HUMPHREY, Ernest Gail
Ernest Gail Humphrey of Normal, formerly of Colfax, 74, died at 7:10 a.m. Friday 7-28-1995 at BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Anchor, with the Rev. Elmer Johnson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax, has charge of arrangements. Mr. Humphrey was born 10-18-1920 at Colfax, a son of Ernest and Minnie Harms Humphrey. He married
Faye Schleeter on 3-5-1949, at Anchor. She died 12-30-1967. Surviving are daughter, Leann Bredberg of Aledo; son Mark of Anchor; sister Velda Beck of Colfax; brothers Loren of Saybrook and Nelson of Cooksville; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a sister and a daughter. Mr. Humphrey was a retired farmer. He served as a military policeman in the Army Air Force from 1941 - 1945. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Anchor, and a 50-year member of the Davis- Kerber American Legion Post 653, Colfax. HYATT, Doris Ann Hinrichsen Kelly
Doris Ann Hyatt, age 72 of Colfax died at 4:54 p.m. 11-18-2002 at Heritage Manor in Colfax. Mrs. Hyatt was born 11-23-1929 at Bloomington, a daughter of Ralph and Hazel Taylor Hinrichsen. She married
Edward Leo Kelly in Ford County on 12-24-1949. He died 6-9-1958. She later married
Wilber Hyatt on 8-18-1967 in Anchor. He died 1-28-1990. Survivors include five sons, Terry (JoAnn) Kelley of Bloomington; Dennis (Joanne) Kelly of Gilbertsville, KY, Steven (Jamie) Kelly of Anchor; Kevin (Angela) Hyatt of Wintergarden, FL and Eric (Jami) Hyatt of Fairbury; two brothers, Jerry Hinrichsen of Forest Park, GA and Randy Hinrichson of Colfax; and two sisters, Dorothy Sanders of Columbia, MO and Connie Peters of Bloomington; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. A homemaker, Mrs. Hyatt worked at M&W; Gear in Anchor and Protein Plus in Colfax. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of rural Anchor. Funeral services were at 11 a.m.Thursday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Colfax with the Reverend Stephen Goodwin officiating. Burial was in Wiley cemetery, Colfax. JENSEN, Genevieve C. Christensen
Genevieve Jensen, formerly of Anchor died 2-9-2002 at Oceanside, CA where she had resided for more than 40 years. Funeral services and burial will be in California. Mrs. Jensen was born at Anchor 12-26-1931, the daughter of Herman and Marie Christensen. She graduated from Gibson City High School and Capital University in Columbus, Ohio majoring in social work. She is survived by two daughters, Anne (Larry) Rutsch and Joell (Tom) Trotta and five grandchildren; one brother, David (Janice) Christensen of Florida; four sisters, Lois (Tom) Rhodes, Bonnie (Charles) Dewey; Betty (Ron) Knapp, and Julie (Dean) Summers, all of Gibson City.
KLINTWORTH, Martin
Martin Klintworth, 85, died at 11 p.m. Sunday (November 1957) at Brokaw Hospital, Normal, after a lingering illness. The funeral was held Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Anchor, the Rev. Alexander Youck officiating; burial was in the church cemetery. He was born 6-11-1872 in Crockery Twp, near Spring Lake, Mich., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Barthold Klintworth. He married
Jessie Heins at Colfax 1-13-1898. He farmed near Anchor until 1936, lived in town since his retirement. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Henry B. of Arrowsmith; Everett of Colfax; and Elmer of Saybrook; two daughters, Anna Schroeder and Leona Winterland, both of Colfax; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three brothers, Henry of Anchor; Phillip of Lansing, Mich; and Michael of Otsego, Mich; three sisters, Mary Merkener and Adeline DeVries both of Spring Lake, Mich.; and Dora Baker of Otsego, Mich. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Anchor.
KLINTWORTH, Henry B.
The funeral of Henry B. Klintworth, 83, of Octavia Manor, Colfax, formerly of the Arrowsmith area, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor. Rev. Alexander Youck officiated with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Klintworth died at 10:15 p.m. Thursday 3-18-1982 at Brokaw Hospital in Normal. Visitation was from 5 - 8 p.m. March 20 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Colfax. He was born 9-11-1898 in Anchor Twp, a son of Martin and Jessie Heins Klintworth. Surviving are a brother, Everett, Colfax; and two sisters, Anna Schroeder, Gibson City; and Leona Winterland, Colfax. A brother preceded him in death. Mr. Klintworth was a retired farmer and had lived for 50 years in the Arrowsmith area. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Anchor and the McLean County Farm Bureau. Memorials may be made to his church or to the Eastern McLean County Ambulance Association.

