Services for Tillie H. Riedel, 89, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, Ill.
She died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998. Cremation will follow.
Survivors include her sons, Glenn (Jan) Riedel and Harry (Linda) Riedel; grandchildren, Lynne (Ron) Zadrozny, Glenn (Gina) Riedel, Brian (Bernie) Riedel, Jeff (Sylvia) Riedel and Alex Riedel; and six great-grandchildren.

Meredith A. Alfredo of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Meredith A. Alfredo (nee Vickers), 78, will be said at 9 a.m. Thursday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Edna Catholic Church, Arlington Heights.
Born July 22, 1920, in Marion, Ind., she died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, at home. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
A homemaker, Mrs. Alfredo enjoyed travel, luncheon and playing cards with her friends and was very active until her death.
When her husband William died, she took over Elections Inc. of Chicago and also had a silk flower business.
She was the wife of the late William P.; mother of William P. Jr. of Iowa, Donna Lu (Robert) Wardanian of Arlington Heights, Deborah Cole (Raymond) Giese of Arlington Heights and the late Merry Jo (Richard) Heiny; grandmother of Denise (Scott) Teasdale, Raquel Heiny, Anne and Katherine Alfredo, Daniel and Andrew Giese and the late Steven Heiny; great-grandmother of Richard Graham Teasdale; daughter of the late Victor Vickers and Chloe Vickers Humbrecht and sister of the late Charles and Victor Vickers.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Dorothy M. Bartolini of Lake Bluff
Funeral services for Dorothy M. Bartolini, 82, a lifelong residentof Chicago until three years ago, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville.
Born March 8, 1916, in Chicago, she passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at the Lake Knoll Healthcare Center in Lake Bluff. Interment will follow the services in Montrose cemetery, Chicago.
Before her retirement, Dorothy had been employed by J. J. Tourek Manufacturing Company in Elk Grove Village.
Surviving are her children, Judith Bartolini of Vernon Hills and Louis Bartolini of Chicago, and dear friend, Vickie Kukulski of Vernon Hills.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Martha Hertel; her husband, Livio Bartolini, in 1951; and sisters, Frances Hertel in 1915 and Martha Pryde in 1994.
Friends of the family may call at the funeral home from 4 to8 p.m. today.

Janett Hill of Lake Zurich
A memorial service for Janett Hill will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Lake Zurich.
She passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 1998.
She was the beloved mother of Anne, Sharon and Debbie; grandmother of John and Tim; and great-grandmother of Stephanie.

Heidy Maria James
Funeral services for Heidy Maria James (nee Goettfert), 32, will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, at Pedersen- Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Road (three blocks north of North Ave. ), Elmhurst, going to St. Isidore Church for a 10 a.m. Mass.
She died suddenly Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998. Interment will be in Town of Maine cemetery, Des Plaines.
She was the beloved wife of Michael; devoted daughter of John and the late Katharina Goettfert; fond daughter-in-law of Jesse and Maureen James; dear sister of Anita (Mark) Gorski and John M. Goettfert; sister-in-law of Colleen (Robert) White and Kelly James; proud aunt of five nieces and nephews; and dearest godmother of Miranda Gorski and Ben Montesanto.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the mortuary.

Donald Jobe of Batavia
Services for Donald Jobe, 62, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Yurs Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia. Rev. Richard F. Watts will officiate.
Born Oct. 3, 1936, in Simpson, Ill., the son of William and Elnora (nee Palmer) Jobe, he died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, at home. Interment will be private.
He was united in marriage to Rosemary (nee Bradley) Jobe on June 30, 1956, in Batavia. Don wasa retired sergeant detective for the Illinois State Police, District 15, and was a member of the Illinois Police Association. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf at his favorite course in North Aurora, Valley Green Golf Course. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an antique dealer and shared an antique shop in St. Charles.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Batavia.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Jobe; sons, Doug (Laurie) Jobe of Batavia and Greg (Kelly) Jobe of North Aurora and their son, Ryan David Jobe; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will befrom 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Phyllis T. Johnson of Lake In The Hills
A memorial service for Phyllis T. Johnson, 49, will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, at St. Barnabas Lutheran Church, Cary. Rev. Richard Holmer will officiate.
Born Aug. 10, 1949, in Geneseo, Ill., the daughter of Juanita and Wesley Terpening, she died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, at Sherman Hospital. Interment will be private.
On Nov. 9, 1968, she married David Johnson in Geneseo. She was a charter member of the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce, St. Barnabas Lutheran Church and choir, president of the local A. A. L. Branch, facilitator of A. A. L. training of the Wisetuhoff Agency, former state board member of A. A. L. and an active member of E. L. C. A. Northern Illinois Synod.
Survivors include her husband, David; daughter, Elaine of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Jamie, Glenn and Tony; mother, Juanita; sisters, Norma (Russ) Colman of Burke, Va. and Beth (Kyle) Miller of Wheaton; and brother, Paul (Kay) of Geneseo.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary.

Joyce A. Knapik of Mount Prospect
A funeral Mass for Joyce A. Knapik (nee Cote), 57, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Raymond Catholic Church, 301 S. Ioka (Ioka and Elmhurst), Mount Prospect.
Born Oct. 4, 1941, in South Bend, Ind., she died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998. Burial will be in Memory Garden cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Knapik was employed as a data entry clerk for Wheels, Inc. in Des Plaines.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Frank Knapik; daughter, Christine (Robert) Goodman; son, Daniel (Michele) Knapik; grandchildren, Michael and Amy Goodman, and Baby Knapik; and sisters, Shirley Clifton and Carol Anderson.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, and from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass Thursday, at the church.

Lt. Paul H. LaDouceur Jr., CFD of Chicago
Services for Lt. Paul H. LaDouceur Jr., 57, retired from the Chicago Fire Department, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton.
He died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998. Interment will be private.
Lt. LaDouceur had retired in 1996 after 30 years with the Chicago Fire Department. He was active in church ministries with the Northwest Assembly of God Church in Mount Prospect and was a member of the Chicago Christian Firefighters Association. He was also an author.
He was the loving son of the late Paul H. Sr. and Alberta LaDouceur; beloved brother of Gary (Sherry), Jeanne Mabbitt, David and Rick (Jan) LaDouceur; fond uncle of seven nieces and two nephews; and great-uncle of five.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Paul LaDouceur Memorial Fund, c/o the funeral home would be appreciated.

Robert C. Lash of Arlington Heights
Services for Robert C. Lash, 74, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Lewin Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Fremont, Wis.
Born Feb. 25, 1924, in Moline, Ill., he died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights. Burial will be in Wolf River cemetery, Fremont, Wis.
A member of First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights, he served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Fink; and sons, Michael, Robert John and Christopher.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of services Thursday, at the funeral home.
