Roberta Joy Green, 61, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at her home in Cocolalla, Idaho.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Tampa, Florida.
Roberta was born on December 12, 1946 in Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Margaret Meeks and moved with her family as an infant to Tampa, Florida.
She grew up and attended local schools and graduated from High School in Tampa. She worked as a Nurses Aide.
Roberta moved to Lincoln, Montana and in 1996, moved to Sandpoint, Idaho. She married Cameron Green in Sandpoint, 13 years ago and made their home in Cocolalla, Idaho until the time of her death.
Her Hobbies included cooking, feeding the wild animals around her home as well as her own pets. She enjoyed working on her computer, and loved the outdoors.
Survivors include her husband, Cameron Green of Cocolalla, Id.; son, Daniel McCartney II of Tampa, Florida; grandson, Daniel McCartney III of Cocolalla, Id.; and brother, Bubba Meeks of Florida.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents.

John Edward Good, 61, passed away in a Sandpoint, Idaho, nursing home on March 23, 2008. He was born August 24, 1947, in Boise, Idaho, the son of Walter H. and Frances F. (Roach) Good.
He had many interests in music, electronics and clocks over the years. John played and performed for many years at various churches. He also was involved in building Tracker organs, harpsichords and clavichords.
John spent the last 20 years helping care for his mother, which allowed her to live in her own home, and for which the family was very grateful.
He is survived by his mother, Frances; his sister, Cathy (John) Gilliland of Descanso, California, to whom he was very close (“the mud pie gang”) and a brother, Larry (Carolyn K.) Good of Boise (the nemesis of “the mud pie gang”’ their children, Laura (Kevin) Woodall and Colin (Korisa) Good and grandnephews, Connor and Sawyer Woodall of Boise and Maximus Good of Lowman.
The family wishes to thank Joan Timblin of Sandpoint for all her help and friendship over the years and John’s neighbors, the Cooks.
We will remember the little boy who puttered in the back-yard irrigation water in the Fridays of summer.

Jack R. Armstrong, 91, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Viewing for friends and family will be held from 1-3pm, Saturday, January 5th at the Lakeview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 7th at the Lakeview Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Johnson of the New Song Bible Church officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery. There will be a gathering at the Lakeview Funeral Home reception area following the services.
Jack was born in Wichita, Kansas December 10, 1916 to Ralph and Sophronia Armstrong. He graduated from East High School in Wichita and went on to pursue a life long career in the dental laboratory profession.
Jack married Sarah Wiant on October 21, 1972 in Wichita. The couple retired in 1984 and moved to Sandpoint to be closer to family and to help build the log church which is now the New Song Bible Church in Sagle. Jack worked part time for the Forest Service building roads and trails. He then spent 8 years doing maintenance work on the old and new day lodges at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.
He enjoyed fishing, and building model airplanes. He loved his family and especially all of his grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and everyone who new him loved him and he loved them. He will be sorely missed by his dog, of ten years “Sissy.”
He is survived by his wife of 35 beautiful years Sarah Armstrong, Sandpoint, ID; son, Bill (Barbara) Armstrong of Rancho Murieta, CA; two step-daughters, Connie Watson of Sandpoint, ID and Crista Bushel of Sandpoint, ID; sister, Nancy (Pete) Petrie of Aurora, CA; four grandsons, Keith Armstrong, Wichita, KS, Gary (Teresa) Blankenship of Sandpoint, ID; Tim (Jeannie) Blankenship of Sandpoint, ID and Tre (Nicole) Bushell of Sandpoint, ID; granddaughter, Chelsea (Luis) Tovar of Coeur d’Alene, ID; three great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Armstrong and sister-in-law Bobbi Armstrong.

Walter William Wright, 87, a cousin to the famous “Wright Brothers,” Wilbur and Orville, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008 in Sandpoint, Idaho. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 pm, Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel with Charley Packard officiating.
Walter was born on October 24, 1921 in Loveland, Colorado to Lynn and Myrtle Wright. He was born with a handicapped foot and even after several operations it challenged him for rest of his life.
Walter grew up and attended school in Loveland. He started training horses at 10 years old and became a wrangler at 14. His passion in life was breaking horses, which he did for 13 years in Wyoming and Colorado. Walter married Julie Higgins on September 6, 1985 in Reno, NV. They made their home in Payette, Idaho where he worked for J.R. Simplot and Kit Mobile Homes. The family moved to Sandpoint in 2001.
Walter was always a gentleman and was respected and loved for that. He will be missed by many. Walter was a companionate man who always extended a helping hand. He loved nature and wood working, and he enjoyed camping, gardening, fishing, and reading.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Wright of Sandpoint, ID; five sons, Lynn Wright of Sandpoint, ID, Walter Wright, Jr. of Caldwell, ID, Leonard Wright of Charleston, SC, Wayne Wright of Klamath Falls, OR, Danny Wright of Bovill, ID; sister, Carol Yockey of Wellington, CO; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Kenneth Lee Wright, one brother Paul Wright, and one sister Alma Monroe.

