Barbara Thompson

Barbara A. Thompson, 49, Chubbuck, passed away, Monday, December 27, 2010 at a local medical center.

She was born December 1, 1961 at Grove City, Pennsylvania to Marlin C. and Joanne Montgomery Thompson.

She married Craig Burrows and was later divorced.

She later married Don Thorpe and was later divorced.

She spent the rest of her life with Jerry Coffman who preceded her in death last year.

She worked at Heinz as a Material Planner where she was employed for the last 17 years.

Barbara’s biggest enjoyment in life was her grandchildren.

She loved spending time with them.

She enjoyed camping, fishing and cross country skiing.

She was an avid gardener and took pride in her garden and her yard.

She is survived by 3 sons, Darren McDowell of Dayton, Florida, Jake Burrows of Pocatello, and Travis Burrows of Pocatello; 7 grandchildren, Kaydynn, Tristan, Braxton, Makenna, Roslynn, Porter and Amelia; siblings, Diana McDowell, Linda Murtens, Robert Thompson, Ron Thompson, and Nancy Rectenwald; and 12 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Jerry Coffman.

Memorial services will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, with Reverend Roger Bray officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the funeral home Friday.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello (232-0542.)

Jess Ellis

Jess H. Ellis, 93, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2008 at his home with his family at his side.

He was born on June 12, 1915 in Blackfoot, Idaho.

He was married to Marjorie E. Snyder for 67 years and together they had six children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He served in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.

Jess was loved by all because he was such an easy going, kind man.

He loved spending time at the cabin that he built for his family in Island Park, Idaho and he truly enjoyed the outdoors.

He also enjoyed building things and was an amazing craftsman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one grandson, and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mountain View cemetery section, 39 East, with Military Rites by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:50 p.m. in the Cornelison ~ Henderson Funeral Home, 431 North 15th Ave. Pocatello.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pocatello Veteran’s Honor Guard in care of Richard Hollingsworth, Comm., 9502 Gibson Jack, Pocatello, Idaho 83204.

Adrian Seaman

Adrian Seaman, 64, Fort Hall, died Monday, December 29, 2008 at a local medical center.

He was born May 18, 1944 at Fort Hall, Idaho to Gans and Bess C. Evening Seaman.

He graduated from High School in Oklahoma and attended some college.

He enlisted in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War and was stationed in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Hawaii and several other countries.

He married Alta Browning in 1971 at Fort Hall, Idaho.

He was currently working as a certified Drug and Substance Abuse Counselor for the Shoshone Bannock Tribes.

Adrian had been employed at B.E. in the old naval ordinance plant and at Steel West as a certified welder.

He enjoyed reading and since its inception of the Shoshone Reunion.

He loved sports especially the L.A. Lakers.

He was a member of the Native American Church.

He served on the Shoshone Bannock tribal council form 2001-2003.

He is survived by his wife Alta; his children Leah (Wayne) Hardy, Edward Seaman, Steven Seaman, Delverne Seaman, Alellyn and Danzil LeClaire and Darneal Browning all of Pocatello; grandchildren Danny, Annamarie, Tia, Brenden and Roosevelt; one sister Loretta Seaman; three daughters Michelle, Loretta Jr. and Sunshine.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Traditional Native American Services will be held Thursday, January 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ross Fork cemetery in Fort Hall.

The family will receive friends at the Browning residence at Hiline and Reservation Roads after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30th until services on Thursday.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison - Henderson Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello.

Ernest Selders

Ernest C. (Clarence) Selders, 85, Pocatello, passed away, early Saturday morning, December 25, 2010.

Ernest was born May 15, 1925 to Charles Edward and Harriet A. Selders in a family home on the corner of McKinley and Cedar Streets in Pocatello.

He was the ninth of ten children: Charles, Velma Daniels, Mildred Bertwell, Lester, Ruth Wright, Sarah Selders, Lewis, Dorothy Henderson and Betty Hutchens.

He attended Roosevelt, Tyhee, Irving and graduating from Pocatello High School in 1943.

He joined the Navy in Dec. 1944.

He was honorably discharged in Aug. 1946.

While he was in the Navy during World War II he was a Radar operator and technician aboard a Navy attack transport that was involved in 5 amphibious landings on South Pacific Islands.

