Elsie B. Ferrari of Rolling Meadows
A memorial Mass for Elsie B. Ferrari will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Colette Church, Rolling Meadows.
Born Oct. 27, 1905, in Chicago, she died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at ManorCare in Arlington Heights. Ms. Ferrari donated her body to science.
She is survived by her twin sister, Grace Kline; Clara Hildebrant; and many nieces and nephews.

John J. Gerardi of Libertyville
A funeral Mass for John J. Gerardi, 84, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple, Libertyville.
Born Aug. 29, 1914, in Chicago, he died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mr. Gerardi was a retired tool and die maker. A resident of Libertyville for eight years, he was a member of St. Joseph Parish.
He was the beloved husband for 61 years of Constance Gerardi (nee Cecala); loving father of Constance J. Gerardi of Naperville and Josephine Gerardi of Libertyville; and proud grandfather of John F. Gerardi of Naperville.
Visitation will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1440 W. Washington Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607, or to Carmel High School, 1 Carmel Parkway, Mundelein, IL 60060.

Betty L. Gibson of Palatine
Services for Betty L. Gibson (nee Blocksom), 69, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect.
Born Oct. 26, 1929, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at Lexington of Schaumburg. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Gibson was a retired bartender.
She was the beloved mother of Danette (Stanley) Howard; cherished grandmother of Adam and Alaina; dear sister of Shirley (Don) Phetteplace and the late Rose; and fond niece of Lois Blocksum. She is also survived by many dear cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Walter Goldammer of Mundelein
Services for Walter Goldammer, 81, a resident of Sylvan Lake, will be held at 7 p.m. today, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville.
Born Feb. 5, 1918, in Chicago, he passed away Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines, following a prayer service at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Goldammer was a longtime resident of Chicago and had moved to Sylvan Lake three years ago. A veteran of the Army, he had served in Europe during World War II. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Goldammer had been the owner of River Rand Bowl in Des Plaines.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred `Rene' Goldammer (nee Kalas); children, Laurine (the late Ken) Fortney of Geneva, and Patricia (Derek) Hampson and Susan Artingstall, both of Sylvan Lake; grandchildren, Lisa, Jill, Chris, Shawn, David, Jennifer, Peter, Kate, Suzy, Jason and Amy (Mike); great-granddaughter, Taylor; andsister, Loretta Robert of Park Ridge.
Friends of the family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Kirk of the Lakes Presbyterian Church Youth Ministry.

Andrew (Andy) David Hartwig of Barrington
Services for Andrew (Andy) David Hartwig, 20, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 720 S. Dundee Ave., Barrington. He will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Reverend John Hartwig and Reverend Gerald Schalk will officiate.
Born Dec. 13, 1978, in Park Ridge, he passed away Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn. Burial will be in White Cemetery, Barrington.
Andy was a sophomore at the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana, studying history education. He was an honor student at the University and made the Dean's list every semester. He graduated from Barrington High School in 1997, where he was a member of the soccer and baseball teams. Andy loved music and played the bass guitar. He was a founding member of the Creepers Jazz Band. Andy was also a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, and his interests included cycling, running and writing.
Survivors include his parents, Kenneth and Jill Hartwig of Barrington; paternal grandparents, Floyd (Bill) and Evelyn Hartwig of Crystal Lake; maternal grandparents, Dave and Betty Hartley of Downers Grove; aunt, Julie (Gary) Nass of Naperville; uncles, Reverend John (Natalie) Hartwig of Salem, Va. and Bill (Nancy) Hartwig of Woodstock; six first cousins; many great-aunts, uncles and cousins; and his dog, Spike.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, at Stirlen-Pieper & Davenport Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd. ), Barrington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be mae to the Andrew Hartwig Memorial Music Scholarship Fund, attn: Christine M. Sherman, Barrington Bank and Trust Company, N. A., 201 S. Hough St., Barrington, IL 60010.

Peter J. Hehn of Mount Prospect
Funeral services and interment for Peter J. Hehn, 80, will take placein Linz, Austria, at a later date.
Born July 11, 1918, he died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Hehn had been a resident of Mount Prospect for 39 years and had been employed by Benrus Watch Company for 37 years as a watch maker.
He was the beloved husband of Herta Hehn (nee Gadringer), to whom he would have been married 50 years this coming July; and dear brother of Joseph Hehn and Anna Ramirez.

