Mary “Jill” (Wedewer) Schaudt, 57
Mary “Jill” Schaudt, passed away at her home in Sagle, Idaho Oct. 8, 2007.
Jill was born in Manchester, Iowa on Jan. 14, 1950 to Alfred and Genevieve (Hogan) Wedewer, and grew up in Dyersville, IA.
She attended the University of Iowa where she met her husband Bill in 1973. They were married Dec. 26, 1975 in Breckenridge, Colorado. Jill and Bill lived in Colorado for four years before moving to Sandpoint, Idaho in 1977, and later to Sagle.
Jill worked as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant at Sandpoint Marina and Cedar Street Electric, as a bookkeeper for the Sagle Fire Department and as a banker at Panhandle State Bank. She also worked as a Realtor’s assistant at Panhandle Kaniksu prior to retiring. Jill was a long time member of the Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club.
Jill was a writer, loved to bake cookies, collect rocks, and read. She loved to read fiction above all, but also enjoyed well-written biographies, true stories, and reference materials, especially cultural history. Jill believed that a life of reading is a life of learning and that no other pastime is so rewarding. That is, until, in June 2004, when Jill discovered scrapbooking and card making. These activities allowed her imagination and creativity to flow, and best of all, it provided her an avenue to share her talents with countless others.
Jill was known for her creative style and imagination, her love and compassion for animals, her genuine curiosity and generosity. She will be remembered for her warmth and acceptance of friends and strangers. Jill will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Jill is survived by her husband of 31 years, William T. “Bill” Schaudt whom she described in one of her scrapbooks as her “rock”, particularly during her illness.
She is also survived by her son William Andrew “Andy” of Chritiansburg, VA, about whom she wrote, “Andy makes me so proud that I can’t even describe how he has filled up my heart.”
Other survivors are her sister Ellen Limebrook (Bill) of Lake Elsinore, CA; brothers Bill Wedewer (Maria) of Hayden, ID; Paul Wedewer (Connie) of Aurora CO; Dan Wedewer (Marti) of Morrison, CO; nine nieces and nephews and eight grand nieces and nephews.
A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
It was Jill’s wish that memorial contributions be made to the East Bonner County Library, 1407 Cedar Street, Sandpoint, ID 83864. Donations in Jill’s name will be used solely for the purchase of new books.

Edward "Ed" Limberg, 93, of East Hope, Idaho, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2007 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
No Services will be held.
Ed was born on May 12th in Patterson, New Jersey and graduated from high school in Patterson.
He later moved to Wayned, New Jersey and resided there for 37 years, working for Bendix Corporation as a General Foreman in the shipping department. Ed was transferred to Forked River, NJ for 13 years and then transferred to Wantage, NJ until he retired in 1980. He moved to East Hope, Idaho in 2004 to be close to his daughter, Linda A. Both and her husband. He enjoyed his many friends, neighbors and love to play cards.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda A. Both and her husband of Hope, Idaho and grandson, Brent Fraser of Portland, Oregon.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary.

