John E. `Jack' Kirmse of Carpentersville
Funeral Mass for John E. `Jack' Kirmse, 71, will be celebrated at noon Saturday, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Dundee, with the Rev. W. Michael McKinstra officiating.
Born in Elgin Oct. 25, 1927, the son of Edward and Madolyn (nee Dwyer) Kirmse, he died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in St.
Mary Cemetery, Gilberts.
Mr. Kirmse was a lifelong resident of the Dundee/Carpentersville area. A Marine Corps veteran, he served his country from 1946 to 1948. Prior to his retirement in 1994, Mr. Kirmse was employed by Haeger Pottery in East Dundee. He was a lifelong member of St. Catherine of Siena Church where he served as an usher.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Phyllis I. (Collett) Kirmse, they married May 29, 1954; sons, Kevin (Julia) of Mesa, Ariz., Patrick (Meredith) of Carpentersville and Thomas (Claudia) of East Dundee; granddaughters, Madeline Sarah and Erin Elizabeth; four sisters, Katherine (Thomas) McEnerney of East Dundee, Janice (John) White of Michigan City, Ind., Mary Dougherty of Carpentersville and Helen (William) Menke of Rockford; three brothers, Phillip (Mary Ann) Kirmse and Edward Kirmse, both of Elgin, and Gerald of Carpentersville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Larry, in 1960.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee, and from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass Saturday, at the church.
Johanna Van Landuyt of Mundelein
Services for Johanna `Gramma Jo' Van Landuyt (nee Bouma), 87, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville.
Born Jan. 25, 1912, in Libertyville, she died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Winchester House. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fremont Center.
Mrs. Van Landuyt was a lifelong resident of Mundelein and a graduate of Warren High School. She was retired from the J. E. Hoffman Company of Mundelein.
Johanna was a member of the Mundelein Senior Center and enjoyed spending time with her family and her many friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice Van Landuyt; loving mother of Maurice `Pete' Van Landuyt of Idaho, MariLynn (Lester) Geu of Mundelein; and Mary Jo (Thomas) Carter of Vernon Hills; proud grandmother of Michelle Geu and Amber and Michael Carter; and dear sister of the late Cornelius (Mabel), William (Janet) and John Bouma.
Rev. Richard L. Lehmann formerly of Mount Prospect
A Requiem Mass for Rev. Richard L. Lehmann, 76, ofChicago, will be held at 2 p.m. today, at St. John Episcopal Church, 200 N. Main St., Mount Prospect.
Born Jan. 21, 1923, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago.
Rev. Lehmann was rector at St. John Episcopal Church from February 1963 until January 1985. He was on the board of and art editor for the Episcopal Foundation of Chicago for 30 years. He was also on the audio visual committee of the foundation. He wasa former member of the Mount Prospect Youth Commission and member of the Circus Fans Association of America.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Lehmann (nee Hawkinson); sons, Christopher Lehmann and Douglas (Vicki) Lehmann; andgrandson, Matthew Lehmann.

