He was the loving father of Beth (Mark) Koch, Robin Giovenco and Toni (Chris) Harris; loving son of the late Edward and Grace Skehan; dear brother of Laurelle (Chris) Bohn; and fond grandfather of Jeffrey, Samantha, James and Nicholas.

Born July 17, 1936, in Chicago, she passed away Thursday, June 10, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Avon Centre Cemetery, Grayslake.
A resident of the Grayslake area since 1959, she leaves her loving husband, Raymond, whom she wed on Nov. 14, 1959, in Chicago; and daughter, Christine Turek of Ingleside.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lora (neeDrabkowski) Franks.

She was the beloved wife of thelate Charles Villanueva and James Wolf; devoted mother of Mary Ann (Dante) Peluso, LaVerne (Tony) DeStefano, Alberta Esposito and James (Renee) Wolf; dear sister of Mike (Dolores) Fiorino; fond grandmother of 13; and dearest great-grandmother of 16.

Melvin E. `Mel' Zahn of West Chicago
Services for Melvin E. `Mel' Zahn, 75, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sherman and George St., West Chicago. Rev. David P. Balla will officiate.
Born Oct. 21, 1923, in Geneva, he passed away Friday, June 11, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, West Chicago.
A lifelong resident of West Chicago, Mr. Zahn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He retired in 1985 from the DuPage County Highway Department. A veteran, Mr. Zahn served in the
Army Air Corps during World War II in the South Pacific. He was a member of American Legion Post 300 and the Richardt VFW Post 6791, both of West Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie, with whom he would have celebrated their 53rd anniversary on June 29, 1999; daughters, Cindy (Kenneth) Klug of Batavia and Janet (Michael) Perso of Batavia; grandchildren, Michael, Aaron, Dan, Kelli and Kevin; brother, Donald (Marjorie) Zahn of Elburn; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna Zahn; and sisters, Dorothy and Margaret Zahn.

Shirley C. Annear formerly of Libertyville
Services for Shirley C. Annear, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 10 S. Lake St., Mundelein.
Born Nov. 13, 1922, in Bessemer, Mich., she passed away Friday, June 11, 1999, at Southern Texas Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville.
She lived in Libertyville for 40 years, retiring to Hawthorn Lakes in Vernon Hills and San Antonio. She was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and retired from Anchor Coupling in Libertyville. She also had been employed at the First National Bank of Libertyville, Lake Forest Bank and was active in various local arts and craft shows.
Surviving are her son, Thomas Annear Jr. of Round Lake; daughter, Ruth Suzanne (Billy, chief master sergeant USAF ret.) Hester of San Antonio; grandchildren, Brandie (George) Wentworth of Hampton, Va., Jamie Annear of Whitewater, Wis. and Thomas `Richie' Hester of San Antonio; great-grandchildren, Scott, Anthony and Bradley Wentworth; and sisters, Lois Guernsey of Burnsville, Minn. and Alfreda Griffioen of Schoolcraft, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas V. Annear on Dec. 16, 1993; parents, Alvin G. and Ruth (nee Douglas) Dahlgren; and brother, Douglas Dahlgren.

Ancelma Baltazar of Elgin

Born July 26, 1930, in Mexico, she died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Sherman Hospital. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
A member of El Mesias Metosdista, she is survived by her son, Venancio (Nicacio) Salazar of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughters, Eli (Ray) Rodriguez of Elgin, Hortencia (Harry) Lorenzo of Elgin, Julia (Enrique) Jaimes of DeLeon, Fla., Toriba (Nicolas) Alejo of Elgin and Laura Salazar; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Silbestre (Imelda) Baltazar of Elgin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ethel T. Barney of Naperville
A memorial service for Ethel T. Barney (nee Takkunen), 95, a 20-year resident of Naperville and formerly of Oak Park, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, at Charles Court Apartments, 300 N. Charles Court, Naperville, with the Rev. Thomas Babler officiating.
Born Feb. 27, 1904, in Ely, Minn., she died Friday, June 11, 1999, at her home.
Interment will be private.
Mrs. Barney was born and raised in Ely. She came to Chicago in her late teens and received her nursing degree from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago. For some years she was employed as a registered nurse at Presbyterian Hospital. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Barney married her husband, Robert, in 1933 and the couple moved to Oak Park. In the late 1970s she moved to Naperville where she was involved in the Naperville Senior Center and the Christian Science Church.
Surviving are her sons, Roger (Evelyn) Barney of Naperville, Ross Barney of Island Lake and Robert (Barrie) Barney of Daleville, Ind.; grandchildren, Erik Barney, Stephan (Donielle) Barney, Paul Barney, Robert Barney and Barbara (Mark) Paschal; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Barney, who was an attorney for Isham, Lincoln & Beale Law Firm in Chicago; three brothers; and one sister.

Jean S. Bashaw of Geneva

Born Dec. 9, 1925, in Racine, Wis., to Harold and Helma Harcus, she passed away Friday, June 11, 1999, at Provena Pine View Care Center in St. Charles. Interment will be private, in Garfield Cemetery, Campton Township.
Jean was a 1949 graduate of the University of Wisconsin and had worked as a teacher in the Geneva School District for more than 30 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and was very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, never missing any of their activities, especially their sporting events. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Bashaw is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles Bashaw; sons, Bruce (Christine) Bashaw of Batavia, Dave Bashaw of Geneva, Tom Bashaw of Tomah, Wis., and Don (Shana) Bashaw of Naperville; and grandchildren, Ryan, Michael and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Barbara, who passed away in 1989.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St., Geneva, and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the church.

Mr. Borisov was retired from Prudential Life Insurance Company.

Army veteran, Mr. Boyce had served during World War II in the Commandoes and as a glider pilot. Prior to his retirement, he had been a route man for the Wonder Bread Bakers for more than 40 years.
He was the beloved husband of Greta Boyce (nee McCarole); loving father of the late Carole Weinberg; and dear brother of James and Philip Boyce, Fay Wilson, Betty Steckley, Ella Traynor, and the late Mae Wilson and William and Hugh Boyce.
