlington Heights
Funeral services for Richard H. Davis, 77, of Des Plaines, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights.
Born Dec. 4, 1921, in Dodgeville, Wis., he died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at Holy Family Healthcare Center, Des Plaines.
Burial will be private, in Oak Grove Cemetery, Jerseyville, Ill.
Mr. Davis was a retiredpurchasing agent for Kelso-Burnett Electrical Company of Rolling Meadows. A veteran, he had served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater and the China Sea.
He was a member and past master (1971) of Arlington Heights Lodge 1162 A. F. & A. M. and a life member of the National Welsh Foundation.
He was the beloved husband of the late June Davis (nee Ringhausen), who died in 1984; cherished son of the late Henry Davis and Elizabeth (nee Thomas) Davis; dear brother of Enid Luetscher and the late Dorothy Dow and J. Walter Davis; brother-in-law of Virginia (Les)Drenth; and fond uncle of one niece and five nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Olga G. Douglas of Des Plaines
Services for Olga G. Douglas (nee Kandler), 82, formerly of Park Ridge, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lee and Thacker Streets, Des Plaines.
Born Nov. 21, 1916, in New York City, N. Y., she died Saturday, June 12, 1999.
Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Mrs. Douglas was a faithful servant of the Lord for 82 years and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was the wife of the late George C. Douglas; mother of Joan (James) Leeney and thelate Karen; and grandmother of Cathy Burwell and Jay Leeney. She was also the dear sister of Ethel (Rit) Wilson and Louise (the late Ray) Gottsleben; and a wonderful, loving aunt and great-aunt.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the church.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Des Plaines, or to a charity of donor's choice.

Henry Dzioba of McHenry
Prayers for Henry Dzioba, 73, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Transfiguration Church, 310 W. Mill St., Wauconda.
Born Nov. 25, 1925, in Poland, he died Friday, June 11, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
A 35-year McHenry resident, Mr. Dzioba was a retired crane operator, having been employed for 25 years at International Harvester.
Survivors include his wife, Alfreda (nee Wiercinski); children, Christopher and Elizabeth; granddaughter, Alyssa; brother, Zdzislaw `Jim' (Josephine); sister, Kristina Gerts; and nephew, Greg.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Paul E. Gardner of Palatine
Services for Paul E. Gardner, 67, will be held at 7:30 p.m. today, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Masonic Services will follow at 8 p.m.
Born July 4, 1931, in Charleston, W. Va., he died Friday, June 11, 1999. Private interment for the family will be inAcacia Park Cemetery.
A 28-year resident of Palatine, Mr. Gardner was a retired pipefitter. He was a past patron of Arlington Heights Chapter #992 O. E. S., and member of the Palatine Lodge #314 A. F. & A. M., Medinah Temple A. A. O. N. M. S. of Chicago and the V. F. W. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Joanell J. (nee Wetmore) Gardner of Palatine; son, Lance Edward Gardner of Palatine; sister, Olive (late Edward) Kincaid of Baltimore, Md.; and uncle of Betty Joan Sherrett, Kay Maurer and Linda Christian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Buelah Gardner; two brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the services today, at the funeral home.

Robert Henry Gerdau of Elgin
Services for Robert Henry Gerdau, 66, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
The Rev. Roger Pollock will officiate.
Born April 30, 1933, in Elgin, the sonof Albert and Meta Wendt Gerdau, he died Friday, June 11, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.
Mr. Gerdau was in the Army, serving in Korea, and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He had beenemployed by Eagle Foods as a meat cutter, retiring in 1998. Bob was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia J. Schuman Gerdau, whom he married in 1955; son, Patrick (Tracy) Gerdau of Elgin; daughter, Georgeann (Michael) Long of St. Charles; grandchildren, Heather and Andrew Gerdau, and Matthew and Emily Long; and mother-in-law, Zita Schuman of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service today, at the church.
Memorials to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin, would be appreciated.

Harvey Grant of Schaumburg
Prayers for Harvey Grant, 82, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Hubert Church.
Born Feb. 21, 1917, in Wahkon, Minn., he died Saturday, June 12, 1999, in Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Mr. Grant was the founder and chairman of Service Stampings of Illinois in Roselle.
He was the husband of Mary (nee Ankenbrandt); father of Michael (Juanita), Lawrence (Lyn), Timothy (Sharon) and the late Frederick (Debbra); grandfather of Katie (Jim) Zay, Lianne, Lori, Tim, Mary, Christopher, Lisa, Andrea, Steve, Cynthia, Amanda and Victoria Grant, and Matthew, Laura, Steve (Astrid) and Brad (Mary Beth) Bessemer; brother of Louise Wahlberg and Anne Jacobson; brother-inlaw of Gladys Grant; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Agnes A. Herrmann of Wheeling
Services for Agnes A. Herrmann (nee Collins), 90, formerly of Chicago, will begin with prayers at 9 a.m. Tuesday, at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave., (two blocks south of Dundee Road), Wheeling, and continue with Mass at 9:30 a.m., at St. Joseph the Worker Church.
Born Dec. 29, 1908, in Chicago, she died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at Claremont Rehabilitation and Living Center, Buffalo Grove. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
A homemaker, she was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Herrmann; loving mother of Robert (Barbara) Herrmann, Barbara (Jack) Langelund, Marilyn (Tom) Feldkamp and Kathleen (Phil) Cline; cherished grandmother of 12; and great-grandmother of nine. She was also the special mother of John Maggi.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Services for Carol A. James (nee Van Buren), 61, of Elgin, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Road, Itasca.
Born March 25, 1938, in Albany, N. Y., she died Friday, June 11, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Gordon James; sons, Gordon James Jr. and Gregory (Susan) James; daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Lampinen and Christine James; brother, E. Wayne (Sue)Van Buren; and sister, Joyce (Andy) Koonz.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Vitas Hospice.
