Paul M. Senne of Algonquin
The friends and family of Paul M. Senne, 84, of Algonquin, formerly of Willow Lake Estates in Elgin, will meet for his funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee.
Born April 13, 1914, in Chicago, to Paul and Rose (nee Petrie) Senne, he died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Mr. Senne was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee.
Survivors include his daughters, Kathleen (Thomas) Hall of Lake in the Hills and Nancy J. Senne of Algonquin; daughter-in-law, Mary Senne of Medina; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Genevieve (Dan) Noren of Chicago; and brother, William (Margaret) Senne and Robert Senne, both of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Helen Senne, whom he married June 26, 1937, and who preceded him April 9, 1998; brother, Irvin; and sisters, Margaret, Marion, Rosemary and Loretta.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee, and from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the church.

Mildred J. Shadick of Lake Villa
Funeral services for Mildred J. Shadick (nee Miller), 89, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 31 Park Ave., Grayslake, IL 60030, with Father K. Kurt Behrel officiating.
Born April 2, 1909, in Chicago, she passed away Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Provena St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan. Interment will follow the services in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery
in Libertyville.
Mildred had made her home in Venetian Village since 1949. She retired in 1974 from ESO Great Lakes and had been active at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, Grayslake.
She leaves her daughters, Gail (James) Alter of Grayslake and Jackie (Richard) Homan of Ingleside; grandchildren, Lori and Julie Homan and Lisa and Dan Alter; and loving sister, MarionAxelrod of Venetian Village.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, on June 16, 1976; sister, Genevieve Ernest; and brother, Robert Miller.
Friends of the family may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.

Margaret F. Shelton of Lombard
A memorial gathering for Margaret F. Shelton, 87, a resident of Lombard for almost three years, formerly of Media, Ill., will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Mrs. Shelton died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at home. Funeral services and interment were held in Media.
Surviving are her son, Vern (Joan) Shelton of Bloomington; daughter, Phyllis (Ron) Fogel of Lombard; niece, Cookie (Jim) Knapp of Rockton; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Shelton.

Rick Steffen formerly of Waukegan

Rick was born William Richard Steffen on Aug. 13, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, and died tragically in a car accident on Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, in Douglas County, Colo., with his son, Michael Paul, the joy of his life.
Rick was a graduate of Waukegan West High School, Class of 1977, and had lived in Colorado for the past eight years. He was employed as a computer programmer by K. N. Energy in Lakewood, Colo.
He is survived by his loving wife, Winter; special daughters, Melani, Elizabeth and Lisa and granddaughter, Riley. He was a loving brother to Barbara (John) Grover of Wildwood, Diana (Bill) Neumann, Cindy Steffen and her two sons, Ryan and Stephen of Waukegan, and Steven (Becky) and their son, Billy of Beach Park.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, William, in 1984 and Mary, in 1998; sister, Susan, in 1990; and brother, Kenneth, in 1997.

Mildred E. Steffensen of Schaumburg

Mrs. Steffensen died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Holy Family Hospital, Des Plaines. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.

Florence Belle Sund of Elgin
Memorial funeral services for Florence Belle Sund, 101, formerly of Carpentersville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at First Congregational Church of Carpentersville. The Rev. Nancy Nyberg will officiate.
Born in Ridgefield, Ill., on Jan. 1, 1898, the daughter of Guy Peck and Stella Davis McMillan,she died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, at ManorHealth Services, Elgin.
Ms. Sund was a lifelong member of First Congregational Church of Carpentersville and a former 20-year employee of David C. Cook Publishing Company in Elgin. She had lived in the Elgin Carpentersville area for most of her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Donald) Blanken of West Dundee and Marilyn Melahn of Huntley; one granddaughter; five grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bessie Adams; brother, Ernest Peck; son-in-law, Art Melahn; and grandson, Patrick Melahn.

Walter L. Tesluk of Park City
Memorial services for Walter L. Tesluk, 78, will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, at Strang Funeral Home & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born Jan. 27, 1921, in Winnipeg, Canada, he passed away Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Hines Veterans Administration Hospital in Hines, Ill. Interment will be private.
Mr. Tesluk had been a resident of Park City since 1984 and was previously of Wildwood. He retired in 1982, having spent his entire career working as a carpenter. He was formerly a member of the Gagewood Lions Club for more than 25 years and was also past president of the Wildwood Improvement Association.
A veteran, he had served in the
Army during World War II in the European Theater.
Survivors include his wife, Alyce Tesluk (nee Manos), whom he married April 19, 1947, in Chicago; children, Kim (David) Newton of Lake Villa, Diane (Bruce) Nauer of Lindenhurst, and Nick (Barb) Tesluk of Albuquerque, N. M.; and grandchildren, Jenilyn and Jill Nauer, andErik and Kristen Tesluk.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gene, in 1997.

Corlette C. `C. C. ' Whistler formerly of Mount Prospect
Services for Corlette C. `C. C. ' Whistler, 83, of Springfield, Mo., will be held at 11 a.m. today, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Springfield.
Born July 1, 1915, inAnderson, Mo., to Thomas C. and Anna (nee Nestlerode) Whistler, he died Monday, March 1, 1999, at St. John's Regional Health Center. Interment services will be on Saturday, in Woodville Cemetery, Waseca, Minn., with the Rev. Roger Haug officiating.
Mr. Whistler grew up in Nebraska and left home to go to work at the age of 16 to help support the family after his father died. Eventually he went to work for the National Cash Register Company, where he became a service manager. Later he obtained his real estate license and sold residential and commercial property in Mount Prospect. He and his wife, Janice, were also the former owners of Jan Whistler Travel Agency in Mount Prospect. Mr. and Mrs. Whistler were former members of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Mount Prospect and currently were members of Messiah Lutheran Church in Springfield, where they had moved five years ago.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Janice Manthey Whistler of Springfield, Mo.; son, Timothy Ward (Xiomara) Whistler of Joplin, Mo.; brother, James R. (Mildred) Whistler of Cassville, Mo.; and grandsons, Timothy Paul, Anthony James and Dillan Lee Whistler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cornelia Nelson.

Raymond Philip Witkowski formerly of Hanover Park
Services for Raymond Philip Witkowski, 76, ofSarasota, Fla., will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 485 S. Bartlett Road, Streamwood, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Elgin.
Born Sept. 24, 1922, in Starke County, Ind., he died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at the Arbors of Sarasota. Entombment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
Mr. Witkowski had been employed by Ward Baking Company as a bread route salesman for 45 years, retiring in 1987.
He was an
Army veteran of World War II who served in the European Theater and received the Bronze Star. He was also a former member of Elks Lodge 2378, Moose Lodge 1933 and VFW Post 10178 in Englewood, Fla.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Witkowski (nee Whitsura); loving father of Raymond N. Witkowski Sr. of Sarasota, Kenneth J. Witkowski of Sycamore, Michael L. Witkowski of Kirkland, Fla., and Sharon L. Sinople of Belvidere; loving grandfather of 10; and dear brother of Violet Roeder of Mount Prospect.

Henry A. Witzke formerly of Arlington Heights
Henry A. Witzke, 78, of Englewood, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999. Interment will take place at a later date.
Mr. Witzke was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Evanston and moved to Englewood 15 years ago from Arlington Heights. Prior to his retirement, he had been a conductor for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad for 37 years.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Evelyn V. Witzke; sons, Ralph H. (Dolores) Witzke of Plantation, Fla., and Donald L. (Brenda) Witzke of Glen Ellyn; daughters, Debra L. Dumelle of Arlington Heights and Pamela J. (Paul) Deike of Kemp, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
