John `Azzy' Petrusky of Waukegan
A Mass of Christian Burial for John `Azzy' Petrusky, 85, formerly ofNorth Chicago, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Patrick Church (new church), Wadsworth.
Born Sept. 14, 1913, in Waukegan, he died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at at Terrace Nursing Center in Waukegan. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
A longtime resident of the area, he owned and operated Azzy's 66 Service Station atthe corners of 10th and Jackson Sts. in Waukegan for 50 years. He was a former member of Mother of God Church. He participated in the semi-pro baseball league, was an avid fisherman and loved all animals, especially `ponies'.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Emily Elizabeth (nee Svete); children, Mary Frances `Missy' Daniels of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., Robert `Rob' (Georgene) Petrusky of Pleasant Prairie, Allan (Marcia) Petrusky of Waukegan and Thomas (Leigh Ann) Petrusky of Pleasant Prairie; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Millie Ogrin of Waukegan.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan, on April 26, 1954; brothers, Charles and Joseph Petruska, and John and Albert `Mickey' Zaugra; and sisters, Bernice Pickel and Nelle Wightman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.

John James `Jim' Racz
Private funeral services will be held for John James `Jim' Racz, 76.
Born in Chicago, he died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, in Winfield.
Mr. Racz grew up in Berwyn and served as a sergeant inthe 71st Division of the Army during World War II. After the war he worked with his father at Suburban Buick in Wheaton for 10 years and then at Eddie Ruch Pontiac for the next 20 years. For the past 22 years, he had worked at the DuPage County Highway Department.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret `Suzie' Racz; sons, John R. (MaryBeth) and Daniel J. Racz; daughter, Susan (Greg) Hendricks; and four grandchildren, John E. and Justin D. Racz, and Jessica L. and Laura M. Hendricks.
He was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence J. `Larry' Racz.

Nancee L. Reckwerdt of Wauconda
A memorial service for Nancee L. Reckwerdt (nee Hironimus), 59, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Rd., Cary.
Born Dec. 10, 1939, in Wauconda, she died suddenly Saturday, April 24, 1999, at home. Inurnment will be in Windridge Memorial Park.
A lifelong Wauconda resident, she was a member of Transfiguration Church and Women of the Moose of Wauconda Chapter #1520, since 1995. She was a longtime member and volunteer of the auxiliary of Good Shepherd Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Roy P.; mother of Kathleen (George) Upton, Kimberly Carpenter, Lisa (Daniel) Schmidt, Lora (Peter III) Snelten and Lynda Bliss; daughter of Ethel and Clarence Hironimus; sister of Kenneth (Janice) Hironimus, Jo Ann (Mitchell) Bienkowski, Cheryl (Gary) Thompson and the late Norman; and grandmother of Nicole, Robert, Ryan, Kiersten, Luke, Adam, Jacob, Rachel, Ben, Cody and PJ.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda.
Please omit flowers.

Wilbert William Seilkopf of Elgin
Services and burial for Wilbert William Seilkopf, 82, will be private.
Born Aug. 5, 1916, in Elgin, the son of Lewis and Adelia Stephen Seilkopf, he passed away Monday, April 26, 1999, at Alderwood Health Care Center in South Elgin.
He served in the Army for five years and worked for the City of Elgin.
Survivors include his daughters, Nan Jean Kay and JoAnne Gwen Schram, both of Elgin; granddaughter, Rian Arin Schmidt of Arlington Heights; and sister, Margaret Betz of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Mary Jane Hack Seilkopf in 1991.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, at Stout-Madison Funeral Home, 252 S. State St., Elgin.

Joseph S. Shimkus of Glen Ellyn
A funeral Mass for Joseph S. Shimkus, 74, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, at St. Petronille Church, Hillside and Glenwood Avenue, Glen Ellyn.
He died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield. Interment will be private.
A resident of Glen Ellyn for 45 years, Mr. Shimkus had retired in 1980 from International Harvester where he had worked as a field engineer. He was a Navy veteran, having served during World War II.
He was the beloved husband of the late Clara Shimkus; dear father of Collette Curtis and Joseph, Edward (Lynn) and Mary Shimkus; loving grandfather of Cathleen Morton and Charles `Chip' Curtis; great-grandfather of Richard, Joseph and Christian Morton, and Nicholas and Bradley Curtis; and fond brother of many.

Lucila F. Suarez of Libertyville for 16 years
Mass for Lucila F. Suarez (nee Feliciano), 90, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today, at St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple, Libertyville.
Born Oct. 31, 1908, in Mexico, Pampanga, Philippines, she died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mrs. Suarez was a retired school teacher and a member of St. Joseph Parish in Libertyville.
She was the wife of the late Jose, who died in 1990; mother of Jeck Suarez of Libertyille, Leony (Eddie) Fabian, Lely (Joji) Dayao, Precy (Luis) Adriano and Dory Suarez, all of Libertyville; grandmother of 10; and great-grandmother of seven.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. today, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, Ltd., 101 Park Place, Liberyville.

