Born May 20, 1950, in Brooklyn, N. Y., the son of Jose and Andrea Cruz, he died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.
A resident of Elgin, he was employed by the Elgin Sweeper Company.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; children, Peter and Julia Cruz, both at home; mother, Andrea Cruz of Brooklyn; brothers, Benjamin, Elias and Henry, allof Brooklyn; many nieces and nephews; and godparents, Panchita and Sandiago Cruz.
He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers; and one sister.

Hilda C. Daleiden of Arlington Heights

Born Oct. 18, 1914, in Chicago, she died Monday, March 15, 1999, at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
A 22-year resident of Arlington Heights, she was a homemaker and co-owner of Norbert J. Daleiden Inc. from 1965 to 1993, when she retired.
She was the loving wife of Norbert J., whom she married on June 25, 1938, at St. Gregory Church in Chicago; dearest mother of Norbert A. (Bonnie) Daleiden of Arlington Heights; dearest grandmother of Bud (Becky) Daleiden of Arlington Heights, Jonna (Micah) Eimer of Chicago and Tim Daleiden of Arlington Heights; dear great-grandmother of Maxwell and Anna Daleiden; and loved sister of the late Alfred Daubenfeld.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Born June 21, 1939, in Greenfield, Wis., he died Monday, March 15, 1999, at home.

He was a quality control technician for Livingston Products in Wheeling.

(Laura) Dumke; grandchildren, Brittany, Brooke and Jackie Dumke, and Sara and Susan Lindstrom; brother, Skip (Phyllis) Dumke; and sisters, Karen (Chuck) Van Bussumand Ruth Wobig.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lou Rauch.

Edwin W. Feare a 19-year resident of Fox Lake

Born in Chicago, Mr. Feare died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Northern Illinois Medical Center. Interment will be in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago.
Mr. Fearehad retired after 32 years of service with Young and Rubicam Inc. Advertising Agency. He was the president of Schurz High School Class of 1930, and an avid golfer.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Helen (nee Strickler); proud father of Thomas E. and Richard A. (Jacqueline) Feare; brother of Violet (John) Patterson and the late Raymond A. Feare and Gladys (George) Stephens; and grandfather of Michael S., Laura J. and Nicole S. Feare.

The Honorable Carl F. J. Henninger of Glen Ellyn/Wheaton
Funeral services for The Honorable Carl F. J. Henninger, 68, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Faith Lutheran Church, 41 N. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn.
Born April 4, 1930, in Chicago, he died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at his home following a battle with cancer. Private interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Glen Ellyn.
Former Chief Circuit Judge, 18th Judicial Circuit Court, DuPage County, Judge Henninger graduated from Hinsdale High School in 1948. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955, and spent part of his enlisted time serving in Japan.
Following his Air Force duty, he attended the University of Illinois-Chicago at Navy Pier, and subsequently graduated with honors from John Marshall Law School in 1959. He served as assistant state's attorney for DuPage County between 1960 and 1964, where he held the position of chief of the felony division. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Henninger spent 15 years as a trial lawyer and was a partner in the Wheaton law firm of Peregrine, Stime and Henninger. Judge Henninger was appointed a DuPage County associate judge in 1975, and elected a DuPage County Circuit Court judge in 1978. During his 16 years on the bench, he served as Chief Circuit Judge from 1984 to 1989, Presiding Judge of the Civil Law Jury Division from 1984 to 1989, and Presiding Judge of the Chancery Division from 1989 to 1991, and was instrumental in the building of the current DuPage County Court Facility in Wheaton.
Upon his judicial retirement in 1991, Judge Henninger was `of counsel' to the law firms of Keck, Mahin and Cate, as well as McBride, Baker and Coles, both in Oak Brook. In recent years, Judge Henninger devoted a substantial amount of his practice to the area of alternative dispute resolution, and he ran his own arbitration and mediation services business.
He was the chairman of the board of directors of the Center for Analysis of Alternative Dispute Resolution Systems (CAADRS), and a member of the Academy of Experts, the international association of dispute resolution. He was an active member of the DuPage and American Bar Associations, and many other professional and service organizations, as well as a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn.
A loving husband and father, a devoted grandfather and an avid golfer, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Aleen `Lee'; sons, Carl (Dawn) Henninger of Glen Ellyn and Curt (Jennifer) Henninger of Boxford, Mass.; daughters, Dawn (Peter) Lantero of Hinsdale and Jodi (Rob) Herbold of Glen Ellyn; grandchildren, Dana, Hillary, Allison, Jeff, Neal, Christina, Michael and Claire; and brother, Fred (Donna) of Litchfield, Ill.
Sharon M. Jellings of Waukegan
Funeral services for Sharon M. Jellings (nee Shafer), 59, will be held at noon Wednesday, at Salata-Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.
Born May 22, 1939, in Waukegan, the daughter of Earl and Martha (nee Trudeau) Shafer, she passed away Friday, March 12, 1999, at St. Therese Hospital.
Interment will follow the services in Northshore Garden Cemetery, North Chicago.
She is survived by her mother, Martha Shafer of Waukegan. She was the cherished mother of Debra (Philip) Moncrief (nee Yuill) of Port Orchard, Wash. and Diana (Paul) Tippman; sister of Thomas (Jane) Shafer of Spring Grove; and loving grandmother of Philip and Michelle Moncrief and Joseph, Zachary and Emily Tippman.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father in 1989.

A longtime resident of Island Lake, Mrs. Kersten was formerly employed at Peterson Coal Company and Bell's Apple Orchard. She was active in the Community Congregational Church of Island Lake.
Survivors include her son, Norman (Willa) Kersten of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Steven (Carolyn) Kersten and Lisa (John) O'Keefe; great-grandchildren, Elisabeth and Michael O'Keefe; niece, Lois Herber; and nephew, Robert Reuss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustav F. Kersten, in 1974; brother, George; and sister, Irene.
