Doris Marie Anderson
ASHLAND, Ore. -- Doris Marie Anderson, 73, of Ashland, Ore., passed from this life to life everlasting on March 13, 2005, at Providence Medical Center.
A memorial service was held at Skylark Assisted Living in Ashland, Ore., on March 24th.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on April 15th, at the West End cemetery in Buhl, Idaho. Her son, Pastor Mark Anderson, will officiate.
Doris was born to Thomas and Mabel Smith on July 8th, 1931, in Castleford, Idaho. She attended elementary and high school in Buhl, Idaho, where she graduated from high school in 1949. She also attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. In 1952, Doris married Edward Anderson and together they had four sons.
Edward preceded her in death in 1992.
Doris taught in the elementary school in Shoshone, Idaho, for several years before moving to Oregon. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and many friends. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her sons, Tom of Boise, Idaho, Mark (Marji) of Talent, Ore., James (Karen) of Vancouver, Wash., Jacob (Penny) of Phoenix, Ore.; and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sister and brother, Dorothy Dean of Boise, Idaho, and Ormond Smith of Buhl, Idaho.
Her parents and one grandchild also preceded her in death.

Marjorie Helen Dykstra Stevens
RUPERT -- Marge was born on Sept. 21, 1921, in Crabtree, Ore., to Nathan and Martha Dykstra. She died on March 26, 2005, at the home of her granddaughter in Boise, Idaho, with family members at her side.
Her mother died when she was a young child and she was raised by her father. He died when Marge was 17. The goodness in her upbringing sustained her throughout her life.
Marge married Ed Stevens and they raised five children in Rupert, Idaho.
She is survived by one son, Ted; and three daughters, Marie, Penny and Martha; one brother, Ted Howell of Longview, Wash.; and one sister, Marie Rodriguez of Hermiston, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husband and by her son, Edward.
Marge loved her church and her many friends and she remained a formidable Scrabble player all her life.
A memorial Mass for Marge was held at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Rupert on March 28.

Mary Stanger Hill
BURLEY -- Mary Stanger Hill died April 8, 2005, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Jack Funk, at the age of 97 surrounded by a loving and caring family.
She was the seventh child of Charles and Martha Stanger. She and her twin brother, George, were born Feb. 20, 1908, in American Falls, Idaho, into a family of nine siblings, four sisters and five brothers. Her family moved to the View area in 1924. She attended schools in American Falls and Burley.
She married James Harris Hill on Oct. 25, 1927. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on June 26, 1945. They lived in a variety of places in the state of Idaho. Mary helped her husband on the farm. She worked in the ladies dress department in Sears and managed the Sweetbriar Shop in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was a top sales lady for the Mayfair Shop in Twin Falls and Burley, Idaho. Mary made salads and desserts along with being the cashier for the Simplot plant cafeteria. She and Jim took care of the Simplot and Albertson properties in McCall. They also had a firewood business while living in McCall, Idaho.
Her hand-crocheted afghans and knitted dishcloths were given to children and grandchildren for special occasions of birth, graduation, marriage and Christmas. She was a marvelous cook and loved to tend and cultivate flower and vegetable gardens. Reading and giving service to others were other hobbies for her. However, working was her very favorite hobby.
Mary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in Primary, Young Women, Sunday school and Relief Society organizations. Visiting teaching was a calling she had for over 75 years and faithfully rendered love and compassion to many women.
A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, often attending drama, choir, dance, sports, Eagle courts, graduations, weddings and chariot horse racing events which often times required many hours of travel.
She leaves a loving family, Bonnie (Jack) Funk of Burley, Idaho, James Richard (Nola) Hill of Alta Loma, Calif., and Georgia (Sherwood) Ricks of Rexburg, Idaho, along with a special young man raised by Mary and Jim, Jerry (Thelma) Bailey of Wendell, Idaho; 20 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, a granddaughter-in-law, and a great-granddaughter, her parents and nine siblings and their wives. She is also the last of her husband's siblings and wives.
The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at the Unity 2nd Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 275 S. 250 E., Burley, Idaho, with Bishop Lonnie Downs officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View cemetery. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Payne Mortuary, 221 W. Main St., Burley, and from 10:30 until 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Thomas Melvin Wymer
RUPERT/JACKSON -- Thomas Melvin Wymer, 87, of Rupert, passed away April 8, 2005, at his home.
Thomas was born April 7, 1918, to Thomas B. and Hazel Hawk Wymer in Kuna, Idaho, where he lived as a child. He later moved to Boise and then to San Francisco during the war. He served in the Navy for three years. Thomas and his wife moved to Rupert in 1961 after living around the Boise area.
Thomas was a man of education. He had several bachelor's degrees and nearly completed his master's degree. Thomas was not only an educator but he also worked as a barber and later for the J.R. Simplot Co. Along with loving to work, he enjoyed painting, fishing and traveling.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Stella A. Brown Wymer, and his son, Thomas D. Wymer of Rupert/Jackson area. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Katherine Wymer.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at the Hansen Mortuary Rupert Chapel, 710 Sixth St., with Pastor Dan Lovelace officiating. Military rites will be provided by local Veterans of Foreign Wars and Declo American Legion.