Dean H. Sunderman of Elgin
Private family services for Dean H. Sunderman, 76, were held at Laird Funeral Home in Elgin.
Born Dec. 27, 1922, in Bible Grove, Ill., to Orville and Vera (nee Specht) Sunderman, he died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin, following a brief illness. Burial will be private.
A resident of Elgin for most of his life, Mr. Sunderman was a 1942 graduate of Elgin High School and had been employed by School District U-46 for 18 years before retiring. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Merchant Marines. Among his special interests, he was a member of the Kishwaukee Archers of Sycamore and was also an avid artist.
Surviving are his wife, Delores J. Sunderman (nee Anderson), whom he married Aug. 28, 1948; sons, Terry Dean (Nancy) Sunderman of Elgin and Kevin Scott (Judy) Sunderman of Albuquerque, N. M.; grandchildren, Heather Marie and Dean Murray Sunderman, both of Albuquerque; sister, Rose Marie Walsh of St.
Charles; brothers, Louie (Christine) Sunderman of Sacramento, Calif., and Doyne (Jane) Sunderman of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or to Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin.

Mary H. Tomkins of Wheeling
Services for Mary H. Tomkins (nee Gertz), 87, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (two blocks south of Dundee Road), Wheeling.
Born Feb. 3, 1912, in Raymond, Neb., she died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Burial will be private.
She was the loving mother of Charles (Eleanor) Starke of Wheeling, Lawrence (Bonnie) Starke of Deerfield and the late Janice De Bosschere and Geraldine Boyes; dear sister of Carl (Charlotte) Gertz of Bradley, Ill., Fredia White of McHenry, Camille McManus of Casper, Wyo., and the late Erwin (Camille) Gertz; cherished grandmother of 11; great-grandmother of 17; and great-great-grandmother of two.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Mark S. Walter of Wauconda
Services for Mark S. Walter, 40, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Federated Church of Wauconda, 200 S. Barrington Rd., Wauconda.
Born Nov. 28, 1958, in Atlanta, Ga., he died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. Burial will be private.
A 29-year resident of Wauconda, he was a 1976 graduate of Wauconda High School. He received his associate degree in accounting from College of Lake County. He was a member of the church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Verlene and J. William Walter, he is survived by his brothers, John William Jr. (Linda), James Sidney and Matthew Lee (Laurie); grandmother, Osia Mae Stone; nephews, Steven Grant, Christopher John and Lucas Carl; and cousins, Debra Williams and Lindy Head.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda, and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday, at the church.

Ethel Mary Weltman, 85, of St. Charles, formerly of West Chicago, died Sunday, April 25. Arrangements were made by Williams-Woodward Funeral Home, West Chicago, (630) 231-1300.

Raymond H. Werner formerly of Palatine
Services for Raymond H. Werner, 69, a resident of McHenry for more than 10 years and formerly of Palatine, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine.
Born July 20, 1929, in Chicago, to William and Hattie (nee Lippert) Werner, he died Monday, April 26, 1999, at his home.
Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mr. Werner had worked for Pinkerton Security for 27 years. During that time he had also worked as a lathe operator and grinder at the Hoffman Company in Mundelein for more than 20 years. A veteran, he had served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 911 in Wauconda.
Surviving are his sisters, Dorothy (Raymond) Larsen of Wauconda and Marie (Raymond) Jannusch of Palatine; niece, Shirley Cerer of McHenry; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alma Werner, Dec. 23, 1988; sisters, Emma Harting and Florence Finger; and brother, Edward Werner.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the church.
Memorials to the family would be appreciated.

Marjorie T. Wilson formerly of Wheaton
Memorial services for Marjorie T. Wilson, 82, of Camdenton, Mo., will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, at the United Methodist Church in Camdenton. The Rev. Marc Magana will officiate.
Born April 11, 1917, on a farm in Grundy County, Iowa, the oldest child of Lois and Kenneth Hiatt, she died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at Balanced Care South in Lebanon, Mo. Burial wil be in Linwood Cemetery, Boone, Iowa.
Marge lived in Grundy County until 1931 when the family moved to Boone, Iowa, where she attended high school.
She received her nursing degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1939 and worked as a registered nurse until she had children.
Marge was married to John R. Wilson on Nov. 22, 1939. She was active in church and community affairs, bothin Boone and also in Wheaton, where she and her family moved in 1948, and Camdenton, where they moved in 1982. In October 1999 she had a stroke and shortly thereafter became a resident of Balanced Care South.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, John Wilson; son, Marc Alan Wilson of St. Paul, Minn., and John Roger (Linda) Wilson of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; grandchildren, Emily and Toller Wilson-Weisser; sister, Arlene Bowen of Richardson, Texas; and brother, Stanley Hiatt of Plano, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as a baby son, Craig Edward Wilson.
Arrangements were made by Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton, Mo.