John T. McPhail of Arlington Heights
Services for John T. McPhail, 76, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights.
Born April 30, 1922, in Eldorado, Ill., he died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at his home.
Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
A 20-year Arlington Heights resident, Mr. McPhail worked as a consultant for International Harvester in Chicago for 43 years. An
Army veteran of World War II, he had at one time served as head of the International Harvester Veteran's Group.
He was the husband of Lucille A. (nee Anglin), who he wed Feb. 23, 1946; father of Cathy Burns of Palatine, Paul (Maria) McPhail of Arlington Heights and Michele (Steve) Jensen of Wheeling; grandfather of Darryl, Graham, Clark, Valerie, Rebecca, Melanie and Delaney; dear son ofthe late Matthew and Jean McPhail; brother of Jean Turner of Forest Park, Martha (Edward) Schworles of Chicago andthe late Philip McPhail; fond brotherin-law of Clara McPhail of Oak Park; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Mark D. Monson of Libertyville
Services for Mark D. Monson, 60, were held Thursday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, Libertyville.
Born Jan. 8, 1939, in Bismarck, N. D., he passed away Monday, April 12, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
A 15-year Libertyville resident, he loved to sail and was a member of the South Shore Yacht Club in Milwaukee.
Surviving are his wife, Joan (nee Pantsios) of Libertyville; children, Jon Monson of Minneapolis, Minn. and Connie Monson of Atlanta, Ga.; and grandson, Sean Burke.
David D. Oldham
Services for David D. Oldham, 57, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at First Congregational Church in Huntley. The Rev. Ronald D. Woodruff will officiate.
Born April 5, 1942, in Martin, Tenn., to John and Gladys (nee McDonald) Oldham, he died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in Huntley Cemetery.
Mr. Oldham was a 1960 graduate of Huntley High School and served in the
Army during the Vietname War from 1967 to 1968. He married Lonni Swanson on June 14, 1969, in Huntley, where they resided all of their married life. David worked as a rural carrier for the Barrington Post Office. He was very supportive of his community, serving as a volunteer paramedic and firefighter for the Huntley Fire Department for 20 years and as a Grafton Township trustee for 16 years.
He was also a member of First Congregational Church of Huntley and a member and past commander of the American Legion Post of Huntley.
Surviving are his wife, Lonnie; daughters, Megan and Molly of Huntley; brother, Gerald (Evelyn) Oldham of Ripley, Miss.; sister-in-law, Coila Ernest of Wichita, Kan.; and severalnieces and nephews.
Preceding David in death were his parents; brother, Cary Oldham; and sister, Betty Turner.

Gust E. Palm of Batavia

Born Oct. 17, 1920, in Aurora, the son of Charles William and Adelia (nee Hawkinson) Palm, he passed away Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Gebhardt of Chicago; son, Frank Palm of Batavia; grandchildren, Shane Palm of Colorado Springs, Colo., Tony Dunovsky of Batavia, Ryan McFarland of Batavia and Lalia Tuggle of Chicago; great-granddaughter, Alison Palm of Colorado Springs; and brothers and sisters, George (Mickey) Palm of Escondido, Calif., John (Thelma) Palm of Niota, Ill., Charlotte Holmes of Niota, James (Gerri) Palm of Benerndos, Brazil and Doris Goodman of Mount Orab, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie M. (nee Welander) Palm, whom he married on Nov. 5, 1946, in Burlington, Iowa; and brothers and sisters, Charles Palm, Mitilda Ottinger, Lillian Grindle and Helen Davis.

Irving L. V. `Bud' Paulson of Mundelein
Services for Irving L. V. `Bud' Paulson, 77, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Kristan Funeral Home, P. C., 219 W. Maple Ave. (Route 176), Mundelein.
Born Jan. 12, 1922, he died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Lake Forest Hospital.
Interment will be in Ivanhoe Cemetery.
Bud was a veteran of World War II having served in the Navy, and a member of the Mundelein American Legion Post #867, the Moose Lodge of Chicago and the Sheet Metal Local #73 of Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel (nee Patino); children, Kathy Caplan, Carol Dungan, Bob (Toni) Paulson, Pamela (Brian) Weber and Connie Smedegard; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters; and great-grandchild, Jose Antonio Serrano.

Born June 8, 1921, in Worchester, Mass., he died Monday, April 12, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mr. Robinson had retired from American Hospital Supply and was a graduate of Emory University, where he had attended Emory School of Law. An
Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Robinson was a decorated commissioned officer of the 80th division. He was a member of the Order of the Purple Heart and the Libertyville American Legion, and also of the Baxter Alumni Club.
Survivors include his son, Donald (Sue) Robinson of Mercer Island, Wash.; daughters, Susan (Pat) Julian of Libertyville, Heather (John) Haggerty of Skokie and Marianne (David) Baker of Salisbury, Md.; and grandchildren, Sarah, Denny, and Grace Haggerty, Samantha and Kelsey Julian, and Cassidy and Kirk Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adelaide.
