Nicholas J. Pope formerly of Palatine
Nicholas J. Pope, 87, most recently of Eagle River, Wis., died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, in Eagle River.
Mr. Pope was a retired tool and die maker in the greater Chicago area, and worked for 45 years at his craft.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda (nee Prokel); sons, George (Donna) Pope of Beloit, Wis., John (Marisue) Pope of Reno, Nev., David (Leslee) Pope of Grayslake and James (Kathy) Pope of McHenry; sister, Mary (Peter) Zankovich of Niles; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Private family services were held in Eagle River on Wednesday, April 7. Cremation followed.

Geraldine M. `Geri' Raybourne of Carpentersville
Visitation for Geraldine M. `Geri' Raybourne, 71, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee.
Private family services will be held on Friday.
Born April 4, 1928, in Chicago, to Vidor and Catherine (nee McMahon) Carlstrom, she died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at her home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Raybourne had been a resident of the Carpentersville area for 31 years and was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church of Carpentersville. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for 25 years at Northrop-Grummen in Rolling Meadows.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy (Don) Hull of Elgin, Lyn (Mike) Garms of Algonquin and Susan Shalk of Carpentersville; son, Edward (Sandra) Raybourne of Lake in the Hills; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin P. Raybourne, on April 14, 1995; son, Allen Raybourne, in 1969; and grandson, Danny, in 1991.

Stanley A. Thryselius formerly of Batavia
Funeral services for Stanley A. Thryselius, 87, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia.
Born June 17, 1911, in Batavia, he passed away Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at his home in Aurora. Interment will be in River Hills Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Thryselius (nee Galles); two sons, Roger of Chicago and Ron (Shirley) Thryselius of Batavia; one daughter, Bonnie Thryselius of Boston, Mass.; four sisters, Lillian (Ronald) Brown of Batavia, Marilyn Thryselius of Batavia, Margaret Higgens of Batavia and Esther Westphall of Aurora; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and two sisters.

Joan Augusta Wakefield of Naperville
Funeral services for Joan Augusta Wakefield, 67, will be held at10 a.m. Friday, at St. Patrick's Residence, 1400 Brookdale Road, Naperville.
Born July 14, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo., she died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at St. Patrick's Residence. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
Mrs. Wakefield was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Funeral Choir. A resident of Naperville since 1968, she was active in the Naperville Community Watch and a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Survivors include her husband, Hugh Wakefield of Naperville; daughter, Teresa Rehs of Naperville; son, Jerry Wakefield of Serena, Ill.; sister, Sylvia Moroy and brother, Bob Moroy, both of Atlanta, Ga.; and grandchildren, Shawna Wakefield, Jake and Jessie Rehs.

Kate Goodwill Anderson of Elgin
Services and interment for Kate Goodwill Anderson, 22, will be private. Tom Ostrander of Morris Methodist Church, formerly First United Methodist Church in Elgin, will officiate.
She was born Oct. 2, 1976, in Elgin, the daughter of Paul Lawrence Anderson and Mary Ellen Goodwill both of Elgin, and both teachers at U-46 High Schools. Kate, a beloved daughter, sister and friend died suddenly at her home Wednesday, April 7, 1999.
Kate was a native of Elgin graduating from Elgin High School in 1994. She received her B. A. degree from the University of Iowa in 1998.
Survivors include her parents; grandparents, Paul and Betty Anderson of Iowa City; sister, Tracy Grote of Oxford, Iowa; and brother, Peter Warren Zalesky of Algonquin.
She was preceded in deathby her maternal grandparents, Helen and John Goodwill of Chelmsford, Mass.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Anderson home at 736 Douglas Ave., Elgin.

Harold Blomberg of Elgin
Funeral services for Harold Blomberg, 92, of Willow Lake Estates in Elgin for the past 17 years, were held Thursday, at Messiah Lutheran Church of Elgin, with the Rev. Roger A. Elliott officiating.
Born in Akron, Ohio on Jan. 29, 1907, the son of Ernst and Christina Blomberg, he died Tuesday, April6, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be private.
Mr. Blomberg, a Navy veteran of World War II, was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Elgin and the Disc and Needle Music Club. He was a former 45-year employee of S. S. White Dental Mfg. /Pennwalt Company.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Grace Larson Blomberg, they married April 8, 1943; one daughter, Susan (the Rev. John) Shallow of Peshtigo, Wis.; one son, David Blomberg of Milwaukee; and one grandson, Mark Shallow of Peshtigo, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Paul and John, in infancy; and two sisters, Esther and Ruth.

Lenore Brucher lifelong resident of West Chicago
Prayers for Lenore Brucher, 81, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at NorrisWalen Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago, with a 10 a.m. Mass to followat St. Mary's Church. The Rev. Vern Arseneau will officiate.
Born Sept. 22, 1917, to Agnes and Phillip Mann, she passed away Tuesday, April 5, 1999, at Provena Pine View Center in St. Charles. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Brucher was a member of St. Mary's Church and a 50-year member of Catholic Daughters of America Court 432 of West Chicago. She attended St. Mary's School and graduated from West Chicago Community High School in 1935. Lenore was a homemaker and worked part-time at a local nursery school while her children were young, and later was employed by Du-Wayne Motel in West Chicago. She was also an avid Cubs fan. Her friendliness and smiles will be greatly missedby everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph `Bud' Brucher, with whom she celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary July 3, 1998; two children, Carole Weigand of West Chicago and Larry (Donna) Brucher of St. Charles; six grandchildren, Jeff (Denise) Weigand of West Chicago, Michelle (Jeff) West of West Chicago, Marcia Coquillette of Sycamore, Tim Weigand of Aurora and Mike and Christopher Brucher of St. Charles; six great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Don Schramer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marge Schramer and her son-in-law, Kent Weigand.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home, where a liturgical wake service will be held at 5 p.m.

Mr. Carlson was an active member of Geneva Lutheran Church and a veteran of World War II. He loved to fish and also enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Martha;stepson, Marvin (Peggy) Rauhut of Chicago; sister, Jean (Donald) Fitzsimmons of Martinez, Calif.; brother, Robert Carlson of St. Charles; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeff was a proud alumnus of I. I. T. and a fraternity member of Pi Kappa Phi.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Coleman (nee Stach); son, Matthew Coleman; brothers, Brent and Ken Coleman; sister, Tracy Coleman; stepmother, Sandra Coleman; grandparents, Gertrude Coleman and L. Verne Wilson; and best friend, Cody.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon in 1992; mother, Lois in 1965; grandmother, Helen Wilson in 1997; and grandfather, Kenneth Coleman in 1986.
