ENFIELD, Ill. — Marguerite G. Etienne, 84, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at the Enfield Healthcare Center.
She had worked at the sewing factory and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosemarie Travers of Aurora, Colo., and Ruth Ann Repoff of Sprakers, N.Y.; a sister, Anna Louis Deom of Springerton; a grandchild, Heather Simmons of Creal Springs; and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Victor, died in 1981.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Elledge Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
Clyde Poore
CARMI, Ill. — Clyde D. Poore, 86, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at White County Medical Center Skilled Care Unit.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Kron of Greenback, Tenn., and Ruth Yates of Morton; a son, Don of Springerton; a sister, Edna Galloway of Olney; a brother, Wilbur of Champaign; four grandchildren, Julie Jordan, Stewart and Donnie Poore and Brenda Yates; and six great-grandchildren.
His wife of 59 years, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Enfield cemetery. Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
James Bledsoe
ALLENDALE, Ill. — James Bledsoe, 68, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of cancer.
He worked as an electrician for the Mount Carmel Public Utility.
He was a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Jones of Orlando, Fla., and Teresa Bledsoe of Mount Carmel; three sons, Gary and David, both of St. Cloud, Fla., and Brad of Warsaw, Ky.; four sisters, Mary Kassinger of St. Francisville, Ruth Pemberton of Albion, Doris Jones of Lawrenceville and Alma Pinnick of Bridgeport; a brother, John of St. Francisville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
His wife, Hazel, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Oak Lawn cemetery in St. Francisville.
There will be no visitation at Cunningham Funeral Home in Mount Carmel.
Helen Vandever
MOUNT CARMEL, Ill. — Helen E. Vandever, 83, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at her home.
She retired from the McLeansboro school system as cafeteria manager.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the ladies auxiliaries of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are her husband, Harold; a daughter, Lee Ann Elimon of Mahomet; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Highland Memorial cemetery.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill. — Esther Louise Tedford, 88, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Allison Prairie Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are a daughter, Treva White of Olney; two sons, Lawrence of Mount Carmel and Max of Robinson; three sisters, Margaret Brian of Lawrenceville, Lucille Rahmeyer of St. Clair, Mich., and Marie Ducharme of Flat Rock; and eight grandchildren, Brent, Chris, Sara, Tyler and Kent Tedford, Amy Mulcahey, Judy Talley and Lori Andersen.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Allison Prairie Church of the Brethren, with burial in Centerville cemetery.

Roberta Eck
GRAYVILLE, Ill. — Roberta Eck, 83, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville.
She was a retired factory worker.
She was a member of Grayville Church of God.
Surviving are two daughters, Caroline Andrini and Gertrude Irvine Mason, both of Grayville; two sisters, Beulah Eck and Ruth Risley, both of Grayville; a brother, Clifford Christy of Newport, N.C.; five grandchildren, Richard Irvine, Rebecca Harris, Christopher and Michele Andrini and Pamela Cardiff; nine great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home Grayville Chapel, with burial in Oak Grove cemetery.

Rollin Kiefer
CARMI, Ill. — Rollin S. Kiefer, 71, died Friday, March 17, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville of heart failure.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Adams; a daughter, Sherrie Duvall of Lockport; his mother, Hester Kiefer of Grayville; a brother, Earnie D. of Grayville; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at White County Memorial Garden Chapel, with burial in the cemetery.

Ethel Ford
CARMI, Ill. — Ethel Lucille Ford, 88, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at White County Medical Center.
She was self-employed as a seamstress and interior decorator in Sullivan, Ind., and a volunteer at Mary Sherman Hospital.
She was a member of the First Christian Churches in Sullivan and Carmi and a member of both church choirs. She also was a member of the Sullivan County Homemakers and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, holding local and state offices.
Surviving are four daughters, Betty Brown of Carmi, Judy Parks of Boonville, Ind., Sue Lang of Kansas, Okla., and Sandra Yates of Clearwater, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Ralph H., died in 1970.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Sullivan, Ind., with burial in Center Ridge cemetery in Sullivan.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi and from 1 p.m. to service time at the church.
Penny Principie
ALBION, Ill. — Penny Principie, 67, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of cancer.
She had worked as a bookkeeper in a nursing home.
She was a member and chaplain of the Albion Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Albion American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are two daughters, Debi Stieber of Bone Gap and Brenda McRoberts of Browns; two sons, Rick Comer of Michigan City, Ind., and Rob Comer of Clovis, Calif.; her mother, Janettia Bailey of rural Palestine; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palestine cemetery.

Alta Fearn
CISNE, Ill. — Alta A. Fearn, 91, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at Wayfair Restorium in Fairfield.
She was a member of Cisne United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Albert of Harmon, Okla., Jack of Cisne and Max of Kentucky; three sisters, Leota Tannahill, Hazel Grubb of McLeansboro and Henrietta Holstein of Fairfield; two brothers, Ruel and Roy Fred Scott, both of Fairfield; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Roy, died in 1994.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hosselton Funeral Home, with burial in Bestow cemetery in Geff.

Rev. Richard Schmidt
BONE GAP, Ill. — the Rev. Richard Charles Schmidt, 64, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney of cancer.
He was a minister in Southern Illinois for 32 years, serving as minister of the Bone Gap and Browns Methodist Churches for 11 years and was to retire in June 2000.
Delmar Hedger
ELDORADO, Ill. — Delmar Belmont Hedger, 92, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at White County Skilled Care.
He was a Navy veteran.
Surviving are two daughters, Kitty Edwards of Scheller and Janet Lytle of Norris City; four sons, Delmar Jr. of Wooddale, James of Springfield, John David and Wade of Harrisburg; and a granddaugther, Dana Garlick.
He was preceded in death by three daughters, Alice Hedger, Shirley Pearce and Thelma Smith.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Wolf Creek cemetery.