Steve E. Whitehead
MACKAY -- Steve E. Whitehead, 57, of Mackay, Idaho, and formerly of Pocatello and Twin Falls, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at his home in Mackay following a courageous battle with cancer.
Steve was born on Aug. 7, 1947, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the son of Elwood K. "Duke" and Altha Wells Whitehead. He grew up and attended schools in Twin Falls, graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1964. Following high school he moved to Pocatello, where he worked various jobs before finding his lifelong love of driving truck. Steve co-owned and operated Idaho Atlantic Trucking Company with his dad for over 30 years in Pocatello and then recently owned and operated a trucking company in Mackay for the last three years until ill health forced him to retire.
Steve enjoyed collecting and restoring classic cars, and he loved to go out and clean and polish his truck. Steve loved his family and especially his step-grandchildren and dogs.
Steve is survived by his wife, Michele of Mackay; four step-children, Jillian Carte of Emmett, Jerod Serrano of Mackay, Jamis Thompson of Emmett and Jacob Serrano of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Altha Suzanne Chugg of Pocatello and Tina Rene' Winifred Gerkman of Anchorage, Alaska; and one brother, Duke Wells Whitehead of Mackay. Also surviving are his eight step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Edith Jerilyn Whitehead.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, at his home, 520 Pine St. in Mackay. An open house will continue with stories and fellowship from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the home. At Steve's request, there will be no public viewing. Services and cremation are under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls.

Elizabeth 'Irene' Evans
TWIN FALLS -- Elizabeth "Irene" Evans, 88, of Twin Falls and formerly of Boise, went to heaven Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Desert Rose Retirement Estate in Twin Falls.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2005, at the Church of Christ, 2000 Eldorado St., Boise, Idaho. Minister Mike Sanders will officiate. Burial will follow at Cloverdale Memorial Park in Boise. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2005, at the Church of Christ in Boise. Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Chapel, 2158 Fourth Ave. E., Twin Falls.
Irene was born on April 15, 1916, at Totty's Bend, Tenn., to Lewis and Ethel Totty. She was raised and educated in Tennessee. She married R.C. Sanders in December of 1937. Their marriage was blessed with a son, Ronald Sanders. After her husband's death in 1947, she later remarried Richard Lee Evans on Dec. 5, 1948. Their union was blessed with a son, Richard Lee Evans Jr., and a daughter, Sandra Evans. While living in Tennessee, she taught in a one-room school house, grades first through sixth. After moving to Idaho in 1948, she taught in a private kindergarten for six years.
Her hobbies and activities included cooking at Camp Ivydale in Idaho City for thirty-eight years. She cooked many dinners and baked pies for pie auctions to raise money for the camp. Irene was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was president of Women for Christian Education. With the WCE's help, they purchased building materials for doors, window shutters, and many improvements in the kitchen at Camp Ivydale. She volunteered in Vacation Bible School for thirty-five years, and held Bible studies in her and her husband's home. Irene was also in charge of making comforters and quilts during Ladies Bible Class. They made them for orphanages and nursing homes. She made very special comforters for weddings and baby showers.
Irene leaves behind a son, Ronald C. (Sue) Sanders of McCall, Idaho; a daughter, Sandra (Jerry) Shafer of Buhl; nine grandchildren and was G.G. "Rene" to nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold (Ruby) Totty of Totty's Bend, Tenn.; one sister, Sue (Ed) Baker of Shady Grove, Tenn.; 12 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many beloved nieces, nephews, and numerous good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Airforce Sgt. R.C. Sanders; second husband, Marine Airsupport Sgt. Richard Lee Evans; one son, Richard Lee Evans Jr. at age 11; four brothers and two sisters.
"My Love to All," says Irene.
Countless family and friends will miss you "Mom," "Grandma," "G.G. Rene," "Aunt Irene," "Dickarene," and "Mrs. Camp Ivydale." She will be missed by all who met her.
Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made in Irene's name to Camp Ivydale, c/o Church of Christ, 2000 Eldorado St., Boise, ID 83704.

William (Bill) Donald Reeves
KIMBERLY -- William (Bill) Donald Reeves, 71, a resident of Kimberly, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 10, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bill was born in Turkey, Texas, on Aug. 18, 1933, the son of Roy and Edna Reeves. The family made their journey to Idaho, where Bill attended school in Kimberly. This is where he met the love of his life, Laura Heath, and they were married on Aug. 18, 1952. Of this union, their four sons, Doug, Rod, Mike and Bob were born. From the age of 17, Bill bought his first hay truck and began building a business for himself and his family. Soon, his sons were working by his side. He spent his summers contracting hay for various ranches in Northern Nevada and in the winter grinding hay for dairies and feed-lots. Bill enjoyed playing cards or game of pool or snooker. Bill always had time to share his wisdom and stories to his family and friends and his knowledge will be greatly missed.
Bill is survived by his wife, Laura; his sons, Doug (Theresa), Rod (Becky), Mike (Julie) and Bob (Ying) all of Kimberly; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Perkins; and brother, Dan (Allie) Reeves of Twin Falls.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Reeves; and mother, Edna Reeves; and two brothers, Dean Coats and Richard Reeves.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho. With a funeral service being held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at Parke's Funeral Home.
My darling husband, Dad and Grandpa, you will always be in our hearts then, now and forever. No one is forever gone as long as there is someone left to remember them.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of their choice.

