Louise M. Schultes of McHenry
Services for Louise M. Schultes (nee Oosterhuis), 85, formerly of Niles, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove.
Born in Germany, she died Friday, March 5, 1999, at The Fountains of Crystal Lake Nursing Home. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
In 1946, she and her husband, Otto, became founding partners and owners of Schultes Precision Manufacturing in Niles, now located in Buffalo Grove. She was a member of the Zither Club of Chicago.
She was the wife of the late Otto (1990); mother of Otto J. (Judith), Anita S. (Roger) Woodbury and Brenda J. (Bruce) Pontone; sister of Dorothea (Clifford) Moser, and the late Henry (Dorothy) Oosterfuis and Agnes Koehn; grandmother of seven; stepgrandmother of one; and great-grandmother of six.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral chapel.

Michael R. Shields
Funeral services for Michael R. Shields, 54, will be held at 7 p.m. today, at St. James Church in Mequon, Wis.
Michael passed away Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in Wisconsin. Interment will be private.
Mike was the director of administrative services at St. Rita's Church in West Allis, Wis.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (nee Tuttle); daughters, Clair and Anne Shields; parents, Al and Doris Shields of Batavia; sister, Marsha (David) Marzo; and brother, Barry Shields; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and many dear friends.

Robert S. Storey of Warrenville
Funeral services for Robert S. Storey, 72, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Wheaton Bible Church, at the corner of Main and Franklin, Wheaton. The Rev. James Draper will officiate.
Born April 20, 1926, in Roselle, the son of Oscar and Grace Storey, he passed away Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Burial will be in St. Paul's Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomingdale.
Robert had been an educator for most of his life, having retired as principal from Gower Middle School in Burr Ridge in 1987. An
Army veteran, he served during World War II, and was a member of Wheaton Bible Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doreen, whom he married Aug. 16, 1952; children, Janice (Keith) Dillow of Plano, Stewart (Sharon) Storeyof West Chicago, Kevin (Cheryl) Storey of Winfield and Dawn (Martin) Franklin of Gilbert, Ariz.; grandchildren, Martin (Michelle) Franklin, Melanie (Chris) Burns, Tiffany (Kenneth) Kassinger, Eric Franklin, Scott, Rachel, Daniel, Jessica and Bradley Storey, and Patrick and Nicholas Franklin; great-grandson, Andrew Kassinger; sisters, Edyth Broker (Samuel) Miller, Marjorie (James) Canon, Ruth (Richard) Dixon and Faith Storey (Albert) Steneck; brother, Lester (Diana) Storey; brother-in-law, David (Martha) Gibson; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Robert) Buhlman; mother-in-law, Iva Gibson; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Teresi had served as a self employed barber until his retirement. He was a former past president and member of Vicari Social Club in Chicago.
He was the husband of the late Anna (nee Lucchesi) and the late Josephine (nee Di Angelis); dearest father of John (Irene) Teresi of Antioch and Betty (Tony) Altamore of Arlington Heights; dear grandfather of Susan (Gene) Ekholm of Phoenix, Ariz., Joanne Altamore of Cary, Gina (Doug) Runyardof Antioch and the late Marianne Romaine; dear great-grandfather of Rose Mary Ekholm, Laura Romaine and Timothy Runyard; brother of three late sisters and one late brother; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Charles `Cowboy' Chemes of Batavia
Funeral Mass for Charles `Cowboy' Chemes, 76, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at Holy Cross Church in Batavia, where he will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The Rev. David Huber will officiate.
Born June 1, 1922, in Jasper, Minn., the son of Stephan and Maria Jaimes (nee Valdez), he passed away Monday, March 8, 1999, at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva Township.
Charlie was a graduate of LaSalle Peru High School. During World War II, he served in the
Army in the tank division in North Africa, Germany, Austria, Italy and France. Charlie worked for the City of Batavia Water Department as a foreman for 20 years prior to his retirement in 1987. He was fondly referred to as `cowboy' for his interest in western movies and for being a fan of John Wayne.
His hobbies included reading, studying the history of World War II, animals, gardening, and working as a gifted craftsman in such areas as carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. He devoted his life to his family and enjoyed his special times with his beloved grandchildren. He was a member of the Holy Cross Church in Batavia and a member of Batavia VFW Post #1197.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Chemes; daughters, Linda (Joe) Cretney of Batavia, Sue Chemes of Chicago, Nancy (Terry) Schroeder of Batavia, Penny (Bill) Whiting of Batavia, Julie (J. C.) Premer of Batavia and Cathy (Roger) Stenman of Batavia; grandchildren, Lori (Matt) Holm, Jenny Gribble, Grant Legan, Corey Cretney, Charles `Chas' Berns, Sarah Schroeder, Paige, Ashley, Amy Whiting, Kelsey and Cameron Floyd, all of Batavia; great-grandchildren, Axel, Jacob and Elsie Holm; brothers, Stanley Chemes of California and John Jaimes of Chicago; sisters, Paulina Jaimes of Chicago and Mary Condie of Glen Ellyn; sister-in-law, Mona Nelson of Batavia; brothers-in-law, Roy (Teresa) Melgosa of Batavia and Joseph (Bettie) Melgosa of Jemison, Ala.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and special friends.

Gladys Lillian Desort of Palatine since 1949
Funeral services for Gladys Lillian Desort (nee Gaebel),97, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Born Feb. 10, 1902, in Chicago, she died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Plum Grove Nursing Center, Palatine. Burial will be in Randhill Park Cemetery, Palatine.
Mrs. Desort had worked as a commercial artist and designed many different product labels throughout the years. She was one of the first people to introduce silk screening to photo engravers in the Chicago area.
A life member of the National Weimaraner Club of America, she provided dogs for Dogs for Defense during World War II and raised and bred Standard-bred racehorses.
Survivors include her daughters, Doris J. Rangel of Leon, Iowa, Elaine (John) Rush of Palatine and Edith (James) McCormick of Chicago; son, Rudolph (Azelle) Desort Jr. of College Grove, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rudolph F. Desort, who was a former judge of the Illinois Superior Court for 23 years; and a sister.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of services Friday, at the funeral home.
