Marion Parsons of Des Plaines
Services for Marion Parsons (nee Wilson), 69, will begin with prayers at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday, at G. L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines, and continue with Mass at 11 a. m. at St. Mary Church, Des Plaines.
Born Oct. 14, 1929, in Evanston, she died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, in Des Plaines. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
Mrs. Parsons was a devoted mother and also had a great love for animals.
She was the loving mother of Charles (Jamie) Brennen, Joseph (Eileen) Parsons and Gina Parsons; cherished grandmother of Olivia and Samuel Parsons; dear sister of Richard (Gloria) Wilson, Dona (the late James) Roper and the late James (Eleanor) and Roy (Emily) Wilson; and dear owner of Blue and Buddy (her pets).
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Felines Inc. of Chicago or to the American Diabetes. Association.

Catherine R. Phelan, 85, of Elgin, died Friday, Jan. 1. Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, (847) 741-8800.

Lorraine F. Ply (nee Lubinski), 67, of Addison, died Friday, Jan. 1. Arrangements were made by Humes Funeral Home, Addison, (630) 628-8808.

Charles N. Poellien of Rolling Meadows
Services for Charles N. Poellien, 63, will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
Born Feb. 11, 1935, in Chicago, he died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
A resident of Rolling Meadows for 35 years, Mr. Poellien was a retired police commander for the Rolling Meadows Police Department. He was also a veteran, having served in the Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Betty Poellien; sons, Robert (Susan) Nixon and William (Donna) Nixon; grandchildren, Emily, William, Robert Jr. and Timothy; brother, Jack Poellien; and mother-in-law, Alice Rudin.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Janice I. Prill of Winfield
Funeral services for Janice I. Prill, 69, will begin at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday at Williams-Woodward Funeral Home, Route 59 and Pine Street, West Chicago, and continue to St. John the Baptist Church, 298 Church St., Winfield, IL 60185, for a 10 a. m. Mass.
Mrs. Prill, a 50-year resident of Winfield, was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Winfield Fire Department and St. John the Baptist Church.
She was the beloved wife of Carl; dear mother of Dennis A., John C., Donald P., David P. (Julie) and Charlotte M. Prill-Stark; cherished grandmother of 15; great-grandmother of four; and loving sister of William (Judy) MacIntosh and Jacklyn Johnson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Virginia Rambo of Elgin
Services for Virginia Rambo, 79, of Elgin, will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin.
Born Feb. 6, 1919, in St. Louis, Mo., to Frank and Julia (neeSawmiller) Rodamocker, she died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be private.
Survivors include her daughters, Julia Case of Union, Ill., Virginia (James) Etherton of Kentucky and June (Charles) Walker of Elgin; son, Lee Rambo of Elgin; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Rambo; one grandson; one sister; and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 9 a. m. until the time of services at 10 a. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Catherine A. Reschke of Des Plaines
A funeral Mass for Catherine A. Reschke (nee Sullivan), 90, will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Wednesday, at St. Mary Church, Des Plaines.
Born March 10, 1908, in Janesville, Wis., shedied Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at Rush Northshore Hospital. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
A resident of Des Plaines for 20 years, Mrs. Reschke was formerly employed as a clerical worker in the insurance industry for 15 years.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert H. Reschke; loving mother of David G. Reschke of Des Plaines, Margaret A. Phillips of Evanston and Cecelia Reschke of Des Plaines; cherished grandmother of Laura M. and Jennifer D. Phillips; and dear sister of Francis (Agnes) Sullivan of Janesville and Margaret O'Day of Columbia, Neb.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Zenon Rosa of Mount Prospect
Services for Zenon Rosa, 47, will be held at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights.
Born Jan. 22, 1951, in Germany, he died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mr. Rosa had been employed as a customer service representative for Lucent Technologies. He was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, having worked at several of their charitable fundraisers.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Rosa (nee Joseph), whom he married May 4, 1978; brothers and sister, Zygmunt (Patricia) Rosa, Thaddeus Rosa and Lucy (Dean) DiBartolomeo; mother-inlaw, Mildred Joseph; brother-in-law, John Joseph Jr.; sister-in-law, Judy (Wilbur) Hutchinson; and nieces and nephews, Mark (April) and Eric Hutchinson, Jonathan and Nicholas Rosa, and Angela, Gianna, Gabrielle and Dillon DiBartolomeo.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Donald E. Rosborough formerly of Elgin
Services for Donald E. Rosborough, 76, most recently of Richland Center, Wis., will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. The Rev. Edward Davis will officiate.
Born Jan. 1, 1922, in Elgin, to John and Mabel (nee Johnson) Rosborough, he died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, in Richland Center. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery on Highland Avenue in Elgin.
Mr. Rosborough had been a resident of Elgin for most of his life before moving to Richland Center. He was employedas a parts man for the Ford dealers in the Elgin area and was also employed for 20 years with the Illinois Toll Road. He also farmed in the Elgin area before retiring.
Mr. Rosborough was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Marine Corps, and was a member of VFW Post 2267 in Richland Center. He was also a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pingree Grove and a member of the Farm Bureau in Kane County and Richland County.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Rosborough (nee Daus); daughter, Donna (Mark) Schlechtman of Fair Field, Iowa; son, Michael (Ellen) Rosborough of Stoddard, Wis.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Irene Steinmeyer, Myrtle (William) Schramm and Walter (Lucille) Rosborough, all of Elgin; and daughter-in-law, Susan Rosborough of Oak Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Eugene Rosborough; brother, Earl Rosborough; and sisters, Dorothy Sarafolean and Elizabeth Schmeck.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral home.

