Mary Josephine Curran of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Mary Josephine Curran (nee Gilmore), 86, will be held at 8:45 a.m. Monday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. A 9:30 a.m. Mass will follow at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 431 S. Mitchell Ave., Arlington Heights.
Born June 21, 1912, in Chicago, she died Thursday morning, May 13, 1999, while visiting her family in Wisconsin. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
Mary grew up in the Mont Clare neighborhood on Chicago's northwest side. She went to work at the age of 16 after graduating from Provident High School in Chicago. She worked first as an order clerk and later a buyer for Mutual Wholesale Drug Company, which was owned by the Humiston & Keeling Wholesale Drug Company at the time of her retirement in 1978. She married B. Frank Curran Oct. 30, 1950, in Chicago, and settled in Arlington Heights. She was a member of St. James Women's Club and Our Lady of the Wayside Young at Hearts.
She is survived by her sister, Florence A. (George) Spaeth of Twin Lakes, Wis.; brother, Martin P. Gilmore of Arlington Heights; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her sister, Catherine Gilmore; and two brothers, John and Patrick Gilmore.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Helen C. Dunham
Services for Helen C. Dunham (nee Cartwright), 93, of Hickory Hills, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Holy Apostles Church, 91st Street and 82nd Avenue, Hickory Hills.
Born Dec. 29, 1905, in Fort Wayne, Ind., she died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at Abbington Nursing Center in Roselle.
Burial will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.
A homemaker, Mrs. Dunham was also the former program director of the Hickory Hills Seniors Club for 20 years. She was an active member of Holy Apostles Church and the St. Patricia Seniors Club, a volunteer forthe American Cancer Society, the Red Cross and the Blood Donor Drive, and a member of the Palos Township Seniors Board.
She was the beloved wife of the late William Harold Dunham; loving mother of Robert (Evy) Cloonan of Allentown, Pa., Matthew (Patricia) Dunham of Croydon, Pa., Jeanne (Daniel) Murphy of Hoffman Estates and Doris (William) Kelly of Plainfield; dear sister of Paul (Amanda) Cartwright of Villa Park; cherished grandmother of 16; and great-grandmother of 30.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Hills Funeral Home, Ltd., 10201 S. Roberts Road (8000W), Palos Hills.

Anna Dziekanski-Tkacz of Prairie View
Chapel prayers for Anna Dziekanski-Tkacz (nee Hausiuk), 48, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road (one block north of Lake-Cook Road), Buffalo Grove, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Mary Church.
Born in Poland, she died Friday, May 14, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Interment will be Maryhill Cemetery.
She was an employee of D & K International of Elk Grove Village, where she worked as a network administrator.
She was the wife of Richard Tkacz; mother of Andy (Bonnie) and T. J. (Amanda) Dziekanski and Brenda Tkacz; sister of Hank (Kristina) Hasiuk; and grandmother of Sadie Dziekanski.

Ralph W. Eilers of Palatine
Memorial services for Ralph W. Eilers, 69, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Rd., Palatine.
Born Aug. 3, 1929, in Hinsdale, hedied Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
Since 1968, Mr. Eilers had been a resident of Palatine, and an elder and very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Palatine.
Survivors include his wife, Marijean A. Eilers of Palatine; stepchildren, Richard J. Bacon of New York and Carol B. Kelso of Georgia; stepgrandchildren, Jared, Rachel and Anna Kelso of Georgia; mother, Irene Eilers (nee Kolb) of Arlington Heights; and brother, Mark Eilers of Arizona.
A memorial visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday, May 22, at the church.

Betty Hogrewe of Elgin

Mrs. Hogrewe had been employed by Chicago Rawhide. She wasa member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxillary Aerie 1047 of the Eagles.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Baxter of Elgin; three grandchildren, Adam, Cassondra and Derek; and one great-grandson, Justyn Morton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence W. Hogrewe, whom she married in 1951 and who preceded her in death in 1986; son, William C. Hogrewe, who passed away in 1980; two brothers, Martin and Robert; and a sister, Louise Reese.

Born in Linden, Wis., he died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Interment will be private, in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mr. Kelly had retired after 45 years as partner and president of the Flinn & Dreffein Engineering Company in Northbrook. He was a member of the North American Manx Society.
He was the beloved husband for 60 years of Mary P. Kelly (nee Phelps); loving father of Thomas (Wendy) Kelly, Jane L. Russell and Nancy E. (William) Bruchert; proud grandfather of Kelly (Charles) Jarmuth, Shannon (Jeffrey) Szukala, Colleen Kelly, Christopher Kelly, Kristie (Tom) McDonald and Jeffrey Hagan; great-grandfather of Ashley and C. J. Jarmuth, and Megan McDonald; and dear brother of the late Gertrude Reilly.

William E. Kick formerly of Libertyville
Funeral services for William E. Kick, 83, will be heldat 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville.
Born June 6, 1915, in Libertyville, he passed away Thursday, May 13, 1999, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment will follow the services in Lakeside Cemetery.
Mr. Kick lived in Libertyville for his entire life until 1991, when he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to be near his son and family. He was a veteran of the
Army, having served in the European Theatre during WorldWar II with the 82nd Airborne Division, and was awarded the Purple Heart as a result of wounds he received on D-Day. Bill was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Gurnee, and before his retirement in 1976, was employed by the Hough Company in Libertyville.
Surviving are his son, Edward (Jacqueline) Kick and his grandchildren, Ashlee and Andrew William Kick, all of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Sidney (Laura) Kick and Arthur (Isabelle) Kick Jr., both ofLibertyville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kick, on Oct. 26, 1976; and by three brothers, Clifford (the late Leone), Frederick (Jean) and Harry (Norma).

Mr. Luth was a retired insurance salesman. He was a member of the International Order of Foresters.
Surviving are his children, Gary, David and Karl (Kelly) Luth and Laura (Joe) Ramello; grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael Ramello, David and Stephanie Luth, and Mark and Matthew Luth; and former spouse Mary (Ray) Miller.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert and Robert Luth.

Gail A. Maloney of Hampshire
A Mass of Christian Burial for Gail A. Maloney, 46, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Hampshire. The Rev. Thomas Brantman will officiate.
Born May 4, 1953, in Chicago, to Richard and Mae (nee Parsons) Goggin, she died Friday, May 14, 1999, at her home, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Cremation will follow the services.
Gail had married John T. Maloney III on April 20, 1972, in Wheaton. The couple resided in Hanover Park for five years and later moved to Carpentersville where they lived for 16 years. For the past six years they had been Hampshire residents.
Gail was always involved in her children's activities, from serving on the board of the Carpentersville Little League to being a well-traveled `hockey mom.' She had also been employed for 16 years by Knowles Electronics of Elgin.
Surviving are her husband, John; mother, Mae Goggin of Elgin; children, James Maloney IV of Gainesville, Ga., and Brian, Mark, Erin and David Maloney, all at home; brothers, Michael Goggin and Patrick Goggin, both of Elgin; sister, Cathleen (Roger) Rabe of Gainesville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1995.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire.