Monica (Millar) Gunn went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2007 in Sandpoint, Idaho, surrounded by her family. She was born in Los Angeles, California, November 10, 1934, to parents Stephen and Alberta (Martyn) Millar. She lived 71 years in the La Crescenta Valley of Southern California. She moved to Sandpoint in 2006.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry Gunn, son, Kevin Gunn (Chris) of Lynnwood, Washington, daughters, Teryl Gunn Riley (Sean) of Bothell, Washington, and Brenna Gunn Meredith (Drew) of Sandpoint, Idaho; grandchildren, Aaron, Ben, and Cory Gunn, Derick and Lauren Riley, and Max, Zoe, and Mya Meredith. She is now reunited with her granddaughter, Taya Gunn. Also, surviving her are sisters in California, Marilyn (Millar) Sund, Anne (Riley) Windsor, and Melanie (Millar) Brown, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law in Spokane, Marlene (Gunn) and Walter Estelle, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and their families.
Monica was an active member of St. Luke’s of the Mountains Episcopal Church in La Crescenta, California, for 71 years. She was active in several Episcopal Church movements, Cursillo and SOMA, and made 2 missions trips to Africa in connection with the church. She also was active in Community Bible Study for over 10 years. Additionally, Monica served in PTA, receiving the Honorary Service Award, Verdugo Hills Women’s Chorus, Glendale Council Girl Scouts of America, and P.E.O., Chapter MZ of La Canada.
She attended Glendale area schools and the P.E.O. Cottey College in Missouri.
Monica was an artist, singer, leader and good friend to many. Her family and friends will greatly miss her strength of character, strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, encouragement and support, and unique sense of humor.
Arrangements for a memorial service are pending for late November at St. Luke’s of the Mountains, in La Crescenta, California. The church office can be contacted for information in November. A memorial has been set up in her name through Elizabeth House, a Christ-centered shelter for mothers in crisis pregnancy and their children, P.O. Box 94077, Pasadena, CA, 91109. Elnora L. (Howard) Cook, 91, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2007 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Elnora was born August 13, 1916 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to parents Elmer L. Howard and Sophronia T. (Johnson) Howard.
She graduated from high school in Oklahoma City where she was active in swimming, and music as a singer and pianist. She started playing the piano in church as a young girl and was able to play by ear her whole life.
She married Winston Cook on December 25, 1935 and lived with him sixty-two years until his death in 1998. They moved from Oklahoma to Detroit, Michigan after their marriage and had two children: Winston (Wynn) H. Cook and Dolora L. Cook (Deal). She completed a course at a secretarial and bookkeeping school which was a skill she utilized for the rest of her life.
After World War II ended in 1945 the Cooks moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho where they bought what was to become Cook’s Electric and joined in a twenty-five year partnership with Ray Houck. Elnora had a weekly call-in musical program called the Sue Cook show on Sandpoint radio station KSPT in the late forties where she played the piano and sang.
Elnora and Winston moved to the Sandpoint area after selling the family business in the mid-seventies and lived at their Bottle Bay cabin for a year until they built their home on the lake in Sandpoint. They RV’d while in Sandpoint and then lived in Sun City West, Silver City, New Mexico, and Hood River, Oregon finally returning to Sandpoint in 1998 where her husband Winston died. Elnora lived the last five years with her son’s family and her dog Rosie. She was always active in making music and loving her extended family and friends. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter Dolora Cook (Deal) in Sun Valley, Idaho , son Winston (Wynn) Cook at Trestle Creek Idaho, and grandchildren Wendy Deal in Bend, Oregon, Ryan Deal in Littleton, Colorado, and Spencer Cook in Trestle Creek.
In Bonners Ferry, Elnora was active as a homemaker, bookkeeper for the family business, dance teacher, Bonners Ferry Methodist church choir director for over twenty years, and P.E.O. Chapter member and community musician both in Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Sophronia Howard, and siblings: Ed Howard, Estella (Howard) Thomas, Elton Howard, and Elvira Faye (Howard) Causton.
Elnora had a rich full life and was loved by all her friends and extended family. A Celebration of Life for her life will be held next summer for family and friends.

Robert Emmett “Bob” Allen, 85, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2007 in Sandpoint, Idaho. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 6th at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint with Pastor Kenneth Smith of the First Baptist Church officiating. Military honors will be performed by the Marine Corp League. A potluck gathering will follow at the VFW Hall. Inurnment will take place at the Lakeview Cemetery

Bob was born in a tent on May 24, 1922 in Louisville, Colorado to Lee and Josephine Allen. When Bob was 9 years old the family moved to Grass Valley, CA.
Bob enlisted in the United States Marine Corp May 21, 1942. He served in the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division in the South Pacific during World War II. During leave, Bob visited his family who had moved to Sandpoint. He met Lucille Hadley at the roller skating rink on North 3rd; they were later married on September 14, 1946.
Bob was a highly skilled draftsman, self taught engineer, welder, and fabricator. He began his career with Pack River Lumber Co. and was known for designing the logo, “Packy the Beaver.” He later owned Allen Machine Shop with his brother Lloyd. Over the years Bob helped design and construct 26 lumber mills in the Northwest, including the Brand S Lumber Mill, now known as Riley Creek Lumber Co. Bob retired briefly at 65, only to be hired by Lignetics to help on a “short project.” While at Lignetics, Bob would travel to West Virginia to help design and construct their new plant. Fourteen years later he retired a second time at the age of 81.
He was a member of the Marine Corp League, and enjoyed drawing, metal and wood working. He was also a talented artist and cartoonist.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lucille Allen of Sandpoint, ID; daughter, Kathy and husband Dr. Ken Conger of Bozeman, MT; son, Robert (Peggy Jo) Allen of Sandpoint, ID; two grandchildren Blair Eveland and Ashley Allen; three brothers, Lloyd (Wilma) Allen of Sandpoint, ID, Bill (Nettie) Allen of Sagle, ID and Everett (Betty) Allen of Spokane, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Debra Eveland, brother Leroy Allen, and sister Jessie Richards.

Thomas A. “Tom” Lloyd, 50, passed away on November 4, 2007 in a Salem, Oregon hospital.

Tom was born on December 27, 1956 in Denver, Colorado. He moved with his family to Bellingham, Wa. and graduated from Seahome High School in Bellingham.
He lived and worked in the Spokane area for several years.
Survivors include his father, Leland “Lee” (Marie) Lloyd of Sagle, Id.; mother, Marjorie Lloyd of Ferndale, WA.; brother, Rick (Laurie) Lloyd of Ferndale, WA; sister, Kathleen (Tim) Hartnett of Plainsfield, IL.; several nephews, aunts, and one uncle also survive.