Everett R. Klintworth, 94, of Colfax died at 12:55 a.m. Monday 2-26-1996 at Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City. His funeral will be at 11 am. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Anchor, the Rev. Darby Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. today at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to his church or the Eastern McLean County Ambulance Association. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Klintworth; two daughters, Carol Clements, Frederick, MD; and Arla Bockhaus, Morton; two sisters, Anna Schroeder, Gibson City; and Leona Winterland, Colfax; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister-in-law, Janette Klintworth, Colfax. His parents and two brothers, Henry and Elmer Klintworth, preceded him in death. He was born 4-3-1901 in Anchor, a son of Martin and Jessie Heins Klintworth. He married
Hazel Lage 2-1-1934 in Anchor. Mr. Klintworth lived his entire life in Colfax and Anchor. He retired from farming in 1966. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

GRIDLEY -- Lydia Martha Kuntz, 94, of Gridley died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 1993, at her daughter's home in rural Lexington. Born April 29, 1898, in West Bend, Iowa, to Emil and Lena Habegar Bruellman, she married
Raymond Kuntz on April 17, 1924, in West Bend. He died Oct. 4, 1982. Five brothers, three sisters, one grandson and two great-grandchildren also preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Rosella Knapp of rural Lexington and Lucille Romersberger of Gridley; two sons, Clyde of rural Gridley and Ralph of rural Colfax; 15 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Gridley Apostolic Christian Church, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Froelich Memorial Home in Gridley and one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Gridley cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church.

Mrs. Wilhelmine Kropfer died 3-23-1914 of a stroke. Five children, two of whom died in infancy and one at age 15. Survived by Mrs. Utesch of Bloomington, with whom she made her home and Mrs. H. Mrs. Anna M. Lage, 82, died at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday 9-26-1972 at Gibson Community Hospital. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, near Anchor. Rev. Surviving are her husband; four sons, Louis Lage, Merlin Lage, both of Anchor; Leo Lage, Colfax; Carmon Lage, Englewood, Colo; three daughters, Hazel Klintworth, Saybrook; Mildred Bielfeldt, Anchor; and Ida Watson, Normal; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Lorig, Seal Beach, Ca. Nine brothers and sisters preceded her in death. She lived in Anchor until 1945 when she moved to Gibson City. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church near Anchor.

Arnold G. Lage, 82, of Arrowsmith died at 8:38 a.m. Sunday 6-25-2000 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor, the Rev. Robert Ferro officiating; burial, with military rites accorded by Colfax American Legion, Davis-Kerber Post, will be in the church cemetery. Muriel Henry on 2-14-1947 at Sibley. She survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Cheryl Hempstead, Saybrook; and Connie Lage, Bloomington; one brother, Willard (Martha) Lage, Normal; three sisters, Luverne Frankeberger, Bee (Harold) Bielfeldt and Cleo (the Rev. Carl) Korte, all of Bloomington; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wayne Lage and Rodell Lage; and one sister, Esther Benway. Mr. Lage was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor, and had served on the Church Council. He farmed in Anchor Twp for over 40 years and had formerly worked for the McLean County Service Co. He was a member of the Colfax American Legion, Davis-Kerber Post and the McLean County Farm Bureau. He had served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are four sons, Willard C., Bloomington; Arnold of Saybrook; Rodell and Wayne, both of Gibson City; four daughters, Mrs. Carroll (Luverne) Frankeberger, Bloomington; Mrs. Harold (Bess) Bielfeldt and Mrs. Paul (Esther) Benway, both of Anchor; Mrs. Lloyd (Cleo) Kyle of Stanford; a brother, Henry of Gibson City; 19 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Anchor.

Louis H. Lage at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Anchor on 4-5-1941. Survivors include her husband, Louis H. Lage of Colfax; three sons, Richard (Annette) Lage of Annapolis, MD, Stephen (Linda) Lage of St. Charles MO and Ronald (Mary Ann) Lage of Anchor; one daughter, Ellen (Steven) Kollmann of Northbrook; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Mrs. Lage received her associates degree in teaching from Illinois State Normal University in 1935 and taught school for 17 years. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church of rural Anchor, Mrs. Lage was a member of its Dorcas Society and was a Sunday school teacher for 20 years. Mrs. Lage was a member of the McLean County Home Extension Association, Gibson Area Hospital Auxiliary and the Anchor Friendship Club for 50-plus years.