Grace Schmidt of Fox Lake
Services for Grace Schmidt (nee Farrell), 66, formerly of the Wauconda and Lake Zurich area, will be held at 11 a. m. Thursday, at Fox Lake Baptist Church, 27430 W. Nippersink Road, Ingleside. Family and friends should meet at the church.
Born Jan. 18, 1932, in Chicago, to John and Caroline (nee Harmes) Farrell, she died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at her home. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery, Ingleside, following the services.
Mrs. Schmidt was a homemaker and a member of Fox Lake Baptist Church in Ingleside.
Survivors include herhusband, Gordon Schmidt; sons, John Schmidt of Fox Lake, Sgt. Joseph (Kelly) Schmidt of Dakar, Africa, and Kenneth (Michelle) Schmidt of Fox Lake; daughters, Beth (John) Gundlach of Lake Zurich, Charlotte Joyner of Goosecreek, S. C., Amy (Vince) Serio of Cary and Doris (Scott) Kennebeck of Johnsburg, Ill.; brother, Bud (Dorothy) Farrell of Chicago; sisters, Muriel Vaughn, Betty Burke, Lillian Allen, Doris Divine and Helen Lopez, all of the Chicagoland area; and many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Art and Willard Farrell.
Friends are invited to call from 3 to 7:30 p. m. Wednesday, at the K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home (the Chapel on the Lake), 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake, and from 10:30 a. m. until the time of services at 11 a. m. Thursday, at the church.

Donn B. Springer of Vernon Hills Memorial services for Donn B.
Springer, 47, will be held at 1 p. m. today, at A. K. Barnett Funeral Home, 29 E. Route 45, Vernon Hills.
Born Sept. 22, 1951, he died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at home. Burial will be private.
Mr. Springer was employed by Dental Arts Laboratory of Lincolnshire.
Heis survived by his sons, Christopher, Joshua and Ryan, and daughter, Sarah, all of Vernon Hills; mother, Mildred (Solomon) Zeloof of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; brother, Charles Springer and his wife, Tracy Sullivan, of Altadena, Calif.; sister, Judy (Jerry) Rentner of Third Lake, Ill.; fiancee, Karen Hayden of Vernon Hills; and future stepdaughter, Dawn Taylor of Vernon Hills.