He married Glenda Schneider Dec. 6, 1947.

Three sons were born to this union, John, Curt, and Gary.

He worked 36 years at FMC, retiring May 15, 1987. Glenda retired from her job at the same time.

They traveled by RV as long as health permitted.

They enjoyed and loved each other through all these years.

He was a member of the Central Christian Church and held several offices including President of the Congregation, Elders and a Sunday School teacher.

He was preceded by death by his parents and all his siblings and a grandson, Joey.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Glenda; his sons, John, Curt (Annette), Gary (Jill); 6 grandchildren, Gina (Kyle) Moon, Josh Selders, Sarah Anderson, Eric (Trisha), Sunnie (Aaron) Simmons, and Kent Selders; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Central Christian Church, 918 E. Center St., Pocatello.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello.

Interment will be in the Mountain View cemetery, Pocatello, with military graveside rites by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.

Thanks to Rev. Roger Bray for the care given to him during his illness and Creekside Hospice Care for their care.

He was very appreciate of all this special care and love.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello.

Clara E. Scott

Clara Harman Scott, 87, former Firth resident, who had been living at her daughter’s home in Pocatello for the past 10 years, passed away, Monday afternoon, December 27, 2010.

She was born on January 24, 1923 at Thomas, Idaho to Raymond Mathias and Martha Drucilla Williams Harman.

Clara attended schools in Wilson, Pingree, graduated from the 8th grade in Rockford and also from Thomas High School.

She married Eldon Scott on September 20, 1942 in Pingree, Idaho.

Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple on November 23, 1942.

Clara enjoyed sewing, canning, crocheting, ceramics, quilting and loved and enjoyed her family and friends.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she had served in the Primary, Young Women’s, Girls Camp Director, Relief Society, Sunday School and Ward Library.

Clara and Eldon farmed in Wapello for 40 years, retiring and moving to Firth in l982.

She is survived by a son, Carl (Carol) Scott, Elkhorn, Nebraska; five daughters, Karen (Craig) Lloyd, Wapello; Colleen (Charles) Call, Idaho Falls; Brenda (Bob) Cornelison, Pocatello; Janice (Bruce) Anthony, Firth and Donna (Thomas) Bevan, Blackfoot.

27 Grandchildren and 38 Great-Grandchildren.

A brother, Bob (Valerie) Harman, Terry, Montana; two sisters, Mary (Neil) Sterr, Pocatello and Rayola Fredrickson, Missoula, Montana.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon on June 7, 1998, a daughter, Drucilla, eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Firth L.D.S. Ward Chapel, with President Bruce Anthony of the Firth Stake Presidency conducting.

The family will receive friends at the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. Ave., Pocatello from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening, January 5th and at the Church from 10-10:45 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Interment will follow services in the Grove City cemetery in Blackfoot.

Memorials may be given in Clara’s memory to the L.D.S. Church Perpetual Education Fund in care of Bishop Nathan R. Long, Highland 6th Ward, 1405 Kelly Court, Pocatello, Idaho 83201.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home.

Larry Perreault

Larry David Perreault, 71, Pocatello, died Saturday evening, December 20, 2008 at his home.

Larry was born on August 15, 1937 at Oneka Township, Minnesota to Dennis A. and Dorothy D. Trudeau Perreault.

He served in the United States Air Force as an air craft mechanic, attaining the rank of E-4 during the Viet Nam War.

He married Barbara Lutz and they were later divorced.

He married Shirley Leftler on November 28, 1980 at Reno, Nevada and she preceded him in death on May 20, 2006.

He was employed as an Independent Trucker for many years, retiring in 2006 because of ill health.

Larry enjoyed collecting guns, fishing, hunting, camping and all out of door activities.

He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Larry is survived by his children, Michael Perreault; Robert Perreault; Julie Buechner; David Perreault; Denise Brown; Sharyl Spiegel; Robin Stanger; Rodney Hamlin and Teresa Blackmore.

Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Three brothers, Norm; Dale and Rick. Three sisters, Marcella; Sharon and Linda.

He was preceded in death besides his wife, by a daughter, Rita and a brother Don.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cornelison-Henderson Funeral Chapel, 431 North 15th Ave. Pocatello with Deacon Bill Duggan of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Cornelison - Henderson Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.

Burial will be in the Inkom cemetery.