Peggy J. Hinerman of Hanover Park
Services for Peggy J. Hinerman (nee Carr), 47, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Johnson and Son Funeral Home, 300 E. 30th St., Hutchinson, Kan.
Born in Hutchinson, she died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
A homemaker, she was the wife of John P. Hinerman; mother of Joshua P. and Matthew A. Hinerman, Lisa A. (Tim) Hinchley and Joan K. Hinerman; daughter of the late Glen Allan and Marguerite (nee Harman) Carr; sister of G. A. Carr, Arlen (Laurie) Carr, Cindy (Lamont) Whitmore and Jenny (Steve) Tallman; and grandmother of Paisley J. Hinchley and Alexandria J. Hinerman.

Jurelle A. Kahoun of Sleepy Hollow
Graveside services for Jurelle A. Kahoun, 59, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee, with the Rev. Allan R. Buss officiating.
Born in Chicago March 4, 1940, she died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
Ms. Kahoun lived in Sleepy Hollow for 36 years. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church of Dundee Township and an avid `garage saler. ' She is survived by two sons, Calvin J. (Debra) Kahoun of Huntley and Clayton (Denise) Kahoun of Crystal Lake; daughter, Kimberly J. (James) Petruzelli of Boca Raton, Fla.; five grandchildren, Colin, Blake, Samantha, C. J. and Kyle; and her mother, Eleanor Engstrom of Sleepy Hollow.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Berounsky.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee.

Clayton Kent of Carol Stream
A committal service for Clayton Kent, 87, of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, formerly of Wheaton, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at Wheaton Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m.
at First Baptist Church of Wheaton, 1310 N. Main St., Wheaton. Rev. Wilbur C. Ellsworth will officiate.
Born April 4, 1912, in New York City, he died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital.
He attended Rutgers University and the Moody Bible Institute. From 1945 to 1971 he was a missionary to India with TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission). He then returned to the United States to work in the Carol Stream office of TEAM for thenext 10 years. Mr. Kent was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wheaton and Midwest Creation Fellowship, wherehe had been co-treasurer.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille (nee Guiley); daughter, Ruth Kent; and brother, John M. K(Ruth) Kent of California.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Kent.

Elvera Klein
Services for Elvera Klein (nee Schalk), 82, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg.
Born May 30, 1916, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, in Elk Grove Village. Burial will be in St. Lukes Cemetery, Chicago.
She was the wife of the late John A.; mother of Jim (Joyce) Klein and the late Karen (Raymond) Dittmann; grandmother of Todd (Sue), Donna and Lisa Dittmann, and Jason, John and Jordan Klein; and great-grandmother of Joshua Dittmann.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Marjorie May Kreitz of Batavia
Funeral services for Marjorie May Kreitz (nee Brown), 79, will be held at 7 p.m. today, at Fox Valley Christian Church, 1605 W. Wilson St., Batavia. The Rev. Bill Anderson of Elgin, a close family friend, will officiate with the Rev. Darren Sloniger of Westridge Community Church.
Born Jan. 1, 1920, in Dickinson, N. D., the daughter of Cecil and Adeline (nee Briggs) Brown, she passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, April 21, 1999, at her daughter's home in Batavia, where she was surrounded by her family.
Marge was a devoted wife and mother and a cherished grandmother who spent many fun-filled hours cheering on her grandchildren in all their athletic endeavors. No matter the pace or the path of their lives, they could always count on Grandma's unconditional and unselfish love. A difference-maker for her Lord Jesus, she will be treasured in the hearts of loved ones until they meet one day in paradise.
She is survived by three children, Jim (Judy) Kreitz of Naperville, Donald (Sue) Kreitz of Cresskill, N. J. and Candy (Bob) Bockus of Batavia; nine grandchildren, Kasia, Thad (Heidi), Kurt (Jeannie), Eric, Broc, Kimberly and Garret Kreitz, Tara Brae and Joshua Bockus; and eight siblings, Faye Ginther, Carol (George) Balla, Georgia Lester, Sylvia Glafenheim, Keith, Sam (Joanne) Ronald (Nancy) and Douglas Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Kellett; and the love of her life: her husband, Donald E. Kreitz Sr., whom she wed Jan. 10, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo., and who preceded her in 1992.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, at the church.
