Evelyn S. Baldowsky of the Wheaton/Glen Ellyn area
Services for Evelyn S. Baldowsky (nee Werner), 86, a 39-year resident of the Wheaton-Glen Ellyn area, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton.
Born and raised in Chicago, she died Friday, May 14, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Interment will be in Wheaton Cemetery.
Surviving are her daughter, Lynne (William) McGurr of Wheaton; son, Terry (Roseann) Baldowsky of Harvard; grandchildren, Jason Baldowsky of McHenry and Theresa Baldowsky of Harvard; niece, Judy Werner; nephew, Gerald (Barbara) Werner; and great-niece, Nicole Werner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Baldowsky, and brother, Fred Werner.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Isabell K. Barber of Mundelein
Services for Isabell K. Barber, 67, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at The Lakeland Christian Church on Lemon Rd., Mundelein.
Born Oct. 5, 1931, in Middlesboro, Ky., she died Friday, May 14, 1999, at St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan. Interment will be in Ivanhoe Cemetery.
She had been a resident of Mundelein for three years, formerly of Wheeling. She was a member of The North West Christian Community Church.
Survivors include her children, Lisa (Jeff) Mikos of Bartlett, Brina (Gene) Stiefelmayer of Raleigh, N. C. and Deborah (Michael) Schultz of Mundelein; grandchildren, Jakob and Noah Steifelmayer, Maegan and Jessica Schultz, andBrittany, Kristian and Jeffrey Mikos.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Saundra Barber.

Mary Josephine Curran of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Mary Josephine Curran (nee Gilmore), 86, will be held at 8:45 a.m. Monday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Born June 21, 1912, in Chicago, she died Thursday morning, May 13, 1999, while visiting her family in Wisconsin. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
Mary grew up in the Mont Clare neighborhood on Chicago's northwest side. She went to work at the age of 16 after graduating from Provident High School in Chicago. She worked first as an order clerk and later a buyer for Mutual Wholesale Drug Company, which was owned by the Humiston & Keeling Wholesale Drug Company at the time of her retirement in 1978. She married B. Frank Curran Oct. 30, 1950, in Chicago, and settled in Arlington Heights. She was a member of St. James Women's Club and Our Lady of the Wayside Young at Hearts.
She is survived by her sister, Florence A. (George) Spaeth of Twin Lakes, Wis.; brother, Martin P. Gilmore of Arlington Heights; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her sister, Catherine Gilmore; and two brothers, John and Patrick Gilmore.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Vincenza DeLisi of Wood Dale

She was the beloved wife of the late Giovanni; devoted mother of Antonia (Giuseppe) Ranvestel, Filippo(Dora), Joseph (Nancy) and Mariana (Vincenzo) Ranvestel; dear sister of Gio (Anna) LoGalbo and Mariana Tomasello of Italy; fond grandmother of 10; and great-grandmother of six.

She was the beloved wife of William Dini; loving mother of Melissa (Timothy) Kohlstedt; devoted grandmother of William; and dear sister of Geraldine (Tom) Simonsen, Linda (John) Schulz and Kathy (Richard) Klugger.

A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Oscar, he preceded her in death in 1955; mother of NeilErickson and Bruce (Candice) Erickson; sister of Martha (late George) Carlson and the late Delphe (late Bert) Olson; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Marcella `Marcy' Goodman of Skokie
Services for Marcella `Marcy' Goodman (nee Fefer), 82, a resident of Skokie since 1954, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church Street), Skokie.
She died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at Village Nursing Home in Skokie. Interment will be in Jewish Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside.
Mrs. Goodman was a graduate of John Marshall High School in Chicago, received her bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago and her master's degree from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, and studied at the Balatka Academy of Musical Art in Chicago, where she earned her piano, music theory and harmony, and music teaching certificates. She had worked for the New York Life Insurance Company since 1956 as an agent and registered representative and in 1976 was awarded the status of Senior NYLIC, a position achieved by only a handful of women across the United States. She was also co-owner of Goodman Subscription Service, executive director of the Family and Children's Services of Proviso Township and a lecturer at the Association for Family Living. In addition, Mrs. Goodman was elected in 1995 as a trustee of the Skokie Public Library. She was fascinated with psychic phenomena and lectured on the mystic and the occult. She also loved to write, was published in several anthologies, and participated in the Skokie Creative Writers Association and the Trident College Creative Writers Group. At the age of 70, Mrs. Goodman completed the necessary classes to become a hypnotherapist and was active for several years in the local chapter of the American Association of Ethical Hypnosis.
Among her achievements, Mrs. Goodman was listed in the 1978 edition of the `World's Who's Who of Women, ' and in the 1976-1977 edition of `Marquis Who's Who of American Women,' and was honored as a Notable American. She was also a volunteer at the Mayer Kaplan Jewish Community Center from 1980 to 1986 and at the Leaning Tower YMCA for two years prior to building construction.
Mrs. Goodman was a member of the Niles Township Jewish Congregation and the Maine Township Jewish Congregation, and was a founding member of Temple Judea.
She was the beloved wife of the late Melville N. Goodman, who preceded her in 1971; devoted mother of Robert Arthur (Deborah) Goodman of Libertyville; loving grandmother of RachaelBeth and Michelle Lynn Goodman; cherished daughter of the late Charles David and Ruth Frederick Fefer; dear sisterof Natalie; and dear aunt of Douglas, Arthur, Deborah, Susan, Patty and the late Melissa.
Visitation will be from5 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the chapel.

