Ralph Kiehl
GRAYVILLE - Ralph Kiehl, 93, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Meadowood Nursing Home.
He had owned a machine shop.
He was a member of the Grayville First United Methodist Church and former member of the Grayville Chamber of Commerce and the Oak Grove cemetery Association Board of Trustees.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law who cared for him, Tom and Cindy Kiehl of Grayville; a sister, Wilma Ramsey of Grayville; a brother, Herman of Milford, Mich.; two grandchildren, Kenyon Drouillard and Julia Carlesso; and a great-grandchild.
His wife, Irene (Earnley), died in 1974 and a daughter, Marlene Drouillard, died in 1969.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home Grayville Chapel, with burial in Oak Grove cemetery.

Virgil Greentree
MOUNT CARMEL - Virgil L. "Bud" Greentree, 58, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at his home of complications of cancer.
He was a truck driver.
Surviving are his wife, Darlene; two daughters, Tressa Greentree of Mount Carmel and Louise Kennard of North Carolina; five sons, Luther, Timothy, Jeffery, Brian and Christopher, all of Mount Carmel; a sister, Vivian Padgett of Dallas; and three grandsons, Neal, Derrick and Sandy Greentree.
A daughter, Michelle Greentree, preceded him in death.
Arrangements are pending at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Ind., with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery in Princeton.
Emma Phillips
MOUNT CARMEL - Emma Katherine Phillips, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
She had worked at the Wabash General Hospital.
She was a1933 graduate of Arlington High School.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Wabash General Hospital Golden Girls and had been a Girl Scout leader of 25 years.
Surviving are six daughters, Carolyn Tolbert of Princeton, Ind., Linda Stewart of Carmel, Ind., and Rebecca Williams, Barbara Reed, Diana Wright and Louise Goldman, all of Mount Carmel; a son, James F. Phillips of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Margaret Burgess of East Alton; a brother, James H. Davis of Winter Haven, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, James F., died in 1989.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Short Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memorial cemetery.

Lola Moore
LAWRENCEVILLE - Lola Irene (Waters) Moore, 79, of Staley, N.C., died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at the home of her daughter, Kim Grevenstuk in Ramseur, N.C.
She had worked for Metro Glas as a quality inspector.
Also surviving are her husband, Ralph; a daughter, Mary Casey Swingle of Guala, Calif.; a son, Gordon of Monson, Maine; a sister, Doris Swarens of Lowell, Ind.; three brothers, Ralph Waters of Wilson, N.C., Bob Waters of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Warren Water of Wheatfield, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A daughter preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, with burial in Lawrenceville cemetery.

Jeannette Fisher
SUMNER — Jeannette Fisher, 75, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at her home. She was being treated for cancer.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Leighty of St. Francisville; a son, John Fisher of Sumner; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Stanley, and two sons, preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sivert-Macy & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, with burial in Sumner City cemetery.

Clarence Westfall
CARMI — Clarence Walter “Bud” Westfall, 81, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at his home.
He was a diamond coring engineer in the oil fields, a commercial pilot and managed Carmi’s first airport. After retiring he helped his wife in her doll business.
He was a lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II, serving as a bombardier and he was a member of Carmi American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife, Martha “Marty” Elizabeth (Logan); two sons, Jon of Carmi and Fred of Marion; two sisters, Winnie Foster and Dorothy Godare, both of Vincennes, Ind.; five grandchildren, Douglas, Michael and Jeff Westfall, Robin Sullivan and Tracy Rau; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home, with burial in White County Memorial Gardens.

Nancy Bell
McLEANSBORO — Nancy K. Bell, 54, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at McLeansboro Healthcare Center. She was disabled.
She work for Trade Industries in McLeansboro.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Enfield.
Surviving are a brother, Ronald E. of McLeansboro; and nieces and a nephews.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Maroa cemetery near Decatur.

Ann Norris
CARMI — Ann Norris, 65, died Thursday, May 11, 2000, at White County Hospital from complications of cancer.
She retired as a laboratory technician for the waste water department of the city of Carmi after 17 years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Carmi.
Surviving are a daughter, Gayla Nelson of Carmi; four sons, Ed Smith and Aubrey D. Wheeler, both of Carmi, Scott Wheeler of Lexington, Ky., and Jerry Wheeler of Norris City; two sisters, Joyce Martin and Pat Marler, both of Carmi; four brothers, Marshall, Richard and Robert Pollard, all of Carmi and Bill Pollard of Enfield. 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Her husband, Devon Newell “Joe” Norris, died in 1998.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Campbell Funeral Home, with burial in Kuykendall cemetery.

Grace Moreland
HARRISBURG — Grace Davis Moreland died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
She had worked for Federal Wholesale as a sales representative.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Black of Morton; a son, Jim of McLeansboro; five grandchildren, Jason, Shannon and Sherman Black and Esther and Travis Moreland; and two great-grandchildren.
A son, Billy Bob, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. at Wasson Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Wolf Creek cemetery.

LAWRENCEVILLE — Wilma Gowen, 58, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at her home in Vincennes, Ind.
She had worked for Suttle Telephone.
Surviving are a son, Doug of Lawrenceville; three daughters, Cheryl Salesman of Lawrenceville, Carla Carie of West Lafayette, Ind., and Cammy Gowen of Bloomington, Ind.; six brothers, Harold Woodward of Vincennes, Tom and Tim Woodward, both of Flat Rock, Jack Woodward of Connersville, Ind., and Dick and Bill Woodward, both of Lawrenceville; six sisters, Rachel Hunsaker, Betty Shultz and Bertha Pinkstaff, all of Lawrenceville, Edna Hall and Wanda Burton, both of Connersville, Ind., and Lucy Silver of Evansville; and six grandchildren.