Lawrence Walter (Shorty) Loughmiller
TWIN FALLS -- Lawrence Walter (Shorty) Loughmiller, 90, of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Sky Valley, Calif., died peacefully after a long illness, on Sunday, April 10, 2005, in Boise, Idaho.
L.W. was born on Nov. 17, 1914, near Havensville, Kan., to Walter Jacob and Avis (Fordham) Loughmiller. He graduated from Havensville High School. He moved to Buhl, Idaho, in 1939. That same year he married Mabel Pauline Foster from Emmett, Kan., on July 23. They made their home in Buhl and farmed in the Magic Valley for 44 years. They were blessed with three boys, Larry, Bob and Don.
L.W. loved to camp, fish and in retirement continued his love of farming by gardening and growing flowers. He also loved working with his hands and was good with woodworking. He always had a smile on his face and loved spending time with his family. His family will greatly miss him and his fun sense of humor.
L.W. is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mabel; sons, Larry (Sudchai) Loughmiller of Valencia, Calif., Bob (Sally) Loughmiller of Boise, Idaho, and Don (Gail) Loughmiller of Nampa, Idaho; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to the Twin Falls, Idaho, or Desert Hot Springs, Calif., United Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at White Mortuary in Twin Falls, Idaho. The funeral service to honor L.W. will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2005, at United Methodist Church in Twin Falls. Interment will follow at the Twin Falls cemetery.

Daniel Roy Fuller
BOISE -- Daniel Roy Fuller passed away on April 7, 2005.
He was born on July 31, 1960, at the Twin Falls County Hospital, Idaho, to Wesley M. and Emma Fuller.
His wife, Joann; and daughter, Jessica; son, Shawn (from previous marriage); and granddaughter, Savannah; two sisters, DeAnna (Tracy) Marler and niece, Danielle, and Denise (Jim) Haas; his mother and father survive him.
Dan lived in Buhl, Idaho, until 1967, when his family moved to Boise, Idaho.
He lived the majority of his life in Boise, Idaho, and was a graduate of Capital High School. Dan married Joann Potter on Aug. 17, 1984. Their daughter, Jessica Annerose Fuller, was born on March 20, 1992. Dan was a loving and devoted husband and father, whose greatest moments were spending time with JoAnn and Jessica in the mountains.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved the outdoors. He often volunteered his time to help others. Dan enjoyed learning and spent many hours working on his hobbies, which included his love for auto mechanics and cars. Dan's automobile projects were a work in progress, as his family and friends always knew. He worked in different building trades throughout his life, including gas pipe-fitting, furnace installer and electrician. He worked for Keller Supply at the time of his death. His loss will be mourned.
A private service was held at the family home. Cremation is under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.

Frances E. Harris
TWIN FALLS -- Frances E. Harris, 99, of Twin Falls, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2005, at Bridgeview Estates in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Frances was born Jan. 22, 1906, in Oshkosh, Wis., the daughter of Ben and Edna Chase O'Harrow. As a young girl, her family moved to Idaho where Frances graduated Jerome High School, received her teaching certificate from Albion Normal School, became a schoolteacher; started teaching at the Jerome Grade School and then later at the Russell Ling School in Jerome, Idaho. In 1928, she met and married Bryan Harris and became a farm wife. They moved to Eden, Idaho, and resided there until 1934, when they moved to the farm in Hansen and resided there until 1975.
They then moved to the town of Hansen, where they lived until Bryan passed away in 1979. She continued to reside there until 1996 and then moved to Twin Falls. Frances worked in cooking and assisting with the many farm duties from 1934 to1975.
In 1975, when they moved into Hansen, Frances established the Hansen Library. She was active in the Hansen United Methodist Church and the Kimberly Crossroads United Methodist Church in Kimberly, Idaho. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women and Royal Neighbors. She was always continuing her education and obtained her bachelor's degree at the age of 80 years. She then continued on to receive her masters from Idaho State University. She always loved helping others and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving Frances is her son, Bryan (Shirley) Harris of Hansen, Idaho; three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her parents; one brother, Capp O'Harrow; and her beloved husband, Bryan; preceded her in death.
A funeral for Frances will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005, at the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, with Pastor Jerry Steele of the Crossroads Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be held following the service at the Twin Falls cemetery in Twin Falls, Idaho. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Kimberly Crossroads United Methodist Church Building Fund or to the Hansen Library.
