Ardys E. Finke formerly of Schaumburg
Services for Ardys E. Finke, 75, of Douglas, Wyo., will be heldat 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the Cherry Grove United Methodist Church in Minnesota.
There will be a memorial service in Douglas at a later date.
Born Oct. 15, 1923, in Winneshiek County, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Amanda (nee Radechel) Goldsworthy, she died Saturday, April 10, 1999, in Douglas, from a lengthy illness from complications of Alzheimer's Disease. Burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery.
She attended rural school and was a 1941 graduate of Harmony, Minn. public school. She married Kenneth Finke on March 16, 1962, in Rochester, Minn. The couple made their home in Schaumburg, where she was a homemaker. They moved to Douglas in Feb. 1996, and became a resident of Michael Manor Nursing Home in Douglas in Aug. 1997.
She was a lifelong member of a number of United Methodist Churches whereshe had been active in their groups. The couple enjoyed traveling together.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; stepson, Craig Finke of Aurora, Minn.; stepdaughter, Marcia (Joe) Rojas of Douglas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Audre (Emerson) Finke of Chatfield, Minn.; and nephew, Denny Finke of Westminster, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today, at Thauwald Funeral Home, 533 N. Broadway, Spring Valley, Minn., and from 1 p.m. until the time of the services Wednesday, at the church.

Jacob H. Grosch Jr. of Arlington Heights
Services for Jacob H. Grosch Jr., 87, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. John Lutheran Church, 1100 Linneman Rd., Mount Prospect. He will lie in state from 10 a.m. untilthe time of the services.
Born Dec. 9, 1911, in Omro, Wis., he died Sunday, April 11, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Mount Prospect.
He was the husband of the late Virginia E. (nee Larson); father of Kenneth J. of Des Plaines, Robert J. (Barbara) of Palo Cedro, Calif. and Judith V. Grosch of Whitewater, Wis.; brother of Fred (late Marion) Grosch, Clara (late Alfred) Bach of Des Plaines, and the late Leo (Violet) Grosch and Marie (late Fred) Salzmann; and grandfather of Mark Grosch and Amy Grosch.

Dorothy Clem Hull Hill of Hanover Park
A gathering celebrating the life of Dorothy Clem Hull Hill, 70, formerly of the Arlington Heights and Palatine areas, will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, at 1648 Forest GlenAve., Hanover Park.
Born March 6, 1929, in Somerville, Mass., to George M. and Mary Frances (nee Duggan) Clem, she died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at RML Specialty Hospital, Hinsdale. Burial will be private.
Surviving are her daughters, Diane Hull of Hanover Park, Cheryl Fenske of West Chicago and Dorice (Patrick) Griffin of Grand Prairie, Texas; sons, Ralph G. Hull III of Houston, Texas, and John L. Hull of Hanover Park; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph G. Hull; brother, Arthur Clem; and sister, Pauline Early.

Robert A. Houston of Prospect Heights
Services for Robert A. Houston, 74, also of Boca Raton, Fla., will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at the Wyndham Hamilton Hotel, 400 Park Blvd., Itasca.
Born Oct. 28, 1924, inRushville, Ill., he died Monday, April 12, 1999, in Boca Raton, after a brief illness. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Elkhart Cemetery, Elkhart, Ill.
A 34-year resident of Prospect Heights, Mr. Houston was a founder, owner and chairman of the board of O. E. I. Business Products of Itasca. He was a World War II
Army veteran in the 102nd Infantry Division
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Lyn (nee Gallion); children, Richard (Suzie) Houston of Pinole, Calif. and Patricia Houston of Los Angeles, Calif.; stepchildren, Mikel (Tina) Briggs of Naperville and Julia (William) Mabie of Woodland Park, Colo.; nine grandchildren; three nephews; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randall Houston; and sister, Dorothy Buck.

Russell Larson of Batavia

Born Feb. 4, 1922, in Aurora, the son of Earnest and Elizabeth (nee Plautz) Larson, he passed away Monday, April 12, 1999, at Carrington Care Center in Elgin.
Burial will be in River Hills Memorial Park.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion, VFW and Moose Lodge. Nelson Brothers Transfer employed him as a truck driver before his retirement. His hobbies included bowling, golfing
and cheering for the Chicago White Sox and Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his sons, Dale Larson of Batavia and Kurt (Dawn) Larson of Batavia; grandsons, Joshua and Jared Larson, both of Batavia; brother, Wayne (Betty) Larson of Batavia; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Larson; his parents; and sister, Ione Larson.

Services for Peter Marti, 85, will begin with prayers at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle, and continue with Mass at 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, Arlington Heights. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Marti had been a music teacher in School District 25, Arlington Heights, for 21 years. He was a veteran and served during World War II.
He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Marti (nee Menghinelli); devoted father of Sandra (the late Alan) Westergaard; fond grandfather ofMark Westergaard; and dear brother of Ann (John) Pasquini.

Lester James Rebbeck Jr. of Rolling Meadows
Services for Lester James Rebbeck Jr., 69, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Presbyterian Church of Palatine, 800 E. Palatine Road, Palatine.
Born June 25, 1929, in Chicago, he died Sunday, April 11, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mr. Rebbeck had been employed as an art teacher for 38 years with District 25, retiring in 1993. He had taught at both South and Thomas Middle Schools. Mr. Rebbeck was a member of the Chicago Society of Artists and the Alumni of the Art Institute, and was on the board of directors of the Countryside Art Fair. He was also a deacon at the Presbyterian Church of Palatine.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Paula B. Rebbeck (nee Phillips), whom he married July 7, 1951; and son, Les (Christine) Rebbeck of Algonquin.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. He will also lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the church.

She was the wife ofthe late Edward H.; mother of the late Edward D. (Judith (Joseph) O'Neill) of Arlington Heights; grandmother of Carole (John) Bowers, Laurie Reese and Gary Reese, all of Arlington Heights; great-grandmother of six; and aunt of Eunice Reese.

Thomas A. Schirmann
A memorial service for Thomas A. Schirmann, 43, of Des Plaines, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, at Christ Church Lake Forest, Waukegan Road and Route 60.
Born May 27, 1955, in Chicago, he passed away Saturday, April 10, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Schirmann had been raised in Northbrook and was a 1973 graduate of Glenbrook High School. He later graduated from Kendall College in Evanston and also attended the University of Arizona.
Tom was a former member of Northbrook United Methodist Church and had been a resident of Des Plaines for the past 10 years.
Surviving are his mother, Virginia Schirmann of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Lake Forest; and sister, Meg (Gary) Greenbaum of Lindenhurst.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Schirmann, in 1993.

Constant P. Schmit formerly of Long Lake
A funeral Mass for Constant P. Schmit, 91, of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., also formerly of Chicago, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Joseph Church, Round Lake.
Born Feb. 21, 1908, in Chicago, he passed away Friday, March 26, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Round Lake and Resurrection Parish in Fort Myers Beach. He retired after 39 years as a bus driver for the CTA and was a member of Local #241. He retired to Florida in 1976.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Schmit; children, Richard (Pat) Schmit of Round Lake Beach, Thomas Schmit of Spring Grove and Mary (Jack) Shull of Johnsburg, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Contributions in his memory to the Hospice of Lee County, Florida, would be appreciated.
