Charles G. Castle of Wauconda
Services for Charles G. Castle, 70, a resident of Wauconda for 29 years, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda.
Born Sept. 9, 1928, in Saugus, Mass., he died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
Mr. Castle was retired from the United States Environmental Protection Agency after 19 years of service. He was a graduate of Middlebury University with a master's degree in organic chemistry and a member of the American Chemical Society. He was also a member of the Lost Chords Society, Music of the Baroque, and PAACT, and was active with the Boy Scouts. A veteran, he had served in the
Army.
He was the husbandof Vivian `Cappy' Castle (nee Kapuscinski); father of Charles G. Castle Jr., Mary-Sylvia (John) Dahlstrom, Bonnie (Christopher) Leonard and the late Kathleen Johnson; grandfather of Charles G. III and Paula Castle; Scott and Gordon Leonard, and Clair, John and Timothy Dahlstrom; and brother of William Castle.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p. m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Guy Joseph Colby of Skokie
A funeral Mass for Guy Joseph Colby, 58, will be held at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 8100 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.
Born July 6, 1940, in Chicago, he died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Interment will be private.
An encoder operator for Higgins Printing Company, he is survived by his wife, Marie (nee Ziegler); sons, Guy C. and Thomas J. ;brothers, George, Dave (Carol), Art (Judy), Frank and Tony (Jan); and sisters, Nancy (Bob) Lullo, Therese (Jim) Smyth and Kitty (Joe) Taylor.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Monday, at Haben Funeral Home, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.
Mary L. Coonen A memorial service for Mary L. Coonen (nee Lambert) will be held at 7 p. m. Sunday, at St. Andrew Methodist Church, 250 N. Gary, Carol Stream. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Omaha, Neb.
She was the beloved wife of the late J. Howard Coonen; devoted mother of Susan (Paul) Aguilar; fond grandmother of Alexis; loving daughter of Mildred Lambert; and dear sister-in-law of Garey (Gayle) Coonen, Mary Ellen Hogarth and Suzanne Coonen.
A visitation will follow the services at the church.

Donald L. Crop of Mundelein
A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald L. Crop, 67, will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Monday, at Santa Maria del Popolo Church (big church), 116 N. Lake St. (Route 45), Mundelein.
Born Feb. 20, 1932, in Chicago, he died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Interment will followthe Mass, in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mr. Crop had been employed with Commonwealth Edison for 30 years and taught electrical safety for the company.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, sang in the Santa Maria church choir, and was a member of the Village Theater, the Woodstock Musical Theater Company, and PM & L in Antioch.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Crop (nee McBryde); sons, Donald W. (Robin) Crop of Bloomington, Ill., and Stephen (Phyllis) Crop of Wildwood; daughters, Judith Crop of Mundelein and Janet (Charles) Roeske of Round Lake Beach; brothers, Alfred (Rita) Crop of Schaumburg and Eugene (Sharon) Chropkowski of Schiller Park; sister, Florence (Robert) Zielenski of Chicago; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p. m. today and 1 to 6 p. m. Sunday, at Kristan Funeral Home P. C., 219 W. Maple Ave. (Route 176), Mundelein.
B. Florence DuBose of Geneva
Services for B. Florence DuBose, 87, formerly of St. Charles and Paradise, Calif., will be held at noon Monday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. Born Oct. 17, 1911, in Ireland, the daughter of James and May (nee McGuire) Egan, she died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Geneva CareCenter in Geneva. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Evanston.
Mrs. DuBose is survived by by her daughters, Patricia (Sylvester) Wisz of St. Charles and Ruth Ryback of Nevada City, Calif. ;son, James (Doreen) Harrington of Fremont, Calif., 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; daughter, Lucille Henry; and granddaughter, Patricia Wisz.
Visitation will be from 10 a. m. until the time of the services Monday, at the funeral home.

Robert Henry Gerdau of Elgin
Services for Robert Henry Gerdau, 66, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Rev. Roger Pollock will officiate.
Born April 30, 1933, in Elgin, the son of Albert and Meta Wendt Gerdau, he died Friday, June 11, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.
Mr. Gerdau was in the
Army serving in Korea, and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He had been employed by Eagle Foods as a meat cutter, retiring in 1998. Bob was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia J. Schuman Gerdau, whom he married in 1955; son, Patrick (Tracy) Gerdau of Elgin; daughter, Georgeann (Michael) Long of St. Charles; grandchildren, Heather and Andrew Gerdau, and Matthew and Emily Long; and mother-in-law, Zita Schuman of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p. m. Sunday,at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral Chapel, Elgin, and from 9 a. m. until the time of the service Monday, at the church.

Margot Glonke of Beach Park
Funeral services for Margot Glonke (nee Seel), 69, will be held at 10 a. m. today, at Gurnee-Salata Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.
Born Aug. 28, 1929, in Kaiserslautern, Germany, she died Sunday, June 6, 1999, at Kenosha Medical Center. Interment will follow the services, in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mrs. Glonke was a longtime resident of the Beach Park area and was a member of the GermanNational Congress (D. A. N. K).
Margot is survived by her husband of 47 years, Leroy A. Glonke; daughter, Karin (Bob) Gold of Lake in the Hills; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Anna Bates of Park City; brothers, Paul, Hoiner and Herbert in Germany; and many nieces and nephews.
Chester A. Gugala of North Chicago
Services for Chester A. Gugala, 69, will be held at 10:30 a. m. today, at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave., Waukegan.
Born Feb. 25, 1930, in North Chicago, he died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at The Pavilion of Waukegan. Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
A lifelong resident of North Chicago, Mr. Gugala had served in the
Army during the
Korean War. After the war he worked for CycloneFence and later was employed with the Great Lakes Golf Course until he retired.
Chester played minor league baseball for the Chicago White Sox and loved the game of basketball. He was also a member of the North Chicago VFW.
Survivors include his brother, John (Marian) Gugala of Lindenwood; sisters, Alice (John) Germer of Waukegan and Helen (Charles) Hines of Long Beach, Calif. ;seven nieces and nephews; and seven great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise Gugala; and brother, Narcy Gugala.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a. m. until the time of services at 10:30 a. m. today, at the church.

Carol A. James formerly of Itasca
Services for Carol A. James (nee Van Buren), 61, of Elgin, will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Road, Itasca.
Born March 25, 1938, inAlbany, N. Y., she died Friday, June 11, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Gordon James; sons, Gordon James Jr. and Gregory (Susan) James; daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Lampinen and Christine James; brother, E. Wayne (Sue) Van Buren; and sister, Joyce (Andy) Koonz.

A lifelong resident of Des Plaines, Mr. Jonas had been employed at the A. B. Dick Company. He was a member of the Des Plaines Moose and a longtime Little League umpire in Des Plaines.
Survivors include his wife, Cora (nee Clavey); daughters, Joanne (Lester) Stein and Nancy (William) Feezor; sister, Ethel (late Al) Hahn; grandchildren, Laura, Karyn, Wendy, Patrick, Daniel and Beth; andfive great-grandchildren.