Richard Allan Grom formerly of Barrington
A memorial service for Richard Allan Grom, 56, will be heldat 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Bethel Baptist Church, 200 N. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg.
Mr. Grom died unexpectedly on Friday, May 14, 1999, at the Christian League in Walworth, Wis. Burial will be private.
Richard was born a dwarf and conquered his handicap by leaving a legacy of courage and determination to all who knew him. At BCHS Richard was exposed to the theater department and was encouraged to follow an acting career. He attended the Goodman Theater in the early 1960s and was featured in many children's plays. He was best known as the feature role in Puss N Boots which was also shown on Chicago television.
While a student at Goodman, he played the role of Cousin Lymon in Ballad of the Sad Cafe and also appeared in the professional engagement of this play produced in Memphis, Tenn. and Cleveland, Ohio.
After finishing his studies at Goodman, he was appearing in Cafe Parisian at the Candlelight Theater in Summit, Ill. While driving home after a performance, Richard had an automobile accident that rendered him paralyzed. He then attended Southern Illinois University where he completed studies and received his bachelor of arts degree. Richard spent many years working in Lake Forest at Grove School and was selected by Warner Saunders as one of the `People You Should Know' in his television feature. After leaving Grove School, Richard felt the Lord had a course for him to follow which led him to Bob Jones University in Greenville, S. C., where on May 9, 1999, he received his bachelor of science degree in special education. Richard's faith kept him focused on receiving his degree and with the aid of caring and loving Bob Jones University students and faculty he was able to complete his dream. Because of his untimely death, he was unable to continue his teaching career, however, he brought an awareness to the needs of the handicapped to the University and his attendance paved the way for future handicapped persons.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Marian and Bud Bragg of Florida; sister, Duenna (Roger) Hicks of Wheaton; brother, Duanne (Buck) Grom of New Jersey; half brothers, Robert and William; half sister, Barbara (Scott) McClarity; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and special friends, Tom and Jeanne Pettry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Grom; and grandmother, Minnie Grom.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Stirlen-Pieper & Davenport Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington.

John D. Healy Jr. of Elgin
A memorial Mass for John D. Healy Jr., 80, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. The Rev. Richard Russo will officiate.
Born Jan. 1, 1919, in St. Louis, Mo., to John and Nora (nee Hennessy) Healy, he passed away Friday, May 14, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be private, in Rock Island National Cemetery.
A resident of Elgin since 1980, John had worked for the U. S. Department of Defense prior to his retirement. He was a January 1943 graduate of West Point Academy and served in Europe during World War II. He was awarded the Comm Ribbon, the EAME Medal, the American Theater Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Croix de Guerre, the AOM (Germany and Japan), the National Defense Service Medal, and the 1st Oak Leaf Cluster for the Comm Ribbon.
Mr. Healy was also a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church of Elgin.
Surviving are his daughters, Mary (Kenneth) Mocko of Elgin, Patricia (Anthony) Marshall of Seattle, Wash., Eileen (Walter) Fong of Seattle, and Virginia (Dean) Shea of Richardson, Texas; sons, John Healy of Chicago, Michael (Jacqueline) Healy of Brier, Wash., Brian (Diane) Healy of South Bend, Ind., and James Healy of Seattle; sister, Mae Leatherburg of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary K. Healy, in 1996; and sister, Virginia Simpson.
There will be no visitation.