Thomas Walker “Tom the Bomb” passed away in his sleep, December 14, 2008 in Sandpoint, Idaho at the age of 94. Funeral Services will be held in Portland, Oregon, at the Riverview Abbey Chapel on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. with a remembrance gathering immediately following at the Gateway Elks Lodge #2411.
Tommy was born on August 13, 1914, in Portland, Oregon, to Andrew M. Walker and Frances Elizabeth Nye Walker. He grew up in Portland, Oregon, where he attended school, played hockey and baseball.
During the depression, Tommy joined the CCC’s working to build roads in southern Oregon. He then went to work on the docks as a longshoreman. During World War II, Tommy entered the U.S. Army and was assigned to the 635th Tank Destroyer Battalion. He was part of the D-Day invasion force landing and fighting on Omaha Beach in Normandy France on June 6, 1944. He fought during the Battle of the Bulge and throughout Germany until the end of the war. While in the Army he fought as a boxer.
After the war, Tommy returned to Portland and resumed his career as a longshoreman working as a walking boss until retiring in 1976. Tommy enjoyed attending the I.L.W.U. annual picnics at Oaks Park and Cullaby Lake.
Tommy married Audrey Belton in 1943. Audrey passed away in 1984. In 1986 he married Betty Jean Lawson Feyen.
Tommy was the “Pappy of Mushball”, playing mushball in Portland Leagues for many years. Playing into his 70’s, he was a feared opponent when he was on the pitchers mound. Tommy enjoyed salmon and steelhead fishing. He also enjoyed collecting coupons and shopping, trying to get the best bargains he could find. He was a member of I.L.W.U. Local 92, Portland Elks # 142, and Gateway Elks #2411.
In May 2008, Tommy moved with his wife Betty to Sandpoint, Idaho to live with and be cared for by family. Tommy’s love, kindness, generosity, sense of humor and attitude towards life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Betty Jean Walker; step sons, Douglas Saldivar, Rick Hamilton, Mark Hamilton, E. Hans Feyen III and Kurt Feyen; step daughter, Nila Hamilton; nephew, Thomas Walker; nieces, Valerie Duncan and Sally Champlin; numerous grandchildren as well as numerous great nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Audrey; five brothers, George, Ted, Harry, Andrew, and Edward Walker; one sister Elizabeth Walker Johnson; four nephews, Jerry Walker, Kyle Walker, Norman Walker and Robert Johnson.

Floyd Edward Mutz, 89, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008 in Clark Fork, Idaho. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 3:00 pm at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Nickodemus officiating. Mr. Mutz will be buried in Pinecrest Cemetery
next to his wife Dorothy.
Floyd was born on February 2, 1919 in Los Angeles, California to Earl and Ava Mutz. During WWII, Floyd raised turkeys to feed the troops overseas. After the war he followed construction jobs in various locations in California, Nevada, and Washington. Seeking a more permanent life style he took a job with Union Oil Company at Collier Carbon and Chemical Corp. in Brea, CA. He worked as a pipe-fitter and crew foreman.
Floyd married Dorothy Swiggen on April 27, 1962 in Santa Ana, CA. Floyd retired after 25 years and he and Dorothy went on to run concession stands at the Los Angeles County Fair Grounds. Floyd and Dorothy were snowbirds for many years, finally settling in Hope, Idaho. Following Dorothy’s death in 2005, Floyd moved to Clark Fork.
He is a member of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sandpoint. He enjoyed his dog “Missy,” playing Pinochle at the Senior Center in Clark Fork, and playing poker with his friends.
He is survived by his two sons, Floyd E. Mutz and William R. Mutz; two daughters, Marian Garrett Ratzak and Paula Johanna Baxter; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Dorothy.
